@andreamm31 it sounds like you were really able to talk things out with your RE which is great. Exciting that you may be able to transfer next month!

AFM, I’m jumping back in the fray with you ladies; you all are always close to my thoughts even as I’ve taken time off earlier this year and I’ve been following along with all of you. We have one embryo left and I am going to try Lupron Depot again. If the embryo sticks I’ll try blood thinners which I’ve never tried before. The Depot plan is a bit different than when I took it last year. Last year they didn’t think I’d get my period for like 3 months after I had the second shot. Well I ended up getting it earlier than they thought and who knows, that may have defeated the whole purpose of taking the Depot which was to suppress endo. This time I am going in for a lining check in early July, exactly 4 weeks after the second shot. I had the first shot on Tuesday and second next month. If the July appointment goes well I’ll just go into a FET cycle right then. Hopefully this will do the trick. Definitely may be feeling a bit of hot flashes but I don’t feel too out of whack otherwise; maybe a little tired.

@lrynwnab I’ll be cycling around the middle of July, ivf. I did Lupron, not sure if it was lupron depot, for endometritis and will probably have to do it again if I get any normal embryos. Hope the timing and everything works out so you can cycle sooner rather than later.

@andreamm31 that is amazing!  Thank you for sharing this. It’s just the reminder I needed today.

AFM, I suffer from PMDD. A week before ovulation and a week before my period of feel like I go crazy. I am extremely irritable and angry. Poor DH has put up with a lot and it’s put a huge strain on us. I took Paxil prior to prepping for the transfer last year. I’ve been on some other meds that aren’t SSRI’s and can be out of my system within a few days. However, they aren’t working. All this to ask, has anyone taken celexa or Zoloft or something else while stimming?  Did you notice a difference in eggs and embryos?

That is amazing news! I know it must feel so much better to have a "plan B" if things don't go your way (although I hope that they do!). The women who do this are so selfless and I think it's really calling. My night nurse in labor/delivery actually told me she had been a surrogate 3 times! And she was so sweet and sensitive; She was the one who encouraged me to request a c-section if I felt more comfortable with that rather than continuing induction (as I imagine we both knew what the real goal of pregnancy is -- to have a healthy and happy baby, not giving birth in any particular way). My husband's youngest sister made a similar offer which really made me feel more confident going ahead with everything.

@Kp214 I have not, but have read on the infertility forum @ reddit folks posing the same question. It may be worthwhile to run a search and see if the topic came up there in the past? Together with you ladies, the folks at reddit have been such a blessing with answers to some of my questions.

@andreamm31- wow, what a kind soul and offer!! I hope you don’t need to take her up on it. But that is always comforting to have a back up plan!! I really hope you can transfer again soon!!

Not Zoloft (I tried it once in grad school and it made me really manic), but I was on prozac during both of my IVF cycles and both have resulted in pregnancy (3 year old DD and 11 weeks w/ DD #2). My psychiatrist is specialized in pharmacology so he knows all sorts of details about those meds. He felt prozac is well-tested and largely safe during pregnancy and postpartum BFing, etc.  He, my OB and RE all agreed it was a good idea to stay on the medicine during pregnancy since untreated maternal anxiety/depression is generally more harmful to the baby than any small risk from SSRI's or other meds.

Zoloft is another one that is largely safe during pregnancy as is Celexa -- they are generally the frontline meds given to pregnant women.

'Treating for Two' from the cdc is a great source of info for medicine usage during pregnancy.

    https://www.cdc.gov/pregnancy/meds/treatingfortwo/index.html

Both of my FET pregnancies were/are largely healthy (only complication was pre-eclampsia at 35 weeks with DD1). DD1 has always been on track or slightly ahead on milestones, particularly cognitive ones (not adjusted for age as most preemies are).

@JamieH2000 PMDD, untreated, has been awful. Thanks for the recommendation. Hope all is well with you. 😊

@mbradfo2 thank you so much. Your post makes me feel much better about taking something. I’m really sensitive to SSRIs, crazy side effects like extreme hair loss, teeth grinding, aching hands to the point it hurts to drive, etc. however, I’m tot he point I’ll take something to feel better and be better. Glad things are well with both children.  This helps a lot.

AFM, I was able to get someone to call in Celexa for me. Zoloft, lexapro, celexa, and Prozac were approved by my re. I hope to feel the effects in a couple of weeks.

    Hi everyone.

@andreamm31 After my successful fresh transfer in 2017, it took me 4 FETs to get to this pregnancy.  The embryos were not tested but we know that the first FET which resulted in a loss tested positive for Tri13, the second FET was a BFN and the third ended in a chemical pregnancy.  My doctor had no answers except for bad luck which made me feel very anxious but confident in the fourth transfer which was successful.

How amazing that this woman that you have connected with has offered to potentially be your GC.

    AFM in spoiler:

I'm 34+5 today and doing fine - sleeping is very challenging and I'm growing more and more uncomfortable every day.  Most of my pregnancy after loss anxiety has subsided since I can feel her every move all day but I am still managing some nerves which is totally normal.  Just 5 short weeks (tops) until I get to hold her and then I will have a whole new set of stressors.  I'm always thinking of you all.

Hello! I am 38 years old. I was diagnosed with DOR last year, I lost most of an ovary years ago from a large ovarian cyst and  I also have endometriosis.

I went through my first ivf round in March. They retrieved 4 eggs, only 2 mature, 2 had delayed fertilization none made it blast.

I’m currently in my 2nd cycle. This cycle we skipped the suppression and they added omnitrope and Metformin. My retrieval was yesterday, they retrieved 3 eggs. 2 fertilized overnight. I’m super anxious waiting on the next update.

@brwneydgrl82 Sorry to hear about the diagnosis and the loss of your ovary, this can be so challenging but this group has lots of advice to provide and more importantly lots of support.  I hope your fertilized embryos give you success.  The wait and the process can be so stressful and hope you have things to do to relax and keep your mind off it for the next few days.
@andreamm31 What a beautiful offer that was made to you and as everyone said I hope you do not need to use it and this cycle proves to be your successful one.  Has your cycle returned back as of yet?
@lrynwnab Wishing you lots of success for your next cycle.
@JamieH2000 How are you doing and feeling these days?  Hope the symptoms have started to subside a bit for you.
@Kp214 Hope this medication works well for you.
@laurad75 So close now :) very exciting!

    AFM
Day by day things have been getting a bit better. I am lucky enough to have been able to take extended leave and it has helped me just relax, read, go for long walks and listen to lots of true crime podcasts. I am trying to keep a bit of routine and schedule but if I don't that is okay.  Been talking with a therapist and that has helped me as well.  Cant believe its been 6 weeks already, at times feels like the loss was just yesterday other times it feels so long ago.  I did some bloodwork yesterday and have a trace amount of HCG, waiting to see if the clinic wants me to start Provera.  After my cycle returns then I will have to have a hysteroscopy to make sure everything is okay and we can start as early as the next cycle for a transfer.  Not sure if I will be emotionally ready for that but I want to have everything in order in case I do.  Always thinking of you ladies!

@mbradfo2 that is so amazing!  I agree, people like that are a special breed.  I was telling a friend at work that someone offered and I told her I didnt want to share her identity, but she immediately guessed the right person....she said she thought of the person who is an angel on the unit and would offer something so selfless.

@JamieH2000 yes! So selfless.  It really helps me move forward with a plan and not feel as stressed.  Of course my best friend who has thyroid cancer, and had an HCG done prior to them instilling a radioactive isotope and she randomly, against all odds, is pregannt and I am so freaking excited.  It makes me want this to work even more so we can be pregnant together.

@lmajin99 my period is not back yet.  But my HCG was 10 on Tuesday so I can only think it will be coming any day now.  Its taking forever.  But because my 40th birthday is next weekend and we are going camping the weekend after, Im kinda ok with it taking a lil longer to get here so I don't have to do PIO while camping in a tent.  But I would do it if I had to.  I cant believe its been 6 weeks for you. Im so happy you were able to take this time to grieve and heal.  I think also going into the next cycle will help you to feel hope and help with your grieving process.  Always thinking of you and praying for you.

@brwneydgrl82 My situation was quite similar to yours, except my few eggs I had never fertilized.  I hope you get those 2 magical embryos with this last retrieval. Sending so much good juju your way.

@laurad75 gahhhhhhh, I cant believe how close you are!! So exciting!   And hearing that it took you 4 transfers really helps me to feel like this is my time now!  Thank you for sharing!  You are so sweet.

@Hopeful_mom a lifetime movie....hahaha I feel like Im on an episode of PUNKED!  hahahaha. But hopefully it all works out without having to use her.

@Kp214 im so happy you got the meds ordered. Hopefully this will help!

Hi ladies, I've been away from the board for a little bit and trying - not always successfully - to give myself a break from ivf thoughts. I'm catching up on everyone!

@andreamm31 I am blown away by your colleague's generous offer. What a kind soul. I'm so glad you have this option in your back pocket.

@Imajin99 Day by day is right. True crime podcasts? Any particularly good ones?

@kp214 Hope your prescription gives you some relief!

@laurad75 you're so close! Sending you good thoughts in your final weeks!

@brwneydgrl82 Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. You're among friends. FX for a good update from embryology!

    AFM:
Last time I updated here, we had the surprisingly great result of four embryos from my second egg retrieval. Unfortunately, two of those were aneuploid, one was mosaic and one was euploid. I was hoping for more "normals" but I am so so so happy and grateful we have one "normal" and one mosaic. When we started this process, my RE gave us a pretty dire outlook, so it has been so heartening to see success in this second round.

I'm at the start of another stim cycle with hopes of banking another embryo or two. So far I have more follicles than I have ever had (10!) but taking it day by day. Trying to keep expectations in check (but it's not working!)

Hey ladies, sorry I’ve not been active lately! Still checking in on everyone though!
    love to all!

@Imajin99 I’m so happy to hear you are doing better little by little and we’re able to take some time off.  Nothing more healing for a murderino than a bunch of true crime podcasts.  I never would have survived infertility without them!!!

@andreamm31incredible update lady.  So glad you have a real life angel on your side waiting to help if needed!!!
happy 40th:). I still can’t believe mine was this January....so crazy.

@JamieH2000 so thrilled all is going well!!!!

I’m still reading through the thread trying to play catch-up with everyone else, but rooting everyone on as usual!!!!!

    All the trigger warnings
I celebrated my girls 1st birthday last week....I just don’t know where the time goes.  One of my besties recently got horribly terrible news after a follow up scan following her anatomy scan  (they said they just needed to have her come back for one more image which she did at 21 weeks which started the downward spiral and called for a fetal MRI which she got done around 22 weeks which lead to a battery of other specialist appointments etc....) and I have been trying to support her as best I can throughout the process and I really fell off following along here and I’m sorry for that.  It’s so hard to watch the ones you love being in so much pain.  I’m also her husbands best friend (we lived next door in college and have been super close ever since so technically I knew him first) so it’s like double duty and double heartache.

    Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease

    2 iui's to start - BFN
    IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5!    2 5AA 1 6BB  PGS results =  all abnormal :(
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty.  Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled -  looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!!  1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
    Chemical pregnancy
    FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2????   Miscarriage at 8 weeks.  viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal :(

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
    1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
    2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

@hopefuljj Ah a fellow murderino! I love it :)  Happy birthday to your little one! I loved all the pics you had shared.  Sorry things have been a bit hectic for you and really sorry to hear the news that your friend received, as having gone through similar circumstances it is so difficult and both of them are lucky to have good friends like yourself to support them through it.

@tangerine32 How is the cycle coming along? Did you have any scans yet on the number of follicles?  Really hoping it is going well.  I can recommend a few podcasts that I love - RedHanded, Morbid, Crime Junkie - great ladies - more serious in-depth look at the crimes.  My favorite murder - review of a murder with lots of funny dialogue between the hosts (not about the actual murders).  Also, really enjoy True Crime Garage.

@hopefuljj wow - I'm so sorry your friends are going through this but so greatful they have you in their corner. (and how did a year go by so quickly, right!!  Its crazy!!)

@lmajin99 so glad you are able to take this important time for yourself and heal.  Its hard waiting on your body to get back to the starting point and ready to go...and then once it is knowing if you're ready emotionally.  I can't say I was ever  "ready" but time was never on my side and I just went with if my body was ready, I looked at it as if it was my sign that I'm ready to go go go.  Did I second guess myself all the time, yes, but it worked for me to let my body physically take the lead.

@Kp214 Hope you're feeling ok!  Are the meds helping?  June is around the corner so when are you starting back up?

@brwneydgrl82 welcome, sorry you find yourself here, but this is a great bunch that can help you through the process.  Not sure if I missed an update but sending all good juju your way.  After my loss I went through many cycles to bank embryos and not every cycle was successful either...but glad I went through them to have prior to my transfer.  Hang in there.

tangerine32 hey 10 is a great!  Sending extra miracle grow your way, here's to a great cycle!!

andreamm31 ha ha punked!  So many days I stop and look around seriously thinking that has to be the situation for me!!  BUT no your a lifetime movie, with your happy ending :)  Did your HCG go down?  Hows ladypotter doing?

@mbradfo2 @JamieH2000 how are you gals feeling?

    @laurad75 thinking of you

@BusinessWife are you starting up soon?

    AFM:
My cycle popped up on me sooner then I thought and after some back and forth with my clinic and stressing me out on whether I was actually going to be able to start or have to wait again....I got the green light, yay!!  I've been concerned that my cycle this month has just been strange in terms of flow and of course I get concerned somethings not right but so far they say all is good.  I keep going with if my body is on track then I keep going for it.  I'm going back and trying a medicated FET for this next transfer and I really forgot the protocol, its very strange.  You think you're always going to remember everything but I have to say after some time I see I'm mixing things up.  So much so I either forget to take my estrace altogether or I've taken it at the wrong time, and I might add thats with setting a reminder alarm.  I dont know, I guess I keep get side tracked all the time.  I go back next week for more montoring so hopefully it'll still be ok and on track.  Last time I did a medicated my E2 took much longer to rise so I'm at least prepared that if its not where it needs to be things can still turn out ok!

@Hopeful_mom Glad to hear you're cleared to go!  I think there is a certain margin of wiggle room, I wouldn't worry too awfully much right now. <3 FX things go well next week... AFM, yes, we transferred!  I won't say when, but basically we are in testing / beta limbo.  Currently enjoying the PASP bubble bliss.... hoping not to burst it

@tangerine32 10 is amazing!! Holy cow!  Praying you get a few more embabies to bank!

@hopefuljj I am so sorry to hear about your friends struggles.  Im sure you are a very comforting shoulder to cry on and a great support system.  happy Bday to your little one!

@Hopeful_mom   Im so happy you got the green light!! That is so exciting.  Maybe we will be close together in our transfer times (if I transfer).  I hear you about worrying about flow.  I got my period Tuesday and it was so light for me...but I guess that's what happens when they scrape your lining away in a D&C.  We deserve this girl, it is our time!

@BusinessWife  AHHHHH, yay!!!! Sending you so much happy thoughts and good juju your way!  Cant wait to hear your update when you are ready to share!!

AFM:  Got my period Tuesday and had my baseline on Friday and of course, there had to be something!  A big ol ovarian cyst! It was massive! She said its likely from my corpus luteum when I ovulated after the D&C.  She is always so calm when she does my scans even when its something bad, so its hard reading if this is really a big concern or not.  I mean, my embryos are going in my uterus...why would a ovarian cyst complicate that?  She said our hopes is it will decrease in size and not get any bigger....if it does, we will talk then.  ughhhhh I hate that answer.  Anyone know anything about these any what it means?  My acupuncturist is having me do castor oil packs and Moxa sticks over my abdomen so Im hoping that helps.  Well, Ive been doing those anyways for a few weeks, but I hope it starts to shrink.  I really really really want to transfer this cycle.  So many of my friends are preggo around me and I really want to join them.
My 40th birthday is Monday  and we are doing a staycation this weekend.  Im really looking forward to it! Also, I dont know if I told you guys, in my toxin free lifestyle, I decided with this pandemic to stop dyeing my hair. I went gray starting at 18.  So I have had a grombre situation going on with my brown hair and I just cut off like all my hair! I have a bob cut now and its so cute and the gray pattern is so cute!  No more two toned hair with a crazy demarcation line.  Ive never had hair shorter than my shoulders!  Its so freeing!  I only have a few inches left in the front and the sides and then I will be completely dye free!  I will share pics in box below!

@andreamm31  I love your hair!  It looks awesome!  I am so excited for you, I do hope you get to transfer soon.  The main thing though is that they work with your body at the right time.  A lot of times these things really do turn into nothing, which is great, so try not to let it psych you out too much. ;)

@BusinessWife thanks girl.   I think you are right.  I can imagine it would really mess things up if I was going for a retrieval...but hopefully it shrinks and doesn't cause an issue

@andreamm31 omg how cute are you!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  Hope you enjoyed celebrating and relaxing all weekend long! That hair, You are brave!  Your haircut looks great on you!  I'm laughing as I'm not as brave as you and I just box colored my hair this weekend, I was scaring myself and felt like I'm far enough from transfer it shouldn't make a difference...hopefully.  It really looks lovely!  I had so many knots, I was ready to cut it all off myselfthis weekend!  Sorry about the cyst its so frustrating we always have to worry from scan to scan...hoping it just shirnks and doesn't cause any delays!!  Many moons ago when doing an IUI I was benched with a cyst not even given an opportunity for a wait and see...so i'm hopeful for you!

@BusinessWife ahhhh you sneaky lil bug!  Gd bless I don't know how you're doing it, can't wait to hear more!  Sending all good vibes and extra sticjy dust your way!  Enjoy the bliss!

AFM: I have alarms on my phone to remind me to take my Estrace and yet I never take them on time and even left the house without a dose...oh what fun that phone call was to my clinic.  We'll see what happens tomorrow when I go for my next check up!

<div class=" Spoiler">I just had a really good feeling at 3dp5dt, so I tested and didn't think too much of it.  (I still had trigger.)  But my test the next day was obviously darker, I started to cry lol Lines have been getting darker from there, and even got a digi!  So the nurse was kind enough to move up my betas to Tuesday / Thursday so we won't have to wait too long to confirm that things are moving in the right direction! :D  Eep!!!</div>
GL tomorrow, lady. I'll be thinking of you! <3  You'll be fine with the hair dye, too.  Please don't worry! ;)

Thanks for saying so! @JamieH2000 That is actually really encouraging to hear!  I got my digi on Sunday too, which would be 25 ish, so then if I got 50 ish two days later, I figure that's some pretty good doubling, right!??  FL sounds awesome right about now.  I'm glad you had a nice trip!  We love long car rides around here, we might just have to do that one if we can swing it before too long ;)

I love true crime docs and podcasts! If you haven't, check out Serial Season 1 (there are other seasons but this is the REASON why they got the go ahead for other seasons -- it's absolutely riveting). I am actually currently watching a doc about the Hart family murders -- which got me from the very beginning because the day of the Hart crash was the day DD was born. I'm so hopeful for you going forward but I know this is impossibly difficult. Sometimes all we can do is to keep moving and just do the next thing and then the next and the next.

    @hopefuljj
Happy birthday to your little one!! Time just seems to fly with kids. DD had her first swimming lessons yesterday and I was just sitting in the parents' area, watching her swim class (group class) and seeing her laugh with the other kids and splash them (and get splashed). It felt so surreal -- like where did all of this time go? When did she grow up so much?

    @JamieH2000
As someone who lives on the east coast of Florida, I don't quite get the appeal of the panhandle!! Nothing bad, just place that doesn't appeal to me. I'm glad you had a good vacay! The thing about living on the coast is I only rarely go to the beach! I went more in college but since then, maybe once or twice a month. Our vacation is next month but mainly consists of driving up to pennsylvania and visiting family for a week. Since my husband is taking 2 weeks off, I was thinking of going down into the keys for a little get-away the second week.

    AFM
I am trying to get up to speed on everything! I've just been so so tired the past couple weeks! It doesn't help that DD always interrupts me when I am typing something and I forget what I was doing after I help her with whatever. Summer camp starts next week so I'm hoping to have some more downtime.

@mbradfo2- the appeal of The panhandle for us is that it’s the closest ocean to WI, has super white fine sand and that clear aqua water. Perhaps the sand and water is just as nice on the east coast of FL? I didn’t think it was, but maybe I’m wrong. I’m probably imagining it like the Carolina beaches...

If you are mostly going to the beach, I agree the panhandle is the winner there! Yeah, the water's lovely and it tends to be less crowded. When I go to the beach, usually every single parking spot is taken and it's packed with locals and tourists. Then I end up having to park in the pay lot a block or two down and lug all of the beach stuff. When I was in high school, my parents had a little vacation house literally across the street from the beach and it was an area that was far enough from the main downtown so it was usually quiet. It was perfect. But then they decided to move to a bigger place downtown when they moved here when I was in college (I grew up and went to school in PA).
