  • I know I'm going to get slammed for posting this but one thing that really bothers me is how people react when someone does a duplicate post. Is it really the end of the world if someone asks a duplicate question? There is one thing to say, "Hey, this topic has been discussed before. Here is the link so you can take a look at what people said." vs saying, "Use the search function," or "scroll down..." or "right above" or "this has already been discussed."

I know that it can be irritating to have a crowded board but sometimes some of the responses seem a bit harsh.

  • Maybe we can keep this thread going until Thursday, and then that will save someone the work of starting a new UO thread?

From mobile, it is not always easy to copy and paste a link. So directing OP to use the search function will allow her to do the dirty work of looking up past posts herself.

and @vinerie, I agree. Saves me one less thing to do on Thursday ;)
But maybe if I post this gif of Honey Boo Boo dancing, it will scare people off and this post can finally die the death it deserves??

If there weren't rules and posts that are visible all the time to keep duplicate posts from happening than I would understand what you're saying. However, there is.

There is one thing to point out rules... totally another thing to be rude about it :)

Is it done by the same person every single day? If so then yes... rip them a new one. But when it's a newbie who is brand new to the board it's a little different.
