Cracked nips

I'm mostly an EP with the occasional BF. So the past couple of days my nips have been very painful and upon closer inspection they are cracked and the cracked part is kinda white. I use nipple butter after every pump and have lowered my suction a notch. Anyone else experiencing this and anyone have any remedies?

Get some All Purpose Nipple Ointment! Your OB has to call it into a compounding agency but totally worth it.

Call or go to your doc. If it's thrush you definitely want to start taking care of it before it gets too bad. F thrush.

Ok how do I know it's thrush? And where can I get this coconut oil everyone's been talking about?

Coconut oil at the grocery store. Use the one for cooking. Might be best to look in the crunchy section of your store.

My Walgreens makes APNO, so I would check with your pharmacy and have the Dr call in the Rx.

Look in LOs mouth, if he/she has white on his/her tongue then you have thrush. You will have to get a prescription for LO to clear it up. If it is thrush then you can try lotrimin (athletes foot) cream on your nipple to heal them. I had it and it hurts soo bad. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks ladies. Yeah I don't think it's thrush but am going to pick up some coconut oil tomorrow.
