  • Jc Pennys has had a great sale going and I found tons of long, loose cute sweaters that will fit for several months from now. Just an FYI for y'all. Also, tons of leggings that are on sale.

I bought this one in 3 different colors-coral, teal and black. Its actually a bit longer on me than the pic shows and I have a long torso. Very comfy and loose!! I bought poka dot leggings to wear under them.

***Oh and if you put a thin belt just above the baby bump and it looks adorable!!!
  • The pottery barn rocker I want is on sale for 599.00 and I have a 20% off coupon. So tempting especially since it takes 8-10 weeks to get it.

  • @SparkE82 neither can I.  I don't have the body type for those or skinny jeans/pants in general.  I have to have my boot cut or wide leg!  I did get a pair of leggings to wear under my dresses for this winter (NNY gets VERY cold) but that's about the only time you will see me in them!

  • Guys! I made a list! Of everything I have to do in the next few weeks d:
October 12- 2nd appointment! And hopefully finding out the gender!
October 29- last day of work
November 1- leave for Disney! YAY!
November 8- start packing the house
    November 12ish- 3rd baby appointment!
    November 21- MOVING DAY!

I love lists. And spreadsheets. I can do this!
  • I had to buy some in an emergency and they actually didn't look too bad.  Not saying I'll wear them every day, but I could see it looking cute with a big sweater and a scarf for winter.

  • I also can't do leggings or skinny jeans. Thick legs :( they accentuate my man calves.

  • I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

One of my co-workers was just giggling at me, and apparently I'm already waddling. I thought I might be, but I don't walk by a mirror just to watch myself walk either.  My sciatica causes my left leg to stiffen up, so it makes me waddle.  Wtf... I thought I would have another month or two before I did the duck walk!

    :)) :((

  • I just bought my first pair of leggings the other day and they were/are magical.  I can see that no one would want to see my butt, but I'll definitely get some looks from DH wearing them around the house.  <3  and honestly they make me feel sexy and that is not a bad thing.
This is my husband's reaction when I wear yoga pants, especially when pregnant.  I just don't get it, but you know.

Only if I can complain about how much my crotch hurts too.  These aches and pains get worse every pregnancy.  SERIOUSLY!  Who are these women who love being pregnant?!?

  • Dang it.....my OB/GYN office just called. At the request of my family practioner, they ran some blood work for a thyroid test last week. Hypothyroidism runs in my family, and I have had some issues in the past (ultrasound, biopsy) but have always been able to resolve the imbalance with healthy diet and exercise.......well, not anymore. Apparently being pregnant has thrown my body out of whack and they want to put me on daily meds for it....

I know its not a big deal. My father had his removed and has taken daily meds most of his life. Its just annoying to have to take another pill everyday and now I will have to have blood drawn and a thyroid test ran at EVERY appointment. On the Brightside, it should help me not gain a TON more weight now that we have caught it. (I gained a LOT early on)

  • For work collections: the 2 places I worked at the longest only did collections if we were wanting catering from somewhere or someone lost a parent/child. I always wanted to chip in for this anyway. If it was a baby shower or wedding or something like that then we might send around a card for well wishes but that was all. It seems weird to expect money as a wedding gift or something similar if your not invited

Yup pregnancy can do crazy things to your thyroid.  My husband had half of his taken out for cancer and it took him forever to get his levels equaled out.  Hopefully they find your correct balance quickly so you don't feel like poop all the time.  Do you know what kind of meds they're putting you on?

They are putting me on Synthroid (sp??). I will pick it up after work at my pharmacy. I didn't ask what the doseage was as I was almost expecting it. Surprisingly, I don't feel icky like a lot of people do when they have thyroid issues, so I am guessing that my prescription will not be that high of a doseage.

My gums have been bleeding and I keep tasting it (I swear, I have good dental hygiene, I think it's normal, happened in my first pregnancy) maybe that's it?

Could be inside your nose.....nosebleeds are common during pregnancy (at least that is what I have been told). Maybe you have a very tiny one??

You might have a nose bleed this happens to me as the weather gets colder it's never bleeds out I tend to bleed back into my sinuses if it doesn't get better I would go to an ENT.

Interesting, I didn't even think about that!
  • Hi all!!! I've been dying to catch up since the iOS update, but the crashing was killing me...which I realize by now that's old news! Finally got through about 200 new comments...crazy weekend on tb I see...
@skruhmin - almost time for your king size bed again, and your kids are gorgeous!
@oceanchild that is so amazing for your friend!!!

You're all making me want donuts and Cheesecake Factory!

I agree about a food thread...I'm in AZ, Mexican-American food is my thing, had chorizo, eggs, potatoes, and cheese with flour tortillas and a glass of OJ this morning...dreading the heartburn, but oh so worth it!
I'm so jealous of the a/s appointments that are coming up! Mine is scheduled for 10/23, which seems like forever away!
  • Just made chicken salad for the first time. I had such a craving for it! But I (am ashamed to say that I) almost polished off an entire can of Pringles in the way home from the store. So couldn't eat much! I have my AS on October 16 when I'll be 18+3. I thought this was too early but I was told it's fine!

Mine is Oct 13 and I'll be 18+6.  Midwife said there should be no issues.  I had an emergency ultrasound with DS2 right at 18 weeks and he definitely was a boy - was even playing with it and everything.  But the tech still told us she was 98% sure, so there was that little bit of unsure.
