@smushi
I understand the no apposite thing. It's not quite as bad as being full on sick but it is very annoying and no fun....especially when you love to eat usually.
He is a funeral director. Tonight he is on call for the removal staff which are the people that pick up bodies from hospitals/homes. I don't know how he does it. He is so good with the families.
Eeeep. I was thinking something like EMS. More power to the people who have those kinds of jobs though.
@ecwk yes, it's lovely! But I only make giant Viking babies and my uterus has been around the block a time or two. I found I felt him at first mostly when I was laying on my side (in the fetal position) in a quiet room, relaxing. At first it felt like little butterfly wings flapping. Then like a little fish swimming around. Now I feel him when I eat...he's happiest when I'm eating. Takes after me.
@smushi I am good if I don't have to prep the food, but when I have to plan to grocery shop or cook I find myself totally repulsed by it. I just want to eat out all the time because of it. Bleh.
@smushi I feel for you. I'm still fighting ms and force every bite. I dream (literally) of eating the way I usually would. I love food, but I can't stand it now
I totally chose the all-natural beef burger. And holy crap worth every penny of that $21!!! Good thing work is paying! The lady I ordered from had my laughing hard when she described every topping and told me I better not leave anything off. This burger is worth a few more trips up and down the hills. I told her I was pregnant and baby really wanted a burger. Lawd she had a good ol' time with that! (that's exactly how she talked too - wish I could meet this lady, she's hilarious!)
Thanks guys bc of little sick bub we had a completely layabout day and I pretty much just got up to change a diaper or pee or fetch snacks and water for littles, so no spotting today. But skipping babycafe tomorrow, so I prob won't go for a check either bc of my wee croupy guy. Still though, feeling better about it since there was no more spotting. Husband brought home a cool mist humidifier, and I gave the baby a dose of his prednisone for the coughing/inflammation and some ibuprofen for his fever, so hoping for a better night.

@lightrox sorry for the UTI! With my first two babies I had one that wouldn't go away (I was on abx for half my first pregnancy). With the third I started taking a probiotic when I felt my usual pregnancy UTI coming on, and it went away and stayed gone. Maybe you could find a good one to help fight it.

@cmerribury ikwym! If I have to make whatever the meal is, I'm pretty much guaranteed that I'll be just eating cereal or something, bc smelling it/touching it during the prep completely makes me lose my appetite for whatever it is!

@lightrox my miracle cure that really got rid of it was juicing frozen cranberries and green apples - like get at least 16oz of juice worth and just chug it (you'll need to because there is no sweetness whatsoever). Do 3 of these a day for 2 days. It killed that infection dead!!

I'm allergic to apples but maybe I can use strawberries or blueberries instead. I will try anything right now. I'm hoping this new antibiotic will work soon.

I think the apples are for sweetness so that should work. Good luck!

How on earth do SO MANY PEOPLE already have all of their baby names picked?!?! DH and I have agreed on a boys name which was a default because it's a family one on both sides d: I feel like I'm behind schedule here!

we won't have a name until the birth cert lady starts freaking out that she doesn't have the papers and they are discharging us LMAO (i know that you don't *have* to have the baby named before leaving the hospital, but that is the point where we are like "ok, we have got to name this baby *now*" haha

@2goofykids with our first DH and i couldn't agree on a name. Our DD didn't get named until the records lady came back to the room twice and finally said "uh your kid has to have a name now!" We do actually have names picked out this time around.

Things are a lot quieter here at work today Thank God for that! I have stuff to keep me busy for awhile, but not so much being thrown on me at once to where I feel like breaking down.

@lightrox go to the store and buy a bottle of organic, UNSWEETENED cranberry juice. It will be super tart and not very pleasant to drink, but try to drink a glass a couple times a day. Last time I diluted it with water and chugged it. It works wonders.

We have had our girls name since DS so that was a no brainer. I have a boy name I really like but he hasn't agree nor vetoed it. We find out in two weeks so if its a boy we will probably start seriously talking about names then.
I feel like with my first, I'd had years to think of baby names. I had a miscarriage before her, so had been thinking about names already. By the time we found out she was a girl, we had her name.
But now, this is my third kid and we've used our 2 favorite names and more of our friends have had babies and taken names I like, and I'm just so out of ideas. Haha. Glad I'm not alone!

We've had our boys name since I had an ectopic 2+ years ago (also both family names), but nothing for a girl has been quite as easy. DH and I have agreed on a few but even then they are just okay. He likes "Mae" for a MN and I said that's find. Then we talked about Eleanor NN Ellie and I realized she would be Ellie Mae à la Beverly Hillbillies so that got vetoed immediately. Back to the drawing board...
OMG 3D ultrasounds are creepy, I'm going to have to close my eyes until the u/s thread gets to the next page. ugh. Sorry I'm sure your child will come out cute, but right now nope.

In other news . . . this is why I can't shower while my 2 year old is awake . . .
She climbed on the counter, got stuck, shouted for me the whole time I was in the shower, then decided to help herself to the brownies that were sitting there. Oy . . .

So I am still working on copying this math book from yesterday. With each passing page I'm getting more pissed off- like why can't you order extra workbooks with your room budget? Gotta figure I'm getting paid on average $15 an hour (I'm salaried so don't know off the top of my head) to copy this book that I have been at for 4 hours now between yesterday and today. Now add in the cost of the paper- and you could order 3-4 workbooks for the cost of me making them from scratch.
So since this is the THIRD book she has had me do, I have maybe 12 more sections (at 4 pages each) to do. Then- I'm gonna feed the copies BACK THROUGH the machine feed, and make me my own book. So when next semester or next year rolls around and she wants this stupid book again, I don't have to copy it page by page I can just feed my copies through. It would take 10 minutes to feed the machine vs. the 4+ HOURS it has taken me so far to lift the lid, copy one page, flip the book, copy the next page, lift the book, turn the page, lay it down, copy the next page... for 400 PAGES!!!!!

Hmmm, did you guys read the whole thing? They said "it is worth the risk" when talking about the risk of getting pregnant by the flu shot. Sorry, but if, and I mean if, it were some how magically possible to become pregnant from any shot in the arm, then I would not let my daughter get the shot. Since when is it worth the risk of getting a 14 year old pregnant to avoid the chance of catching that particular strain of flu. Plus, wouldn't every woman trying to get pregnant be told to get the flu shot (although, what kind of genetics would that baby end up with). And top it off, if she started to get sick within days of getting the shot, it was probably ms and you don't usually get that within days of conception (wouldn't they be able to tell the difference in age from a sonogram?) Sorry just so much wrong there
