My water broke at 3:30am and we drove straight to the hospital. I went 11 hours without pain meds until I was about 7 or 8 cm, then I got the epidural. Slept for a couple of hours and was ready to go. My OB noticed that I had a septum that wasn't easily seen with regular checks and would have to cut it so the baby wouldn't get stuck and that that was the reason it took so long for me to reach 10. Once it was out of the way, and 15 minutes of pushing, he was here. He is so cute and I can't wait to take him home!

Memphis Dean EDD 11/7 DOB 11/15 8 lbs 12 oz 19 1/2 in
Well ladies I got a interesting story to tell. I had contractions all day Saturday not consistent and not too painful. Around 9 pm the started getting worse. At 10:30 they where definitely bad. They where still 5-9 some even 14 min apart. 11:30 they finally picked up and where 3-6 min apart. Called my mom to come over for the girls. We headed out the door since I live an hr away. Well they get really bad. DH is speeding now. Water breaks and he is right there. Well right then we see a cop and know he going to pull us over so DH pulls over. We say I am having this baby now. He try to get DH'S info asking if we want an Ambulance well we says yes. I feel in my pants and he is crowning. This baby doesn't have time for them to get there. DH says to cop either you are going to deliver or I am. He says no. So DH to the rescue. After a few pushes he is out. Luckily after just some back. rubbing he is crying. Then the ambulance pulls up. My DH is mine and LOs hero. He was calm well acted calm and got us through it and safe. I am thanking god no complications. So he is a rebel and never gave consistent contractions. He also thought the birth canal was a slip and slide too.
Induction began at 5:30am and began uneventfully but over the course of 2 days became an amazing undertaking. Once I dilated to 5cm I opted for an epidural. I didnt respond well to the medication and tanked ending up on oxygen and dont remember much of what happened for a while. Poor baby went into distress but not enough to warrent an emergency c section as my body would not have handled it. We were able to avoid a c section by withholding further use of an epidural. (So much for the pain free delivery!)
My water broke on Monday night -- went to L&D at 1am where they induced me. By 6:30am I asked for an epidural. At 10am little Joshua was born -- less than 30 minutes of pushing. He is tiny, but perfect
My water broke on Sunday morning and 28 hours later (3 1/2 hours of pushing) our little man arrived. We are totally in love with our Cal pal and can't believe he'll already be a week old tomorrow!!!
I started having contractions the evening of November 7, and woke at 4:30 am November 8 as my water broke. Contractions were 2.5 mins apart and 30 seconds each, and by noon were 5 mins apart but 1-1.5 mins long, consistently. Went to L&D, was told I was 0 cm dilated (had previously been told I was 2 cm??). All of the rooms were full, but I could be admitted in a triage room or go home until contractions were longer/stronger on their own, or return the next morning to be induced since my water had broken.
Contractions grew stronger and closer all night, and we went back at 6:30 the next morning when they were 2.5 mins apart but 1 min long. Still 0 cm dilated. Hooked up to Pitocin at 7, had to stay in the bed which threw ALL of my unmedicated labour strategies out the window but I still managed. Checked at 10 am, 3 cm dilated. The doctor said he would check in again in the afternoon to see how I was progressing.
11 am, feeling tons of pressure but still not allowed to leave the bed. Nurse told me I was still in the early stages of labour, and still had a long way to go. Caved and said I would need the epidural, the pressure was too much for me to bear while laying on my back in bed. Anesthesiologist came in shortly after 11, placed the epidural, administered the test dose, and I sprung up on my knees saying I couldn't stand the pressure. Poor nurse and anesthesiologist looked like they were ready to have a heart attack.
Nurse checked me, I was 10 cm dilated, fully effaced, and baby was on her way out. 6 pushes (I felt everything, and was able to ease off when I felt a tear starting), and my daughter was here at 11:29! The doctor was called and came in just in time to deliver her.
Such a crazy fast delivery, and not what I planned at all . . . but still so perfect and I am so happy! Baby was placed on my chest, delayed cord clamping, crept her way over and latched on her own, after waiting for so long I feel like I lucked out with a wonderful delivery
Baby Esmae was born 11/11 @4:46pm (39w5d) 7lbs 12oz 20.5" long
She's the best! Although she came down with a fever our first night home which landed us 2 nights in the NICU, she is doing wonderful and should get to come home tomorrow morning.
Arlo Brayden EDD: November 26th DOB: November 15th
I woke up at 5am with back pain, waited it out until the first contraction at 7am, tried to labor at home for as long as I could and ended up going to L&D around 10:30am. I was already dilated 4cm and had supreme back labor. After two rounds of morphine, and an epidural I gave birth to Arlo at 5:12pm. He weighed 6lb 6.6oz. He had some issues breathing when he was first born and they thought he was going to have to spend a few hours in NICU, but he managed to pull through beautifully and we were able to keep him with us. He's already latched on and fed amazingly (I was nervous due to inverted nipples, but he is having no issues) and so far he is the most relaxed baby in the maternity ward. We are so so so in love with him.
I started having what felt like contractions around 9pm, by 1048 pm thought my water had broke, and the contractions were intensifying. Spent an hour and a half in triage being monitored. They admitted me due to a slow leak in my amniotic fluid. As well as elevated blood pressure. I got my forebag broken at around 5am or so, a pitocin drip and an epidural shortly there after. At around 10am I was told it was time to push! By 1035am she was here! All 7lbs 14oz 19.5inches of her! She is the most beautiful little girl and I am so overwhelmed with love for her! Happy birthday sweet angel I love you!
Brailynn Lou EDD: 11/13 Birthday: 11/9 6lb 9oz 19.5 in long Planned c-section due to elevated cord dopplers and possible short cord
Ended going to to labor that morning so little miss was going to arrive no matter what lol I cried a few times do to being scared and nervous. This was my first c-section I went vaginally with my son. Hubby and nursing staff were incredible at telling I was fine, which I knew I was but it was still scary for me lol her cord was only 12 in. long and wrapped around her neck. So thankful my ob office found this and recommended the c-section for safty. Little brother is adjusting as well as a 2 year old can lol
Cora Christine EDD: November 21 DOB: November 15 (exactly 1 day after her big sister turned 2 years old! Team green to team pink!
5 lbs 12 oz and 50 cm. She's a little peanut and was a successful VBac. Still in the hospital due to her heartrate being lower than they want and because she is small for her gestational age. Breastfeeding is getting better!
I went into labor late Saturday afternoon, a week after my expected due date. Sunday afternoon my life became...more than I ever, ever thought it could be. Pictures to follow.
Wolf David H___ EDD 11/4 Born Friday The Thirteenth. 8lb 5oz, 20.5in long Scheduled induction due to being post-dates. Went in Thursday evening to begin cervical ripening but was having regular contractions accorsing to the monitors so they delayed starting a balloon catheter. Contractions stopped overnight so started Pitocin just before 6am. My water broke at 9:35am and contractions suddenly became excruciating. Begged for an epidural as I was feeling everything.in my lower back but was too late for any pain relief. Felt the urge to push very quickly, took a couple of tries to figure out how to push but maybe 4 pushes later at 10:15am my little dude was on my chest (after peeing on the OB...which I consider karma for him being an ass to me a few weeks back). We came home Sunday afternoon, my mums flight from the UK landed a couple of hours later, and life is good.
Name: Samuel
Sex: boy
EDD: 11/24/15
Born: 11/16/15 via c section
My water broke at 12 am on the 15th, it was a massive break and filled with blood. Terrified we got to the hospital asap. I was not dial aged at all and so they used a cervical ripening agent for 10 hours and then tried to induce using pitocin. After 32 failed hours of induction, which included lots of stress for mom, d cells from baby, and an amino infusion for when there was no longer enough fluid in the placenta, an emergency c section was performed, and the cord was discovered wrapped around his neck. The c section was performed and our son safely joined us in the world!
He's having a tiny bit of trouble transitioning with his blood sugar and some hitters, but otherwise is doing well so far. I am just so thankful to God our son is here and safe. Good luck to all the other Nov. birth moms here!
Connor Wyatt was born at 1:17 am, 11/17. 7lb 7 oz, 19 inches long. My water broke early yesterday afternoon, they gave me Pitocin to move things along, and I wound up delivering pain medication free! Not necessarily because I wanted to, but because I went from 6cm to 10cm in a matter of 20 minutes! Daddy and I are so in love with this little man.
Was approaching 41 weeks on nov 14, went to final appointment (40w4d) and requested an induction because I was just over being uncomfortable and wanted my baby girl here. They scheduled me for an induction starting with cytotec Thursday evening, went in and found out my contractions were too regular to administer it. So we did a foley bulb (absolute horror for me - extremely painful) and it didn't work because my body literally tightened up all around from the pain. So hours later they administered pitocin and took out the foley bulb, i got an epidural on Friday evening (6cm) and woke up Saturday morning at 10cm and delivered our baby girl by 12:16pm. It was 3 days of trying to get her here but it was worth it. Best news of all???? She was 10 lb 3 oz and 21 and 3/4" long - and my 3 midwives all guessed a "long" 7.5 lb. baby. I am so glad I listened to my body and said no to 42 weeks, she would've been even bigger! She is healthy as can be and we are so in love. Introducing Eleanor "Ellie" Rae Black.
After 33 hrs of labor, 3 hours of pushing with him ending up suck in my pelvis, he was born via c section. I had so many complications with meds and pain management, I spent the majority of the next two days vomiting uncontrollably. Finally, we got it under control and were able to come home and have a perfect little man.
Chloe Kennedy James EDD 11/3/15 DOB 11/15/15 Big little lady! 9lbs, 3oz 22in long
So labor was a long 2 day process. My doctor decided to induce me Saturday morning 11/14 due to high levels of amniotic fluid, my PUPPS rash was still bothering me and because I had already dilated up to 3 cm. When we arrived at the hospital at 7:30am, our midwife advised that because I still had a pretty thick cervix and the baby was sitting high that she didn't think the baby would come until later that night. I was given Cytotec to get things started and my contractions didn't begin until right before 10am. I had a cervical check around 1pm and the doctor said my cervix was like a whole different one, it got super soft and I was about 5 cm dilated at that point. So then I began receiving pitocin in small doses to help get things going. We sat for several hours as my contractions increasingly got stronger. They were about 6 mins apart when I finally asked for an epidural and at that point the doctor denied it because they lost the baby's heartbeat.
At that moment, my heart dropped. My doctor, 4 nurses, my midwife and another L&D staff member entered my room as they were trying to determine why the baby kept moving so much which made it difficult to monitor her heart. Apparently my high fluid levels made it hard for her to sit still. After trying to get a good steady reading for about another hour, the doctor was over it and manually broke my water. She opted to put a monitor on the baby's head but the first few times were unsuccessful so I was extremely sore an uncomfortable at this point. They finally got the monitor to stick to baby girl's head and waited another hour to verify her breathing was in fact correct. Finally at that point they gave me an epidural and it really made the rest of my night so much better.
So we went into the night taking more and more pitocin and dilating a bit more with every check. In the middle of the night, one of my nurses came running in and told me I was starting to catch a fever so I took some Tylenol to try to prevent it from getting worst. Somehow, about 20 mins after that I got sick and threw up so the entire delivery process was really discouraging to me at that time. Anyway, I eventually got a bit of sleep until the next Morning rolled around and was notified that I was 8 cm dilated and that we would try to kick things up to get the baby out soon. We increased the meds and began preparing for vaginal delivery. I began pushing at around 9:30am but there were complications with them losing her heartbeat again and they weren't sure if the dips in her heartbeat they kept seeing after my pushes was accurate or not. We postponed pushing to allow me to rest a bit and after that I rotated into every possible position to get this baby out. We pushed for 2 hours but she would not budge. They didn't know if it was because of her size or the position she was in so my doctors strongly encouraged an emergency c section. So we went in and about an hour later we were done! She's finally here and healthy and already has daddy wrapped around her fingers
We couldn't be more in love with our little princess and can't wait to finally get home!
ETA she is a breastfeeding champ and I love sharing those moments with her throughout the day.
Molly sienna Louise EDD 19/11 Date of delivery 14/11 23.48pm 6lb 12
50 hours of slow labour - 2 trips to hospital both resulting in coming home as was only 1cm dilated. Had a bath the Friday night after contracting all day- waters went in the bath, pains then progressed rapidly so went back to hospital and was 3 cm dilated. They kept me in as I needed pain relief I couldn't handle the pain, I then sat and waited, got to 5cm. Got the birthing pool which was great but still not much major progress. Had to have it speeded up as baby needed to be out as waters had gone night before. They speeded up and got to 10cm however pushing, forceps, suction cup where to no avail and had to have emergency c section. I was heartbroke but as long as me and baby were ok it had to be done. My pelvis just wouldn't allow the baby to come out and further pregnancies I have will have to be delivered by c section as well.
Disappointed as I did all the hard work but couldn't deliver naturally but she's here and healthy and the main thing!
Woke up at 3:30 due to a terrible storm outside and started having contractions immediately. By 8, I couldn't take it anymore so we came to the hospital. Was checked and measured at 5cm and 100% effaced. Was in the triage room for 2/3 hours due to the only room they had not being clean so waited for an epidural the whole time. My contractions were so terrible to where I was pretty much screaming bloody murder. Got checked again before my epi and was at 7/8. 15 mins after, I was already at a 10. They waited for me to have pressure to push, never felt it. Had to be instructed on when I needed to. And after 13 mins, only a couple pushes and 3 contractions later, he was born at 4:21. He's 7.8 pounds and 19.25 inches long. His daddy surprised me and actually helped with delivery by holding my leg and watched the entire thing and cut the cord (: We're so in love.
At my post DD appointment, the biophysical noted low amniotic levels so my OB wanted to induce that day. Luckily my cervix was favorable (2.5cm, 80% effaced) so I only needed Pitocin. They started Pitocin at 1pm and it took me 8 hours to get to 4cm at which point I got the epidural as contractions were 2-3 minute apart and really hurting. 2 hours after the epidural I really thought it hadn't worked as I was feeling the contractions. The nurse came in and before getting my levels adjusted had the doctor check me and sure enough I was fully dilated and ready to push! 6cm in 2 hours - no wonder I was breaking through! I pushed for about 30-40 minutes and out she came. We are so happy and in love. Big brother got to visit this morning and learned to say "sister".
Dorian Alexander Nicholls Roberts, 9lb 9oz born 15/11/15 after a long and stressful labour!! I was blown away with what an amazing support my partner was and could not have done it without him. Baby had to be born with forceps and a lot of drugs as I'm quite small and did know how big he would be. I was low risk so hadn't been scanned since 20 weeks. So in love, FTM and didn't know how much I would love having a baby, best feeling ever ❤️❤️❤️
Oliver Austin Birthday: 11/15/15 (his due date) 8:55 am 7 lbs 3 oz 19 inches Went in on Saturday for a scheduled induction due to insulin treated gestational diabetes. I had a Foley bulb placed around noon when I was 3 cm 60% effaced. My water broke at 6 and the Foley was removed around 11. I was about 6-7 cm around that time. Got the epidural around 3 am and was hoping to take a little nap, but this little guy's heartbeat dropped a few times. I was unable to nap and when I was checked during one of the decelerations, we found out I was complete! I let my body labor for a few hours and then started pushing around 7:30. After only an hour and a half of pushing, Ollie entered the world. He was very quiet and wonderfully healthy even though we had meconium in utero. I love my little man so much. I can't believe that I get to spend every day with him.
James David 11/8/15 at 10:08pm EDD 10/29/15 10lbs 12oz 22 in
After 40 hours of intense back labor and an hour and a half pushing my not so little man arrived! I couldn't believe it! I got an epidural at 1cm due to lack of sleep and intense painful contractions. There was talk of a c section but I finally dialated to 9cm. Epidural wore off and man could I feel everything! I was so exhausted and had trouble pushing so midwives brought over a bar with a sheet tied to it. I was able to use my legs and my arms to push. It was the most exhausting painful out of body experience I've ever had. My husband and sisters cheering by my side. All of a sudden his head emerged but his shoulders were stuck in my pelvis. All of a sudden nurses gathered and dr jumped on the bed pushing on my stomach. "40 seconds!" Was all I heard as doctor was trying to dislodge his shoulders. I heard his cry several minutes later..I was in shock. I had internal tearing so I had stitches. Its been a painful recovery but he is beautiful. Congrats to you all!

Edit b/c Pitocin is a drug.

Went in on Saturday for a scheduled induction due to insulin treated gestational diabetes.
