@teamginger13 mine went well... was much less painful than I anticipated, that HSG has made me a nervous wreck that everything is going to be painful. I officially have one month of treatment down, fingers crossed I wont need another, but at least I know what is coming next time.

@kelrauh and @teamginger13 Done and done! This one really hurt (I never hear about other people's IUIs hurting?), so I came home and napped it out. Now I'm just crampy. The doc said I'm ovulating now, so fx crossed one of those little buggers gets in! The dreaded 2WW begins!

hbomb513 FX for you! My dr said one of the reasons it hurts more sometimes for some people is because it depends on where they are in their cycle on the position/openness of their cervic. I hope the pain has gone away now!

The big day for us is tomorrow- first IUI!  I'm cautiously optimistic along with many of you...congrats to everyone with the BFP!

@karabeth23 goodluck on IUI today! U have probably already read u may experience mild cramping afterwards should not be uncomfortable after my 3rd i had the same mild cramps.

@hbomb513 it also can depend how gentle RE is when inserting catheter i've experience two different REs for IUI and one defenitely had a "heavier hand" that led to a bit more cramping. Welcome to the TWW and goodluck!

@hbomb513 my first IUI I had cramping, and nothing my second. My first they triggered me a little early bc I had a 3rd follie that was catching up with the other two and my RE wanted to trigger me before it could catcxh all the way up. My second IUI I was already surging on my own. I'm wondering if my cervix was a little more open for the second one? I also did have two different doctors, so that could have had something to do with it too.

Just had my first ultrasound....he said my body is acting like its 22 LOL (im 36).I have 3 good sized follies on the left and 2 good ones on the right. I find out in an hour when my IUI will be!!!

So blood work came back not ovulating yet...they don't usually trigger because they prefer it to happen naturally. Back for another ultrasound and blood work on Sunday CD 15. They said to bring my husband just in case!

The theory of whether the cervix is open or not totally makes sense, but since I was ovulating at the time, I would think it would have been open? Who knows. Maybe it has something to do with the whole "unexplained infertility", thing...my cervix doesn't want to open and let anything in. I'm still crampy today, but much better than yesterday.

Question....so I'm scheduled to go tomorrow for another ultrasound and blood work. They said to bring my husband just in case I'm ready for my IUI but it's not definite that I will be ovulating (they try not to trigger) would you have sex tonight to increase chances or abstain for the chance of the IUI being tomorrow?! I'm thinking I should call them to see what they say but was wondering what all you knowledgeable ladies would do. This is my first cycle and I just want to do all that I can to help increase my odds! Thanks!

Laura 112 - if I were you I'd definitely  give the clinic a ring and check what's best . For us it was decided to change the ivf to iui cycle on the Monday they scheduled the iui for the Wednesday and said to 'clean the pipes' that evening , on the Monday.  I used a trigger though on the Tuesday morning so it may vary and also it was because DH hadn't 'cleaned the pipes' in about 3 days . We had sex on the the Monday.  Best of luck with it I hope it all goes well for u tmw 

BecauseLove  - how r things with u? Im finding this 2ww worse as the days go on! Im now 10dpiui  , im not sleeping great so feeling exhausted and im now worrying about my may roster incase this doesn't work! I think I'll have to tell people in work , they already know something is up, im off sick and it's looking like I won't be able to do any nights if I have to have ivf (typically there's only mainly  nights left on the roster!) So today I'm feeling a bit stressed and emotional! How is everyone else doing? How are you all managing work?

@laur1212Last IUI DH's count was 300 million (!) with a week of abstinence. This time we bd'd two days before IUI and his count on the day of was 44 million, so it does make a difference. I wouldn't chance it the day before, personally. The only reason we did it was because it seemed DH had plenty of men to spare, and with my follie being so big, I didn't want to possibly miss O. My RE suggests bd'ing the two days after IUI.

@BecauseLoveI had some acupuncture today, and I'm getting a massage AND a haircut next week! Just trying to be nice to myself, and not think too much about it. You're sweet to ask - how are you holding up?

@Jarmey12 I work with a bunch of nosy ass nurses, so it would be tough to fool them for long - not that I would want to! If I'm KU, I'm probably gonna be waving my pee stick and shouting it from the rooftop! Hang in there, I can't wait to be 10dpiui! Exhaustion is a good sign, right?

@becauselove this TWW hasn't been quite as bad as the first one, but still feels long! We are just about halfway there! Luckily DH and I came to my parent's house for Easter weekend, which definitely has distracted me. How are you holding up?

Jarmey12 So hard about ttc and working and figuring out when to tell people or what to tell them. I hope that you get your BFP in the next few days...hugs to you during this crazy time! 
hbomb513 Good to spoil yourself! So much of this proccess is stressful it is always good if you can find some me time in the middle of it. Plus massages are awesome and Accupunture can help with baby making...and a good haircut can make any day a better day! FX to you!

I am doing pretty well (other than not being chill at all). I did fit in some accupunture 2 times this week...hopefully that helps some...and yesterday we went to bed at like 8pm and I didn't get out of bed until noon...watched some movies and just layed low...loved it!

I have been doing a ton of SS! Yesterday I had this crazy cough and sinus thing (cold like symptoms) for half the day and then it was just gone. During acupuncture my acupuncturist said I was crazy warm. Who knows if either of these things have anything to do with TTC....BUT <<<<<<<TMI CM>>>>>>>>>
This morning while in the tub a ginormous blob of CM came of of me...egg whitey in some spots, and green/brownish mostly with a little tiny darker brown/red. I have never ever ever had that happen to me. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I can't tell if it means we had successful implantation or if it means that we are working our way to a BFN. Any advice from avid CM people would be great!!

@BecauseLove, how are you? My TWW is going so slowly, I feel! Trying to stay positive, but the last few days have been harder because it seems I see babies everywhere. I love that everyone has them, but it makes me more emotional. I hate that I let doubts creep in, but they do. My husband says that is normal, and that I have to be letting the good outweigh the bad or I would be crying all the time, which is true. On another note, I haven't been sleeping well, either. Hoping that is a positive sign! Prayers for all of us! So thankful for you all! Happy Easter!

@BecauseLoveThat's crazy, I wish I had some insight for you! My CM has always been scanty, so I've definitely never experienced anything like that. I hope it's a good sign!

Just started the nasty progesterone today. I swear that stuff makes me an acne ridden crazy person, but I'll do whatever helps me get a BFP!

I am 4dpiui. I had an ovidrel injection 6 days ago. I am feeling nausea, some cramping, a crazy sense of smell and most of all I cannot even function once 10am hits because I am so exhausted. Are these normal side effects for ovidrel?

@kelrauh, yes those are normal symptoms for ovidrel. When I am in my TWW after IUI I am totally exhausted and have issues with nausea. I wouldn't stress about it!

@becauselove, I SS like crazy too. I try to remind myself that these symptoms haven't meant anything for the past 2 years, but of course we want it so bad, it's hard to not read into how our bodies feel and hope for the best.

i think I'm going to test Wednesday to see if my trigger is out yet. The weekend went by quickly, hoping this week does too!

Kelrauh those are the exact symptoms I had when on ovideral. I also got sore nipples and puked one night out of nowhere. Now I do pregnyl triggers and they don't really have any side effects for me. Best of luck!

Thank you ladies. It just caught me off guard, I have also had the breast and nipple pain along with everything else.... it doesn't help feeling that way on a Holiday and having everyone ask if I'm pregnant because I was nauseated and exhausted.

msirni0 and hbomb513 Thanks for listening and the support as I tipped over the SS side of things. I did talk to my dr today and she says that what I described could very well be a sign of implantation. I wouldn't be such a SS person but because I have always had a irregular cycle all the things that happen to me feel super alien. Side Notey Dr. decided that I should get a progesterone test today. 

bbkidz I hope you had a good easter and were able to get some sleep! Lack of sleep I think makes the ttc/ss/tww so much harder. One of the best suggestions to make the TWW go faster that I have ever seen is to makes sure you get in naps . Hugs as you wait it out. And your right babies everywhere!!!!
kelrauh Sorry! I know how awful the TWW is and how crazy it makes you and the ovideral symptoms are so intense that I totally get it.

@kelrauh I am with you girl. 4dpiui and I feel crampy and sick to my stomach also. I know it is way too early to have pregnancy symptoms so I am sure it is the ovidrel (although I didn't have this my last IUI... bodies are weird). Either way I hope you (and I) feel better soon!

I had my beta this morning, BFN for me so I'll be stopping the progesterone pills and they should AF should arrive in 2-3 days. I have to do a cycle day 2 US and then my RE will decide to do another round of clomid or go to injectables. I'm going to request to move to injectables since my insurance has a lifetime cap on procedures and I'm limiting my number of IUI's so we have coverage left if we need to go to IVF. For those who got their BFP this month congrats! For those with BFN's I'll see you on the April IUI page.

I hope everyone else is doing well and that you all had a good Easter. I am 12piui today I did a test yesterday evening with a frer - BFN (it wasn't a great hold) and tested with an Internet cheap this morning BFN . I have no spotting or sign of AF, but have cramps on and off .It have a digital first response for the morning. I'm not very hopeful but praying for a nice surprise . Im still onthe progesterone.

@teamginger13I'm on 4dpiui too - I have these constant side stitches, which I'm sure is from the drugs, since I had them last cycle too. How are we not supposed to read into every little symptom??

~Sorry for the negativity~ Mentally I'm not feeling so great today. I really think it's the progesterone, since I felt this way last cycle around this time - overall very hopeless. I've been positive until now, but now I find myself thinking, "You've done this so many times. Why would you be pregnant this time? Silly girl, other people get to be pregnant, not you. Don't get your hopes up." Isn't that terrible?? And I hate myself for thinking this way, because I totally believe in self-fulfilling prophecies.
Anyway, I'm trying to ignore my hateful brain, and I've been meditating and sending love and light to my belly every night (I totally recommend Mayan abdominal massage pre-ovulation, btw). That is, if the progesterone doesn't knock me out by 9pm!

Thanks for reading, I hope I didn't bring anybody down. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow. How's your headspace?

@hbomb513 I am feeling the same way today. 4Dpiui must be our hard day. It feels discouraging to have symptoms at this point. I have always felt like I won't get pregnant. This month I put my wall down and thought it was a possibility. After the last few days of crazy symptoms I feel less optimistic because know it's just the Ovidrel. I hope in 10 days we will both be doing our happy dance with BFPs

Thanks @kelrauh. I don't know how I go from, "I think this is the one! I feel like this one worked!" to the complete opposite in just a short time. I'm blaming the drugs. We know in our logical minds our "symptoms" don't mean anything one way or another, but I can't help reading into them either!
I'm going to test on 4/6 (13dpiui). I know it's a little early (RE said to test on 4/9), but DH leaves for two weeks that day, and just in case, I would love to send him off with good news!

hbomb513  - I totally understand what you mean I've been very emotional and just generally feeling the same at times , and it's is my first iui , so I can't imagine what I'll be like if I have to go on to ivf if this fails! I think the whole experience of getting a BFP JUST seems so illusive; we darent get our hopes up so to speak. But your right to keep going with your prophecies.i jump back into being positive and hopeful as well too.i do chalk alot of the emotional,  irrational  stuff up to the meds and hormones but also to this harrowing f**ING journey we're on. Its tough going (and so I've no patience and hate the not knowing!)

@hbomb513 I think we all do it. My husband is even going through the ups and downs himself. I think it's hard that most women have the symptoms and it makes them realize they are pregnant. We have a light going off saying hey you are having pregnancy symptoms but we have to have enough will power to ignore it. My doctor said 16 days after the trigger which would be the 6th. I would think you would be okay on day 13. Hopefully you will send him off excited.

Bfn. Again. I'm starting to not even care anymore. This was my 7th cycle. I had one mc and one chemical. I really don't know where to go from here Bc Ivf is so exp. How many cycles is just punishment ? Does anyone know someone or experienced a bfp after cycle 7?
