Baby Names

Ruby Rose

This is what we have chose to name our baby girl. Opinions?

Re: Ruby Rose

  • Ruby Rose is a bit silly paired together to be honest. I would pick one or the other

  • Both are lovely names, but sound really cheesy together, in my opinion. I agree with PP...pick one or the other.

  • I love both names. Together, it sounds like an order I would place at the florist. "I'd like to order a dozen of the ruby rose bouquet. "

I can picture some girls / adult women where this would work. But there's no way to know if yours will be the personality type that fits the name.

^This is exactly what I thought too. I'd pick one or the other
  • Love Ruby, love Rose, but don't like them together.

  • Agreed. Sounds a bit juvenile and silly... like a comic book character or something. Choose one or the other.

  • Agree with everyone else . It's just too much together, one or the other.
  • Like both names but not together. It's like naming your kid Jade Green or Pearl White.

  • It's a bit cheesy together. Which name you do like more and keep it, look for another.
  • I love the name Ruby, but I don't know about pairing it with Rose. It sounds like a character in a children's book.
  • I agree with pp. It sounds like a Disney character honestly. I'd keep Ruby. Love it. It just needs a different mn. Ruby Jane, Ruby Claire, Ruby Celeste
  • I love noun names, but not 2 in the same name. Also, Rose seems to have become the new filler middle name. It's the new Grace and Elizabeth. There's nothing really wrong with that though. Just an observation.

  • Everyone else is correct. It is silly and cheesy together, but lovely seperated.
  • Ruby and Rose are a bit silly together. I think of roses made of rubies or super red roses. Maybe consider some of the other names suggested above.

  • I think Ruby Rose is really pretty together

I like them separately but not so much together.
  • Just saw news for 2nd season of OITNB, actress named Ruby Rose to join cast... sounds like a stage name because it is!
