I got the surprise of a lifetime today!! DCFS cleared her to come home, so after cominf home from my home visit with DCFS and the doctors came and told she could go, but we didn't have a Car seat and my dad didn't want to drive the hour home and back so instead we went to target and got her a converta le car seat that she can just keep growing into! We're in the car now heading home and we all have the biggest smiles on. Even baby Cindy Lou
I'm so thrilled for you and your family! I hope Cindy continues to improve and please know that we are all here to support you in the days and weeks ahead. You are such a great example of a selfless mother who continues to put the needs of her child before anything or anyone else.
I am so happy for you and baby Cindy! I only hope that she continues to get stronger and healthier, and that you continue to stay strong too. Good luck with everything! Please keep coming back and updating us, on how you are all doing. Best of luck!
Yay so happy for you both well done you for being so strong and an amazing mum through all this. Cindy is a lucky little lady to have such an amazing mum
Her first night back was great! She almost left your line accident have to give her medication in the middle of the night but you were right back to sleep, she woke up to everyone giving her hugs and kisses. And for the first time in a few weeks no one has to bother Her.
Her first day back was great! We did some errands and she got to hang out with her papa! Next Tuesday she has her intake evals for her out patient therapy program and I have to meet with the states attorney... Not look forward to being interagated again...
Congrats Cindy and Mom on going home and spending quality time together! Prayers that you receive answers from the lawyers! And praise for God and the hands of the physicians and nurses who cares for your darling girl!

I know this sounds maybe ridiculous but can you show them this thread? And your activity on TB? Because even though it's just written, it paints a picture of your journey through your pregnancy and her life. You come off as an amazing and caring mother who had no idea what happened until it came out.
I think you've documented a lot here - documentation is good. Could that be helpful to you, to show some of this?
No no no, Alee. You are NOT supposed to feel like you are being interrogated by the state's attorney. Your daughter (and you) are victims and the County Attorney's office has a Victims Service Unit. The county attorney's office has a webpage with a phone number on it so you can request a victim witness advocate be there with you. I know where this happened, found the articles, so I can assure you what I'm telling you is accurate. The prosecutor does have a job to do and you want/need to tell him the facts, but you should not feel like you are being interrogated. I suggest you ask for the advocate to be at all your meetings if you feel uncomfortable.
@aleecats I just wanted to say that Cindy is so lucky to have you as her mom. I'm sure this is one of the hardest things you'll ever go through but you seem like a warrior and your such a strong human being. God bless you and Cindy, you guys are always in our prayers and thoughts.
Congrats on having her back home and good luck with the attorney, just remember u did nothing wrong and have nothing to hide and you'll be fine I'm sure, so happy she's doing well!
No real updates she starts therapy 3 days a week next week. The states attorney went fine she explained how things will go from here. She said Tims case could take months before he's sentenced so she told us to start moving on with our lives for now
Good advice. You're home with beautiful baby Cindy. Try and put this tragic life altering experience behind you and get on with your life. Kiss that beautiful baby and love her like the wonderful momma that you've proven to the world you are!
@aleecats many of us think about you and your beautiful Cindy every day, I'm from the D15 board but woke up thinking of you two this morning and came to the board to check on updates. Prayers and love still coming from every which way. Hope all is well!!
It's been awhile since there has been an update. I'm sure I'm not the only one who continues to think and pray for you and Cindy. If you have a spare minute, I'd love to hear how you and both doing by now. Hugs to you!
