  • @red3ye Mine is the same way! It's awesome. She'll pick something up and say, heavy, heavy! All strained as she carries it. This is a great age!

I used to be a night owl. I'd stay up until 1-2am playing World of Warcraft and then sleep until 11. Those were the good old days lol. Now I'm in bed with DD by 8 and up by 7. For the first 9 months or so, she was up between 5-6am.

  • My toddler likes to wreck havoc and then dramatically exclaim "Oh no! Wha happen?!" AS if she just happened upon the chaotic scene instead of causing it.
  • DS2 was up until 11:45 last night. I'm pooped. At least hes napping now, i have no idea what is going on with him. DH went out hunting at buttcrack of dawn. But I have monster cookies in the oven for a cookie exchange girls night I'm going to. Ds1 was up at his usual 6:30. There is no sleeping in.

  • Yeh no sleeping in here either. Ds has never been a great sleeper. If he sleeps until 630 that is sleeping in. Although he will usually climb into my bed for a cartoon so I an close my eyes for another half hour. This week he is coming down with something and up by 5 it is brutal.

My MOPS table Christmas party was last night. We hosted at our house. It was so much fun but the last people didn't leave until 4 am. Needless to say I feel like I've been hit by a big truck today.

Since my Mobil bumping has been temporarily put on hold I haven't been able to get on TB all week! It is agonizing.

I'm not much of a night owl but DH is so I'm expecting this baby to be a night owl as well.  Sorry for all you tired mommies. I don't do well on little sleep so I really feel for you. Other than that, hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.

@torpedogirl That is a lovely dress that she wore!
  • Well last night I learned that my little baby likes to party between 4-6....thanks, kid.

Went to a baby shower this morning and then walked around a *small* craft market. My back hurts so bad, I feel pathetic already. 14 weeks still left kiddo.
  • Hello ladies :)

I've spent most of my day finishing my baby blanket for one coworker. Now on pay day I will go get more yarn to make one for the next.

I also went and visited my mom's dogs with my own- my mom, stepfather, grandparents, and DD all went to Syracuse for a production of Matilda. Sherman was quite the little asshole- he ate their food, they all got into a fight over it, then her two dogs got up in Sissy's space which made it extremely difficult to crochet. And of course this made Sherman jealous so he growled at them some more.

Here are her two- both licking the crap out of my face! Meanwhile, my poor dog was all by himself on the floor. This is the first time they wouldn't play together and I think it's because mom wasn't there so my dog got jealous over the other two spending time with me.

  • My best friends kids (3&1) stayed over last night. The youngest woke up at 5.30. Shouting so loud the eldest woke up also. So we had a nice long day...;)
  • Spent my morning in bed feeling gross, but got up and showered anyway! Go me. Then this afternoon MIL, me and DH's little brothers painted some Christmas pictures! I always feel weird calling them brother-in-law since ones 18 and the other is 11. Just feels too grown up for them d:

Now chilling on the couch with DH while he watches football! Kinda glad college football is almost over. NFL, fine. NBA, yeah I can watch that. But college football? No way, can't do it, just no.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Loaded baked potato casserole for dinner... Yum!!!

Lol dh is a college football coach... We seriously watch football nonstop. You'd think working long football hours would make him not want to watch t when he gets home, but if I let him I'm pretty sure football would be all he watched.
When we first started dating he had to give me football lessons which he called football 101 because I grew up in Canada and really never watched it. Now when I sit with the other coaches wives, I am the person they all look at to explain what is going on.
  • @cmerribury I'm really glad to see someone else in the world uses 'noshing' in their everyday vocabulary!!!  I say it, and people look at me like I'm a lunatic.

Although I might be a lunatic.  I spent the afternoon driving a transport with a fussy toddler in the back.  My behind sticking out of a truck bed in a Walmart parking lot while I physically haul a freaked out poop covered dog out of a crate.... I'm sure someone got a show!

Commiserating with all the early risers.  Our LO has turned into 5am'er lately because of peeing through every diaper + his usual 6am bowel movement has moved up to 4:30-5am...

@2goofykids Care to share your recipe for the casserole??

And everyone's siggies are so cute and sentimental and mine is so vulgar.  I'm thinking of changing it :) Despite the fact that it is seriously one of the best quotes from that movie.
  • @smushi I would, but no thanks to some heavy traffic and an accident ahead of us, I didn't get home in time to make dinner, so we settled for Little Ceasars on the way home. As soon as I make it and know if it's good I'll post it for you!
  • Lol @JLaVO888 people never seem to understand how to be polite
  • @MrsLeanMeanClean I agree with you. While I personally am not making plans to leave my baby often, DH will definitely be sharing responsibilities with me and she'll be used to my mom and dad as well. They only live about 20 minutes from us and we see them a few times a week as it is.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend thus far. I feel so productive. DH and I got so many things done we've been putting off in the house and we got the tree up as well. We got some paint samples for the nursery so we can get a move on that after the holidays. I've managed to get some sleep too but this cold won't let up. I always thought not being able to taste anything from being stuffy was the worst thing ever but it's extra sad when you're pregnant :( hahaha.

@red3ye I'll be thinking about your family!!
@2goofykids happy birthday to your DH!
  • Super granola/attachment parenting vs complete fruitcake... you tell me

Mom of a 10 month old upset about going back to work on Saturdays only because she has never left her baby for more than 2 hours.... even with her husband!

Maybe I am cold ans calloused but I invested in a nice pump because momma needs her me ime for sanity... sometimes that is a few hours out on a rugby pitch and sometimes that is cocktails with the girls... but you can bet DH will be doing his fair share of baby duty well before 10 months

It's very healthy to be able to leave your kid for more than two hours at a time. The first time is always difficult.

  • So, all day and all night heartburn. Tums help for about an hour, milk does nothing. Any suggestions?
Also, fog is bad here today. I am pretending that it is white outside from snow, not fog. I figure that it is already cold and damp out, might as well be snow
