PS - for all those young kids born in the 90s... I am sure you'll never get the same warm feelings from this like the old ladies in here. Just like you missed out on all those 80s movies...
Hey.... I grew up watching Full House on a home made vhs tape because my sister was OBSESSED with uncle Jesse... I remember watching the finale and was like, ok where's the next one? And I cried when she told me there were no more. Lol.
So we're at Costco and our son was lying down in the cart because his tummy was bugging him. At the checkouts and some older lady (maybe like 65/70) comes up and starts patting his butt and talking to him in this weird voice. What the hell? Why do kids get NO bodily autonomy????

Nope! I watched all of Full House because my mom had it on VHS and then it came on Nick at Nite and I watched it every night. I'm positive I've seen every episode at least 3 times, lol. I'm sitting here binge watching Fuller House with the goofiest smile on my face. It's so cheesy but I really do love it.
Umm so I never knew how awesome this thread was and now I'm sad that I won't ever be able to catch up! So I'm just gonna jump in lol. My random is this:
Do you guys know what the term "Netflix and chill" actually means?!?! Because I did not until H just informed me of it because I said it while walking out of the grocery store...apparently it does not mean watch Netflix in your pj's....

I watched it on occasion. My sister who is 21 has seen every episode, they used to replay it like crazy

Haha, yes. I always chuckle when people use it and presume it's innocent. Must have started as a code word to disguise teenage, erm, activities around parents.

2 things...
1. You haven't been in this thread before?! WHAT?! *gasp*
2. I'm kind of sad that I did know what it actually meant. It's definitely not what it means in my world though, lol. To me it most definitely means watching Netflix on the couch, in PJs, with snacks.
Yeah, this DOES in fact feel like a porno with the naked scenes deleted. Sorry guys, but right now the only 'feels' I'm getting are the gag inducing ones.
@MrsB8214 - You gave me a good chuckle I was sad when I heard what it stands for...because my Netflix and chill definitely is yoga pants, binge watching and wine (pre-pregnancy obviously)

When I explained 'Netflix and chill' to my DH... His response: 'brings new meaning to showhole.' Me: (blink blink) bwahahahahaha ha!

Ha! I haven't watched Fuller House yet but I grew up in the 80s and it still really weirds me out a little to think of women born in the 90s having kids because I'm just having them now. Even though I know I'm an older FTM and your 20s is a perfectly acceptable time to have kids...it just does for some reason (probably because I still see myself as young even though I'm mid-30s here).

I can't deal with the fact that people born in the 90s are like, adults. It makes me feel ancient.
I was getting my daughter dressed recently and put her in a hockey t-shirt with a player's name and number on the back. My mind wandered to "I wonder why he picked 97--OH MY GOD IT'S THE YEAR HE WAS BORN" and I almost died of old age right there.
I bought a new 2.5 lb bag of jelly beans you all. As I was taking the entire bag to our room (H is watching TV) H told me to "take it easy on this one"...my reaction is pretty much summed up below (especially since he was drinking a beer while saying it).
@MrsAlliKat so far my favorite is a flip cover with a prefold (mine are imagine brand). It's bulky, but has been very effective for us.
That's my favorite, too!
It has seriosuly been the best for us. I'm hoping the newb is shaped the same as our son because I want to buy all the flips!I just bought 4 more the other day
Okay, just finished binge watching Fuller House while I think I had my first 'nesting' feeling? I mean, I'm a FTM, but I was polishing silverware, so I'm not sure what else it could be unless Danny Tanner rubbed off on me!
I liked it, it's kooky and funny and brought back so many things from the 80's and 90's that I'd forgotten. (Um, slap bracelets!? Spice girls!? The Carlton!?)

1. It took me a while to jump into this thread too, and I love it!
2. I only know because I have cousins who are in college who informed me that it did not mean what I thought it meant.
This is my night.... Rhinestones, Special Victims Unit and heartburn.... Dont mind the messy table... Or the can opener. My mom broke hers. Lol
Ok I definitely need an explanation for this- but in the mean time I'm going to guess what's going on here.
1) You're making yourself the most flamboyant birthing robe possible to bring some razzle dazzle to your birthing experience.
2) You and your husband are about to compete in a roller skating freestyle competition in the hopes of putting the 1st prize money towards baby supplies.
3) You have decided to start working as a magician's assistant, and will eventually incorporate pulling your LO out of a hat.
Every weekend my husband makes me pancakes & brings them to me in bed... I inhale them & then pass back out for another hour or so. I have come to realize this may be the only thing I ever miss about pregnancy !!
@MsBeachNJ Can your H teach a class for other H's?! I mean who wouldn't want pancakes in bed!!!!! Now I really want pancakes....maybe I should have a second breakfast
I have been up since 7am when my BIL left to go to work. I guess this must be how he feels when he gets angry at the girls for waking him up at 1 pm...

Only thing missing from this picture is a nice smear of peanut butter on those pancakes. Also, that's effing amazing he does that. During my first pregnancy my H would rub my feet daily and do so much for me. Now I'm lucky if I get to sleep in past 6:30...
Yes I realize I am very lucky & that given this is our first pregnancy that's it's likely the only time it will ever happen so I'm enjoying every moment!!

Hahahahaha!!!!! Yes! This totally just made my day.
As much as I loved all your scenarios, in reality I'm not all that cool. I made ice skating dresses for some of the little girls at my ice rink for their competition next weekend, and I have to bedazzle them now. one down, 3 to go!!
A few people have posted in some threads, calling some of our (sometimes very old) responses mean, lol. We don't usually get many WK's around here...it's entertaining for a Sunday!
