Too matchy??

not yet pregnant, but interested in opinions on some of our favorites for future #2.. DS is Silas Eldon. Last name sounds like Stree-gul

Had #1 been a girl, she would have been Iris Eileen. I love it, and DH is still convinced. But I'm worried about it being too matchy with Silas? DH doesn't think it is at all...

Honest thoughts please? Other ideas? We have thrown around Etta... I like Hazel and Wren, he doesn't really.. Eileen is a family name and I love it. Definitely middle name spot. First name maybe
TIA

edited to to give more ideas on style- love the names Olive, Fiona, Lucy, but we have close ties, so they are out. Prefer nothing too popular, which is why we crossed out Charlotte nn Lottie, and Lily.

Re: Too matchy??

  • Silas and Iris are wayyy to matchy and I just picture a life time o tongue twisters and calling/hearing the wrong name.

I do like Etta although more as a nickname for something longer like Loretta, Marietta, Colette....

  • I think Iris and Silas are way too matchy.

    I like Eileen.

    Other suggestions.

  • Definitely way way too matchy.
  • Thanks for suggestions. Keep em coming!

I knew it was too matchy, but I needed someone else to tell me!! My husbands argument is "they are seperate people" "they will only be grouped together for a short time in their life" ... I know it's bad, haha. I just don't love any name as much! Hence the search early! Thanks!
