She is really having a hard time being an adult these days, it's all "what would u do?" And "but I don't want to do that so I don't know what I want to do".
Told dh that she wants his help again Monday even though he wants to work on his car and he threw a fit. She was supposed to watch ds for us while we get our anatomy scan Thursday but now she is taking off Monday.
Man, I feel better already, guess I needed to rant. Plus, my doctor asked me the other day if I have noticed more frustration lately, and I'm like yeah, all the time, always upset with someone these days

I work 7p-7a in the ER tonight. Not only is it Halloween, it's daylight saving time (yay for 13hrs not just 12...), and downtime for our computer charting. It's really hard to take patients seriously when they're dressed as slutty nurses, cats, nuns, you name it- it can be slutty. Hopefully I'll get in some good laughs tonight.

We are doing good but the one I am in was started at about 12 weeks or so. We are not the huge group and haven't had any issues. I enjoy it but I like coming here too.

No clue! I don't even know what it's called. I heard there was drama early on and was glad to not be involved. There are usually a few crazies but they eventually show their true colors and get the boot ha!

Well DS is in bed earlier than I'd hoped for daylight savings time... We screwed up his midday nap, so it only lasted 30 minutes.  We hit one house 'trick or treating' (really, just to say hello).  It was pretty damn devastating that not a single house in that huge subdivision was decorated.  There were no porch lights on or anything.  I just can't wrap my head around this city... Nobody trick or treats anymore.  Coming from living on 'the block' to this... It just makes me so sad.

And this is the wrong day, but WTF quick care doctor.  My cough has gotten much worse again, so I went in to try and head it off (Saturdays are really my only day to see the dr).  This guy seemed to think that OBs have no clue and that modern medicine warnings for pregnancies are totally unfounded.  Two of the three things he prescribed me are most definitely Class C drugs, and he wanted to give me a shot, but I opted for the pill version, so I could check with my OB before starting it.  It's hard to trust the medical opinion of anyone wearing blue velvet shoes and a white silk vest... Yeah...

Poor Ds is still sick. He never made it past the neighbors house. So much for trick or treating. I think we will be heading to urgent care tomorrow. His fever is manageable but he is refusing to eat anything because he says it hurts. I feel so bad. I hate when he is sick.

Hello we are back from the land of no cell service lol. We went out to the fire station. It wasn't nearly as packed as it used to be, but we think it's because the neighboring town decided this year to do a Halloween party from 12-3. We stay open anyway for potty breaks and coffee/hot chocolate because it gets so cold out. Sherman did really well- he only barked at the group of teens that came barging in acting like morons.

Best costume I saw tonight was a boy dressed as the 11th doctor from Doctor Who. Someone didn't know who that was and when she asked him why he was wearing a fez he even replied "because fezes are cool". He must be a pretty big fan lol!

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone had a great day with your kiddos. I went Trunk Or Treating with my nephew but that was about it.

I had a WEIRD but hilarious dream last night. I dreamed we had the baby early (but it was like she was full term) so my breast pump hadn't come in yet. Anyway my brothers girlfriend told me to twist my nipples and the milk would come out. So I twisted my nipples and they literally turned like faucets or something and I had milk steady flowing into sandwich bags. Sooooo weird.

Anyway I'm snuggin with my pups on the couch right now. Sorry to AW but this is pretty cute.

It seems to be OK but it's so big it's hard to follow with people just posting their random strings of thought and rally hard to keep up with anything remotely interesting unless you live mom fB

Now that it's November I'm definitely thinking "Holy Sh1t! 4 months until baby gets here!!!" I am seriously slacking, haven't bought a damn thing. On the other hand, I have four whole months (plus change). It'll be fiiiiiiine....

Also wtf MIL who told me yesterday I didn't really have a bump but that my face looks 'fuller'. Pretty sure that's just a euphemism for 'fat'. Thanks for that, I totally feel that beautiful pregnant glow everyone's been talking about. She's a great lady but man, she could do with a bigger filter.

That's why I like TB for large groups. More organized.

At urgent care with my 5 year old his fever hasn't broken and now he has a horrible cough. Really just want him to feel better.

Thanks he tested negative for strep and flu which is good they think it's just a bad cold and to keep doing what I've been doing. I'll be taking him to his pediatrician tomorrow to make sure all my bases are covered since we are going on day three with a fever with no break in it.

We took Ds to urgent care today too. It was empty but we still waited almost 2 hours to see the doctor. He looked at him for 2 minutes and said he has a runny nose and cough nothing I can do (he barely looked in ds's mouth because Ds squirmed and he didn't use a tongue depressor) so I told him that we only came for him to check ds's throat and he gave me a hard time. Finally, he asked if the nurse had swabbed his throat (which she had) and sure enough it was positive for strep (he hadn't bothered to check the results, which were on the screen right in front of him). The doctor was like "weird I wouldn't have thought it would be positive." Thank you mommy intuition for making me hold my ground. I would have brought him to the pediatrician tomorrow anyways, but now he has antibiotics one day sooner. I hate this urgent care but it is the only one locally that sees children under 4.

Hey we went to Children's urgent care for my 1 year old too. Very rattly breathing, belly breathing and lerhargic. He had to have a chest xray (scary when I couldn't go with because I'm pregnant ) and then the sucked a ton of mucus out of his lungs, which he screamed for and I almost couldn't be in the same room. So awful to listen to your baby be tortured. Thankfully just an upper repertory virus and not too serious. But scary nonetheless.

@Stormiewinter I know how you feel the doctor was cool but with the Entrovirus that went around last year and all the flooding my we've had in South Carolina I'm worried they missed something like a parasite or mold. I'm a little more paranoid since he usually only has a fever for 48 hours even when he has the flu. He's really not himself so I'm taking him to the pediatrician tomorrow.

Good thing you spoke up and your baby boy got antibiotics. I hope he feels better soon. We as mommies always have to be our babies biggest advocate since we know our children best.

Packing is complete, and the flying anxieties have begun... I know we have all the papers we need, and that everything is going to go super smoothly, and once we get in the air I'll be just fine, but the checking in and security and waiting around in lines and boarding brings I'm a whole lot of anxiety.

On the plus side, we'll be in the happiest place on earth tomorrow! Last trip without babies. That's such a weird thing to think about.

I hope I have good Mommy instincts like all of you. I get so annoyed with doctors that don't listen to their patients.

Today however I can't decide if my upset stomach and overall feeling crappy today is pregnancy related or a little bug. It's really annoying not being able to distinguish between the two sometimes.

Is it some type of man ability to be able to get into the bed and 45 seconds later be in a full on, snoring, deep sleep?! Geeze, even when I'm exhausted I have to get comfortable, move my pillow 2-3 times, inevitably get up to check on a child at least once, go pee for the 3rd time and then get back into bed and fall asleep 20 minutes later. Lol

Man sorry so many of y'all have sick kiddos. I wish I could hug them all better...meanwhile my kids at work are both apparently sick so I'd really like to not go to work tomorrow haha.

Question for my experiences preggos: I've been feeling this cramp almost in the same spot on my stomach. It feels like someone jabbed me with their elbow. I don't feel like kiddo is big enough to be making me say ouch and it's in the same spot (I assume she's be moving around and stabbing me in other places) anyone know what the deal is? I have to call my doctor in the morning but I'm curious

So many sick kiddos, I hope they all feel better soon, ladies! Mine sounds like he's coming down with something, too. Now the waiting game (and tonsil checking game) begins in earnest. 

I had the weirdest dream last night, that I went out to collect eggs and thought there were only two, but then realized that the whole coop was fully of eggs and each time I picked one up, more appeared in its place. I couldn't scoop them up fast enough. 

In other news I can't stop drinking freezing cold cream on top whole milk. I'm going through it by the gallon. My husband thinks I'm insane because he only drinks 1% or skim...but it's SO good. 

Anyway, happy Monday.

Guys.....I don't know how to survive today. I'm so nervous about my specialist appointment tomorrow. I know you're not supposed to read about things like this and stress yourself out more but I was really dissatisfied with the lack of information my doctor gave me.

He probably didn't give you more information so that you don't try to freak out before getting the entire picture.  Try to not hit up Dr Google today and please try to relax.
