I can't stop looking at baby giraffes. Lol but I can't buy anything yet because we are also redoing our floors with vinyl light wood. Definitely want a tree and a giraffe family next to it too on the walls. Our walls are gray and I'm happy with it. Nusery furniture will have to be white and I need to get a nice soft rug and must be easy to clean some color to hide stains lol. For the closest I need major organization. thinking of some boxes/milk crate and the separation tags for the months of clothes might make life easier. My husband will be building a nice bookshelf will be white. Still don't know if a girl or boy but definitely will add butterflies if a girl and a boy to add a helicopter(this is our first little one) due July 26.

Mine will be nightmare before christmas. Babies see black, white and red the best as newborns. Im sticking with black and white

If it's a boy, fox theme. For a girl I'm still torn. I know I want shabby chic, not sure on colors. Really like mint, coral with gold accents though.

@cheezus Totally agree! I want the nursery to be an extension of our home, not something totally off the wall that doesn't coordinate.

I have an apt , will be sharing my bedroom with baby, any suggestions of what to do, love animal prints especially monkeys and giraffes.

My husband was hoping to do a neutral theme nursery (not influenced by big corporate companies). We had agreed on an underwater theme, but I was able to have him agree on doing a Finding Nemo underwater theme, as I am super into Disney. We're planning on planting the nursery in March. We'll be doing waves all along the wall, and then a mural by the crib. Hoping to post pictures once it's all done!

My theme is "Oh the places you'll go" from Dr Seuss. Maps, globes, hot air balloons, etc. Very excited!

I'll post a completed picture soon. We bought our house with this bright pink. I think it would overwhelm a baby since it already overwhelms us!

I am a bit frazzled, I had just painted the spare room and turned it into a library (very heavy on greens, browns, and greys for a natural feel), and then turned the tiny closet into a reading nook.  Now...it is going to be a nursery.  I can keep the same colors because we are doing Dragon themed (it was the same for our wedding, and I like dragons).  So black crib, changing table, etc, but mint, navy, and lavender for the bedding colors, and many stuffed and plastic dragons sitting up high.  But, now i have to find a place for all of my bookshelves.  Not that we did not want to get pregnant, I just thought I was sterile based on lots and lots of testing done about 4 years ago.  Surprise!!

I think I just need a bigger house, in a better school district.  I never even thought about school districts when we moved here.  So much stuff to figure out.

I'm with you on that! I think it's easier to decorate with a color scheme than it is  to a theme!

We've decided to go with a Tangled theme for our little girl's nursery. Not so much a "giant rapunzel and Flynn characters everywhere" kind of theme, but more along the lines of the colors, the florals, and the lanterns from the movie. It was always one of mine and my husband's favorite disney movies

This is exactly what I am planning for as well. We are not finding out gender,  so it has been difficult finding neutral bedding and such. Everything seems to be pink or blue.

We are doing Aqua Lavendar and soft green and butterflies using the nojo butterfly bedding from BRU

We just picked out our bedding and I am super excited! We are going with soft pinks, grey and white. The bedding set we chose is from Buy Buy Baby "The Peanut Shell Arianna".

That is my color scheme. It's popular right now and easy to find. We are doing the tribal, feathers and arrows.

The theme for our little man's room is Star Wars. In May, we are painting 2 walls navy and putting glowing stars on them. So far we have some knock knack things for the walls and the Hallmark Itty Bittys to hang from the mobile.
