I went to school with a guy named storm, and his older brothers name was forest. My nephew has a little friend named UNA (ou-nah) and her little brothers name is osha(oh-shaw)
Just remembered: I worked with a girl named Cinnamon. She really hated it because she knew people wouldn't take her seriously. My cousin named her daughter Zuki. It has something to do with Godzilla or something? I've got a friend with the last name Tan. As a teenager, he joked about naming his children "Son Tan" and "Anita Tan." Anita Tan still cracks me up.
That urban legend has been around for quite some time now and I don't know about the twins, but it is still entirely possible that people have names their kids these things.
My husband had a patient awhile ago that was either lemonjello or orangello I can't remember which one. But it was just one of them, not the brother. He gets to see quite a few interesting ones. His personal favorite is Shadynasty, pronounced Sha-dynasty, not Shady nasty as he would like to think.

Agreed, I actually know a set of twins named that. It is not just something I heard of from someone. So definitely not legend. They were two grades ahead of me in high school.
I had a friend who's parents wanted to name him "Cluck"(like the noise you can make with your tongue) but they weren't sure How they would spell it so they settled for Zack.... Lol!

If a name is used 5 times or more in a year it is recorded by the SSA. Statistically, all these people saying they know an Oranjello, lemonjello, or le-a is impossible as none of these names have been recorded, ever.
That said, continuing to spread these urban legends is a disservice to all. They originated from racist jokes and chain emails. Why would anyone want to keep spreading a racist joke? people might not realize that, and mentioning it offhand to someone who does will portray yourself in an extremely negative light.
For the record, Ledasha, without the hypen, has been recorded multiple years. I believe the highest in a single year was in the mid 30s.
My mom told me a story, and I'm not sure if it was urban legend or true story, of a man with the last name Hogg who named his daughters Ima and Ura. Sounds like urban legend to me (in this case mocking uneducated Southern white people rather than African-Americans, but still . . .).
In real life, I had a friend in college whose name was Justin, and his parents had seriously considered giving him the middle name Case.
Edit: according to Wikipedia, Ima Hogg was a real person and her father was a governor, not a back-woods hick. There was no Ura; Ima had only brothers.
I grew up with girls named Cupcake and Sparkle. I worked with a guy named Hammer, his sisters name was Jet and their older brother is named Doug. WHAT HAPPENED!?!?!! hahaha!

I understand what you are saying, and I know the social security records the information that they receive, but that's assuming the names have been recorded.
I get how all of the friend of a friend said they met one once can get old, but maybe, just maybe, not all of them are lying.
One of the names on the list in that link is "Shithead". I have personally known two. I went to school with them and it was pronounced Shi-Thead. It is not an uncommon Indian name. I'm not going to pretend I didn't know them or that my husband is a liar because snopes says they don't exist.
And as much as I would like to continue this discussion, I most likely won't be back on until late tonight or tomorrow.

I didn't call anyone out on being a liar, I just posted information that makes these names statistically, highly unlikely for multiple people on the same thread to have actually seen, and yes, it does get old and yes, I am tired of seeing these names drug out in multiple posts. I don't find names like le-a funny, because I don't find jokes about black people being uneducated funny. I don't find Shithead funny, because I don't find a non-native speaker not knowing how swear words in English are spelled funny.

This made me curious so I did a search and it looks like there is a set of twins named Orangello and Lemongello snicket in GA. I do not know these people myself obviously and it's just what the good ol' internet says, so take it how you want. I can definitely see something like this starting off as a legend but then someone actually doing it later.

Quick Google search suggests they might exist, but one set in GA still does not account for as many people who claim to know one.
And you bring up another reason why to not circulate these legends, eventually they can become common enough in our vernacular that they are adopted as names on a larger scale. Look at Madison from that 80s movie.
I don't think it's too unusual, but we have a student named Summer and her last name is Storm. Her twin brother has a normal name when paired with "Storm" so I guess she was just the lucky one
This is my terrible mispronunciation, but still a little funny. I had a student with the last name "Nuthak". I pronounced it just like "nut sack", but with a lisp. All year long I essentially called this poor child "Mr. Nutsack" until the LAST month of school another kid told me it's new-tak. I was so upset that he never corrected me!!
I did meet a Cinderella at my Dad's office She told me she got to choose her own english name when she moved here and she chose Cinderella. I think it's cute
I went to school with sisters Winter and Summer, brothers Blaze and Storm, and my very favorite, Harold. His family owned a huge car dealership. Their last name was Butts, and of course his nickname was Harry
Almost forgot one...I went to school with a guy named Phuc Hieu...he just went by Hieu, which was his middle name. Still to this day, I don't know how he pronounces his first name.
I like the name Winter! Summer was in my grade level, and her sister was several years older. I went to Winter's wedding (in the spring, haha). It was just funny to have the two season sisters. I wish there had been an Autumn too.
Maybe not so weird, but taken in aggregate: Cayenne, and siblings Porsche and Lexxus (Lexis?). Overheard at a Target. It made an impression.
On the name front, I have a very strange name but that's because my family is from another country. My name is quite popular there, but here, i share it with a lot of drag queens
My husband wants our son to have a more traditional name from back home (even though he's American) but I feel like I'm sentencing my son to always having to explain his name, which I can tell you is SO annoying. I kind of wished my name was Jennifer or something like that haha! Would have made life easier
My husband was named Freedom Mountain. At age 14 changed it legally to Alex. Now he kinda wishes he would have kept it. I do too, it really fits him. His sister's name is Fantasy.
