Ok frosting lovers... best thing ever "Funfetti cake cheeseball"... funfetti cake mix, cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar. Form into a ball, cover in sprinkles, dig in with nilla wafers, teddy grahams, or.. OBVIOUSLY, a spoon!! I made it once and now it's requested every time my husband's work has a potluck. SO TASTY!
So I'm sitting at my desk right now, DYING in anticipation. Today is DD's Valentine's Day part at daycare and we're using her Valentine to our care provider as our announcement that #2 is on the way. (I wrote "From: E and Baby H" with the due date.) I've been waiting ALL DAY for a text or something from her but figured, realistically, they'd probably have their party after naps. So here I am, wondering, what's going on over there and when they're going to exchange Valentine's! Meanwhile, I just had three different friends text me randomly in the last several minutes and I keep thinking, "This is it!" I should have thought this through when I decided to be absent from the reveal, haha.
The closest Wegmans to me is 35 minutes away or one by my parents 55 minutes away. I go to Wegmans at least once a week (there are two grocery stores 5 minutes away...) I love me some Wegmans! Their chocolate and vanilla cakes are to die for.
@AnnaS930Thanks!! I bought the funfetti cake mix (and pop tarts) at Target today! LOL. It was clearly on my brain. I can't wait to get cream cheese and make it soon!

I lived in Buffalo for 14 months. Wegmans bakery was awesome!
this pregnancy I have been craving cake. I usually hate cake. We didn't even have a wedding cake I hate it so much
My dad is originally from Buffalo so he grew up with Wegmans. When it came to town (about 8 minutes away) he'd go there just for milk even though there was a convenience store like a minute from home. He's obsessed haha. True story, Danny Wegman walked up to me in one of his stores, introduced himself and shook my hand. I was a bit star struck lol
I have to brag a little. My youngest stepdaughter, 10yrs old, was sick Wednesday and Thursday. Stayed home from school, barely out of bed, hardly eating kind of sick. afrwr I got her off the bus today I had to run down to the neighbors for a min and she asked if she could stay home alone for that little bit. No biggie. I pulled into our driveway, she ran out of the house and told me to stay in my truck for 10 more mins. So I did. When I went in she had done al the dishes, picked up all my sons toys, blankets... Everything! The whole first floor was spotless!! She had written a note that said 'I'm sorry I wasn't able to to my chores Wednesday and Thursday so I wanted to make up for it. I love you tons.' Talk about bawling like a baby, she's just the sweetest thing ever. Of course she didn't have to make up her chores, but she always thinks of others and helping.
I came in here to talk about insomnia. It's 4am and I've been awake for an hour and a half trying to convince myself not to eat. And now I need breakfast pizza. DAMNIT!!
@drmh22 I've been experiencing the same thing! Last night I woke up to pee and could not got back to sleep. My stomach was growling so I went downstairs and grabbed the first thing I saw in the pantry (Cheerios). Poured a bowl (no milk bc I was half asleep) and went back to bed. I definitely ate them in my sleep bc I woke up and they were all over creation (in hair, pillow, blankets, etc). So worth it.
Ohhh I love Wegmans!!! The closest one to me is 73 miles away but my mom does a lot of business upstate, so she sometimes brings me home treats, or if I go with her we stop at one of the really big ones upstate and I go nuts.
I don't have a Wegmens near me but my sister used to live in Maryland which has them. We all got completely turned on to the basting oil and now make road trips to buy them in bulk whenever traveling out of town to visit family/friends in states with a Wegmens. Lol.

Miss a day miss a lot on here. I'll just chime in on the last thing. I moved a couple years ago and heard of a Wegmans for the first time. I thought about checking it out but never have, but now I will have to. We told H's parents last night with a book of baby knitting patterns. MIL didn't get it at first lol, but is very happy (1st grandchild). Also found out she thought we didn't want kids, not sure why. I guess we have been married for 7 years but H was getting his PhD for most of it so we waited. H's brother and SIL are going to announce today. It was so stressful with the changing plans but I think it worked out. I still think doing it at the same time would have been awesome but last night was nice.
I really like our board I know some like contention and snark but I'm a fan of everyone getting along, supporting each other, respectfully disagreeing and keeping the board active. Yay, September 2016!

I confess that I love snark. My first BMB was much snarkier than this one, and I thrived off of it. But I do love this board. The girls on here are great and keep it real without making it "puppies and rainbows".
Woke up this morning and it's -10, with a Real Feel of -40. And guess what? Our heat is not working. Left a message with the landlord but he better get it fixed fast or my little blueberry is going to freeze! Looks like we'll be spending the day at a friends house, hope they don't mind a group hang out for Valentines Day
Last night my sister was describing the homemade apple pie she made for my grandmother a few weeks ago. So guess who dreamed about pie all night long last night? #thepregnantlife
@mom2adoodle definitely loving the vibe from this group.
I finally got to see my little shrimp last night, and it was amazing (I paid for an elective one at a private clinic). I'm only 9w instead of 11w, and I know that's already going to be problematic for my scheduled anatomy scan because I won't be far enough along to do a proper assessment. I don't think I'm going to say anything to the doc, because then I'll have an extra ultrasound. Not sure yet though.

@TheTamedShrew I'm the same way- I don't have specific cravings so much as I hear about or see something that looks or sounds good and then I'm OBSESSED! A local restaurant posted pictures of their Valentine's Day red velvet everything breakfast, and they had me at Red Velvet French Toast with fresh strawberries and nutella. So that happened this morning. Poor DH had no choice, we waited the 40 minutes for a table so I could get my food on.
Guess what was closed today? My daughter's school. Guess who drove her there anyway after running around like a crazy person trying to get both of us ready? Yup, one of those mornings. I sat in the parking lot and cried.
SarahMConnors - That perfect describes my cravings. I don't crave anything, until someone mentions it or I see it on TV. Then I MUST HAVE IT. Until I get distracted and I forget about said craving.

DH may not survive lol. I stashed two rare imperial pumpkin beers from my favorite brewery, that I bought last year and was saving for my birthday this year (which is after baby comes), it's a tradition to do a hike and have one of their brews at the top. I just walked into the kitchen and see DH drinking one of the two that I have. I am irrationally angry. Fully aware it's just a beer... That they don't make any more... And haven't made in two years... And I bought the last two they have... And there are far worse things, but right now, I just want to strangle him. Yup. Irrationally angry. If I weren't Oregon I'd just take it from him and enjoy it myself, but I can't. So. Mad.
@SarahMConnorsNow you are REALLY speaking my language!! I am a total craft beer enthusiast and understand the value of a phenomenal and rare beer. It would have been so different if he asked if you cared if he had the beer, right? Because I bet you were either planning you would enjoy them together or damn it, you wanted them both for yourself! But to walk in on him drinking it would have so set me off too. Who makes the beer? My fav. pumpkin ale is Pumpking by Southern Tier in NY...

@tiffanyschaetz what if it's a plan to get you there for a Surprise 30th Birthday party?!!
Or maybe I'm thinking of this because I just watched "The Middle" and Frankie missed her surprise party.

@mom2adoodle @themaritemama thanks, ladies. Such silly tears.
They were foot to foot two weeks ago, with room to spare, so looks like things are getting noticeably more crowded in there!
