I've gained 15 pounds in my first trimester!!!!!

help I'm concerned because I have gained 15 pounds in my first trimester. I was loosing weight in the beginning (since I couldn't keep anything down) but now that I can eat again I've gained so much weight! Is anyone else having this problem?! Pre pregnancy my normal weight was 130 pounds and when I had the morning sickness I got down to 120... Now I'm 142 so I've really gained a total of 22 pounds since getting sick...

I would speak with your health care provider if this is of major concern for you.  You may very well level out in the 2nd trimester, too.  There's a good thread going right now about this:

To answer your question, no I'm not having that problem but I'm sure lots of others are. While weight gain varies tremendously with each person and pregnancy, it's important to take a look at your lifestyle habits. Are you eating junk food constantly? Are you "eating for two" when you only need an additional 300 calories a day? Are you exercising regularly? If you're making healthy choices and exercising, then don't worry about the weight gain. You body is simply doing what it needs to. If you're not making healthy choices, then it's time to make a change before things get more out of control. If you're eating trash all day or eating excessive amounts of food, stop. If you're not exercising, now is the perfect time to ease yourself into a good exercise routine. Hope that helps!
