So I've been telling DH we need to replace the tile in our bathroom/kitchen. The lady put in some cheap crappy laminate stuff before she sold it and it's soooo slick. Well today he didn't get the shower door closed when he showerd and the mat got soaked. I didn't realize it until I got out of the shower (several hours later at that) and it slid completely out from underneath me. Luckily I managed to catch myself and didn't fall but boy was I not prepared to do the splits today. He's finally with the program now

Oy! Sounds like you're going to be sore!
And crap, Gatorade just came up. Sorry for the play by play.

Poor little guy. I hope he can get get better soon. Hannah is a great name and I love the puzzle. My MIL is making letters for the nursery that will spell her name. I really was looking forward to making them but she was so excited that I let her have full creative rights.
One of my biggest pet peeves is excessive use of exclamation points! It drives me absolutely crazy! Why do some people think ordinary statements need to be finished off with the vigor of one of these bad boys! Even questions!
DH brag...it's in the 80's here with no sign of cooling off. I was saying how I needed to shave my legs because I was too hot to wear pants but that I don't know if I can reach around the bump. He offered and then helped me shave. Love that guy

That's sooo MEE!! Haa haa! I'm sorry but I'm always pretty loud and it doesn't come across on type so I use exclamation marks.

It's really not though! I mean, I get that talking about pregnancy and all that jazz there are a LOT of reasons to be excited and use that punctuation, but the overuse to which I am referring is teenager/middle school-like. It really grinds my gears.
@flowerpower5838 Oh, I just think it about myself. I'll look back at a post and think, there's too many exclamations there. I'll promptly follow it up with the, "meh, oh well" thought process.
I overuse commas and ellipses. I mean, they are still grammatically correct (and comma usage is really a preference) but I try to shy away from excessive exclamations.
Totally weird that she thought she offended you. Also, totally weird that 58% seemed big to her...
I just had the *best* snack. Whole grain toast, 1/2 a mashed avocado, a runny-yolk fried egg, and parmigiano. YUM.
Haha. I tease my [39 year old] sister for her overuse of exclamation points all the time. She never uses any punctuation in her texts or emails other than exclamation points. But, that's kind of her personality, and it's endearing because I love her. The chick in the question thread was just kind of irritating . . .
Married 7.29.05 :: DD1 5.11.10 :: DD2 1.23.13 :: Baby Boy due 3.13.16!
Sorry in advance to be a little bit of a downer: I sent out Christmas cards a little while ago, and one of them was to a high school friend who I haven't seen since last spring, when we talked about how DH and I were going to start trying to get pregnant, and she and her husband were going to try for their second. Anyway, she's not on FB so I figured she might not know that I was pregnant so I told her about it in the Christmas card. She sent me the sweetest email reply to the card, saying how happy she was for me and how her sister just had twins and her other sister is due in April. Then she said that she and her husband were expecting a daughter around Christmas, but she had a stillbirth in September in her sixth month. She definitely wasn't telling me to make me feel bad for sharing my pregnancy news, but I still felt awful and also couldn't help but put myself in her shoes since I just finished my sixth month. I can't imagine how I would feel if that happened to me at this point. It certainly gave me a healthy dose of perspective, and made me so grateful for every ache, pain, and sleepless night. Hugs to us all and especially those who have experienced a loss, particularly a late term one. Here's to a healthy remainder for all of our pregnancies.
@skruhmin haha...fortunately i'm not in pain it's more of a very uncomfortable feeling...the other option is public transportation which takes longer and will frustrate me much more...;) So biking till the bitter end..;) (or till i can't get on my bike anymore)..
AW I just got word that my product I've been working on for years just got approval to be published as accessible (for users with disabilities). This has been a 3-year process to get to this point and is a major resume boost!

As for typing issues, I tend to use a lot of fun on sentences and keep them going forever!
As for personalized decor I want to get wooden letters for both dd and Spencer, and hang their names on their respective side of the bedroom.
AFM, I had all kinds of good news today! First I had my 3 hour glucose test, which my doctor had the results before I got upstairs for my appointment. I PASSED!!! I also had my ultrasound for follow-up on my placenta and cervical length- my length is good and MY PLACENTA MOVED! I can now have my vaginal delivery and not miss so much work! And most importantly- I can have SEX again! I made sure to ask the doctor if I'm off pelvic rest and he said yes with a smile on his face. Now I had been complaining about not sleeping well just before he told me the news. So when he said I was off pelvic rest I said "good! A good night of that will definitely help me sleep well!" And he laughed hysterically lol.
The office got me into my appointment am hour early so i was able to make it home and go out to dinner with a bunch of my ex-coworkers/good friends of mine. We had an excellent time
I just got home from all that, but with all my excitement today II'm still wound up even though I should be passed out in bed.
DH's promotion, all our good news today, a nice dinner, definite sex tomorrow night (dh had to work tonight lol)- Merry Christmas ME!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@skruhmin hope the litterbugs gets better fast and doesn't share those germs. Stomach bugs are the worst.
I survived the last day of school and I am exhausted. Literally not leaving the couch the rest of the evening now that Ds is in bed. Hopefully I will have a chance to read some of those fun sounding threads. I am just not sure how long I can keep my eyes open.
@PinkSunglasses16 and @cmerribury I feel your pain mamas. My 2 year old was being an asshole last night. She woke up at 4:30 for the day, I'm dying and my eyes burn

I biked everywhere up until I went into labor with my last pregnancy AND I had a 3 year old in a Wee Rider between my legs. And my belly was HUGE! I can't imagine riding a bike around now, but when you have been doing it all along you gradually adjust as you grow, I guess. And my rear end was in much better shape with that pregnancy!
@skruhmin so sorry he's still sick. Hopefully tonight will be much less exciting, and that no sheets will have to be changed.
@sarahfoley725 that's really cute! With DS, someone gave us a shower gift of a big blanket monogrammed with his name on it. If only we could name this LO! And no bueno with the splits. That'll hurt in the morning for sure.
Honestly I didn't think I would have such a hard time as I am having being on pelvic rest. On the bright side, the OB told me today that I could step down from a code red to a level yellowy/orange for my bed rest. Still no grocery shopping (thank goodness for Walmart pick up!), lifting, vacuuming, that sort of thing, but I can at least play more with DS, cook for short amounts of time, go out to dinner, and ride in the car (I made sure to ask lol).
@SarahFoley725 We are spelling out Malcolm's name in these marquee lights over the crib. They do light up, but are battery powered so I don't know how often we will turn the lights on.
My mom also got him wooden cut outs of his initials for Christmas. Those will stand up on a dresser.
Also, I spent 20 minutes bent over cutting my toenails tonight (not painting or anything, just cutting them so they weren't disgustingly long) and I broke out into a full body sweat and couldn't catch my breath. Pathetic.
Is third trimester vomiting a thing or should be thinking more food poisoning/stomach bug? I'm sure it's somewhere but I'm too sick to look.
Yes it can be. Return to morning sickness is very common. But there are also tons of stomach bugs floating around right niw. Try to stay hydrated if you can. Take Tylenol if you get a fever. Do you have Zofran?

I still have MS but I had a bug a few weeks ago and it felt completely different than MS. Hope you feel better!!
My gift for DH made it in time but I'm really not that happy with it. The girl only charged $25 but she said she'd stain it etc. also she put the year 2015 on it without talking to me about it first. He really likes it even though I had to point out that it's babies HR on it. This was the only person I could find who could do the HR so I'm kinda bummed.
@SarahFoley725 baby's heart rate on there is very cool! I wonder why she put the year on there without consulting you? I'd be annoyed about receiving an unfinished product though.
Haven't even caught up with this whole thread but just checking in while waiting for luggage. Just arrived in Ireland, about to see my family very shortly and I can't wait! Merry Christmas Eve! I'm so tired zzzzzzzzzzz
@SarahFoley725 it's really cool even if not finished. You can grab a small can at the store to finish it. The date thing would bug me most of all. It's still really cool, though, the heartbeat is so sweet!
