Focus on your daughter. She needs you more than ever to advocate for her! Write any weird behavior from fiancée down on a time line, and try to remember just when she started acting off. This might go deeper than you think if it's been weeks now, but he said he dropped her only a week ago. I really hope for your daughters sake it wasn't a more than once occurrence. You did the right thing taking her to the dr and hospital. Do what you can to speak for her and keep her safe. As someone mentioned above, I would seek legal advice ASAP.
It's good that he told you now but I support getting legal advice. Would think it would have to be a pretty major fall to cause that, not something he'd forget. But you did the right thing for your daughter and you will continue to because you're a great mom. Mom's have to speak for their kids when they can't. And you will get through this. I hope everything is going well and hope you're getting the support you need. You will be ok my thoughts!
The fact you can document telling the pedi something was wrong multiple times (and being brushed off) will really help you with CPS! You can show them that a) you had no idea the cause, and b) that you acted in the best interests of the child.
You have lots of support here, I hope you get some good news soon!
Prayers for your family and lo. I know how the part is when someone reports cps esp for no reason. The doctor was then reported in our case because she was actually being racist because my hubby and I are a mixed couple. Plus our family and friends threaten to beat the lady down. The nurses were disgusted and in disbelief when we told them what the doc did and they said he's a boy he will get hurt alot. Plus nothing suspicious happened. Make sure you get anyone and everyone on your side. I'm so tired of families being judged and accused of things that isn't their fault. We were young parents at the time and should've sued. Hope they get off your back and give you all a break.
@kimevs21 I'm sorry your family had a poor experience but the fact that this baby has more than one bleed on her brain after a supposed fall is a huge red flag and most certainly warrants CPS questioning. I hope all is well and it is determined that LO's injury is caused by an unfortunate accident. I do hope mama seems legal advice to support her through this sad ordeal. Prayers to the family!
Another update. She had her first of what they think will be a few surgeries. She's doing well they have her on anti sezuire meds and they're gonna keep her awhile. After speaking with the doctor they said it makes sense for the hemorrhage to be only a week old. We're met with DCFS and some detectives. My parents and myself told them about the fall, and he admitted it. We don't know what's next but she'll be here at least 2 weeks
Thoughts and prayers to your family. She is in great hands and I'm sure the doctors will do everything they can for your LO. You are an amazing mom to pick up on something being wrong. We will be thinking of you
Thank you everyone for all the support and love! It means so much right now, she's sleeping as peacefully as she can with a breathing tube and body brace. But they are controlling her sezures with medicine and they said she's moving and responding which is good
Oh @aleecats my heart goes out to you and your DD. You are a wonderful mom and she is lucky to have you by her side! She sounds like a tough cookie, and I pray her strength will get you through this. Love & hugs!
Morning everyone! Cindys woken up finally after surgery but the sezuire medication are making her go in and out of sleep. She's responsive which is good but they're trying to get her sezures under control. She's heading into an MRI soon which will determine what they'll have to do next.
I am so sorry this is happening. Your family is in my thoughts. I'm glad she is better this morning and I hope this nightmare will be over soon for you guys. Be strong for your baby.
I am so happy to hear she is doing better this morning. You and your family are in my prayers. I pray she will continue to improve rapidly with no long term effects. She is blessed to have such a strong and vigilant mother.
I've been doing the "I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you." Prayer mantra for you and your daughter. Just wanted you to know I'm here following your updates and have you and your family in my thoughts.

Out of curiosity, how was she acting when you knew something was wrong? Thank goodness you were able to recognize something wasn't right!
