I have the bump app and primarily use that. I've found that you can search within a discussion once you are in it, but I can't find a search for all the discussions. Am I missing something? Note, I did use the "search discussion" function in this thread for the word "app" and did not find this question in this thread, but I was unable to search all the boards.

Go back to your Birth Club/ Birth Month discussion home page
It should have all the different discussions posted
At the very bottom underneath the page numbers is a "Search Function" box
Type something in it and click "GO"
It should generally search it for the DEC15 Discussion Board
On that page, if you scroll down, there should be drop down box titled "Boards" that automatically has "December 2015 Month Club" written in it
Click that box and a pop up type thing gives you alternate boards... Scroll all the way up through all the board selections until you find one that says "(All)"
Select it, then scroll back to the top of the search page, and click the search button again.

    Experience:
I use the bump mobile app only, and I just tried it!

It's easier to post something when it comes to mind. It's a support group and if you have a question, post it. If you've seen it a lot and spend a lot of time on here, not all of us do, and are tired of the same questions then move on. There is no rule and it's silly to scroll back so many pages. I posted something the other day, since this is my first pregnancy, and I was told not to post something that's already been asked. That made me less likely to post again. If you have a question, ask it. If you have an answer, answer it. If you're tired of seeing it, ignore it. Simple as that :)

    That's a cool idea ... except not ... and here's why.

    It's rude.

    Plain and simple.

This board is a two way street ... it isn't a bunch of ladies sitting here waiting to give answers to any person who feels like driving by and dropping a thread. It's a community built on receiving AND GIVING support. For people who stick around long enough to read through a few threads, provide support, get to know people, they'll soon realize how the community works and how incredibly obnoxious repeat threads can be. They'll use the search function out of respect for the mass of people on here. They'll recognize that the time and effort has been put in to answer this question previously and it's rude to repost it and expect everything to answer it again.

But then there are those who jump on at random to post their drive by question, who really want it answered RIGHT NOW but without any snark or sarcasm and only with the responses they're truly hoping for, who don't feel the need to spend ANY time here to see how things work ... those people, in my humble opinion are being rude. You cannot expect to get effort from everyone else if you're not willing to put the same effort in first.

THAT is why we all would like the search function to be used. We all obviously recognize that there is no getting away from double posts completely. But if everyone would take a quick second to search, see if something else has been posted, and then post if they feel their question is still warranted, that at least shows some respect for the community being built here instead of making it all about them and their single question.

And, your logic is flawed ... we already are starting to just ignore double posts. They're dropping down the page super quickly because no one wants to answer them again and again. But then we get irritated people who don't get their question answered which opens a whole new can of worms. If people would just use the search function so much of the irritation would be gone. Simple as that. It's not a group of people on here trying to be all high and mighty. It's a group of people on here trying to be respectful and create a board that works for everyone ... which takes effort ... from everyone.
    This. So many times.

    You are my new favorite.

I don't think she is here anymore. If you click on her name, it goes to her profile. It says banned in red! I can't imagine how she got banned, I've thought the discussions have been spirited, but haven't crossed any lines. Ugh!

Are you kidding me?! That's far from what I would call bannable?

    @313Meg
I think maybe it was the UO thread? I believe it was said sarcastically, but the word twat waddle (Or something like that) was being thrown around. I can't find that thread anymore either. Sigh...not worth a ban on anyone.

Maybe you can't be on the page once you have a loss?

This may be the case. If it is the case, I will tell you all goodbye and that I love you so much! Although, I guess technically I'm still pregnant until I have my D&C... Alas, it has been very fun and I love you all very much! Cannot wait to do some lurking in December/January and hopefully see all of your beautiful babies!!!

I doubt that's the case... It's a public forum. I've always been able to lurk even before I was ku after ds.

What on earth did I miss??? Are we seriously banning people from the UO discussion?

  • Check it objectified at a bbq thread, and user theredheather their fight. I haven't read the whole thing but I'm guessing it's from that. :(
  • I thought people were really posting questions on how to use the search function. Lol I took screen shots to help, I even drew on them with the steps. I should have looked first

It wasn't the BBQ thread.  She went into N15 and talked about how she's a "bad bitch" and is going to troll red heather and I.  That will get you banned every time.
  • gerblahgerblah member
I didn't say anything about her marriage.  I just think you shouldn't say how smart you are if you can't spell it.
  • Well this is all crazy.

Wait what?! OMG what happened? @bostonbaby1 I am sooooo sorry! It won't be the same without you. Please take care of yourself. I'll miss you!
  • You guys are right - that fight was on the BBQ thread, not the UO. I couldn't remember which one it was and when I searched and couldn't find UO, (which is now popping up in searches) I assumed incorrectly. I blame pregnancy brain - no short term memory whatsoever some days.

I don't think @BostonBaby1 is actually going anywhere. SoCal got banned by some ladies who were trolling her, not because she had a loss :/
I know, I just imagine it would be hard to stick around and comment all day when going through a loss. I know I left my last bmb after a week or two. @bostonbaby1 I hope you stay! But I understand if you leave.
