I saved this chart to my phone and look at it every day. Thanks so much, OP! @l4rk Edited to say: DW quoted this chart to me this morning too. "Happy 74.8% day, babe!" And then we high fived. lol.
Omg this made my night! You're very welcome. I'm glad you're finding comfort in the chart too.
I see all the replys - but can't find the chat anymore. I want to save it to my phone. I had my first ultrasound today and heard the heartbeat! They also saw a hematoma - so I'm feeling a little nervous. I want to remind myself that at 7 weeks, I'm in good shape!
This is my favorite post EVER!! Miscarriage is something that always seems to be lingering in the back of my mind and my DH doesn't understand why. Its those damn articles! You're right. They all focus on the negative. Thank you so much for sharing! This definitely gives me some peace of mind!!!!
Thanks so much for this! I am a worrier (working on it!) and this my first pregnancy, and let's just say we were super surprised. This really settled my nerves.
This is amazing! You've brought happiness to so many people on this board by putting together such an uplifting chart. I'm thrilled to see that I am 97% likely to NOT have a m/c!
I really don't think that's a good idea. Those women probably know the stats backwards and forwards and, for those with more than one loss like myself, may feel patronized, particularly if it's coming from a chipper FTM that hasn't gone through losses.
Good point @SummerOH. They probably know the stats already. I had a m/c previously and knew at certain points the risk gets lower, but I'd never seen it broken out by day and put in such a positive light. That's the only reason I wondered if they might like to see it.
You are so right about the comments always being about miscarriages. Women aren't usually commenting on miscarriage statistics saying that they carried to term!
Thank you! This is super helpful. I have had a few friends recently miscarry and it is freaking me out! I just want a happy healthy full term baby! I'm currently 6w2d so I guess my odds are pretty darn strong!! Thanks again

This is a great way to look at things, though!
Yep, I agree. And honestly, I even considered not posting it on this board in the first place either, because I thought it might be too tough for women who have struggled through MC. I didn't want to be insensitive. But in the end, I decided to be optimistic, take a risk and just hope that the post helps more women than it hurts (and that the women who do hurt understand my intentions weren't to do so). Statistically, it made sense that it would be helpful and it looks like it has been!
The mind is so powerful. The more positive your outlook, and really believing it, the better chance you have for a healthy pregnancy. Let's do this baby mommas!!! January here we come....
Even with 3 early miscarriages before this pregnancy this makes me smile and more confident for my first u/s tomorrow! Although I know my rates are a bit lower, looking at the Succes rate instead of the other rate is very helpful!!!! Good job!!
I absolutely love this! I saw it when we first found out we were expected (approx 4 weeks; we're now 6w 4d) and I wanted to save it to my phone. I could not figure out how to save it so I took two screen prints/photos so now it's in my camera roll. I look at it each morning to see how the odds continue to increase in our favor : )
This is very reassuring to me!!! Thank you !! So at eight weeks I am 98 percent going to have a healthy pregnancy... Yes, that I can handle!! Thank you!!

Don't want to burst your bubble but all it means is that you won't miscarry which is only losing the baby BEFORE 20 weeks, it means nothing after that or for the actual health of your pregnancy or baby. It's hurdle #1.
Thank you for posting this. I'm a worrier/over analyzer type and I'm currently at 3 weeks (have yet to see a doctor, so not entirely certain of the actual time).
I have read articles about miscarriages, and people with their stories and it made me worry a bit. But it's great to know that the likely hood isn't as high as I had thought. I'll continue doing healthy things and hope for the best
This just totally made my day. As if the first trimester wasn't scary enough - all I keep seeing are the bad things that can happen! It's so nice to see the positive rather than the negative!! Thank you so much!
