Just don't do it, you'll only disappoint yourself. I've said this before, but if you have to shine a light behind it, crack the test open, or tweak it in Photoshop, it's not positive. Seriously, just avoid the headache and don't do it.
Then don't wait a week. Even a day or two can make a difference. Tweaking tests just makes a person looks desperate. If you can't see a BFP on a HPT with out tweaking it, means that it is a negative.
At a year of TTC, you don't need to tweak a test but a RE.
Why would anyone want the disappointment that comes after tweaking a test? After the disappointment I've had this year, I'll just wait for the real thing followed up by blood work with my doctor.
No I wouldn't want to be more paranoid than I already am.. But if you want to be more prepared by taking vitamins you can always take them before you conceive
I can tweak my bank account and make it look like there are addtional zeros, but it doesn't mean it is really there.

1) Pregnancy Test Checker is a free app that does this. You can upload a video on your phone & filter/black light away.
2) If you have to tweak an HPT then it's not really a positive, IMHO. You should be able to see a BFP clear as day to call it.
3) We don't do random HPT readings or tweakings as a general rule. We have enough clueless randoms, who can't seem to read the instructions, waiving pee sticks in our faces.
Countdowntopregnancy.com Will let you upload the test and have others vote on it. We don't do that here.
Just cause you can photoshop or "tweak" something doesn't make it real.
THIS IS FUNNY. We need more of these.
