@poprockS17 Australian Shepherds I was surprised how many people thought we were announcing a new puppy, which we are getting in 2 weeks (hunting lab for the hubby), and days later came back with congratulations
This was our announcement photo. It was hubby's idea. Our last name has the word duck in it and we recently moved to Scotland, hence the Scottish rubber duck. Our Facebook post said "We left Canada family of 2 and we are coming back to visit as a family of 3! Our little Scottish duckling is due to arrive November 2015!"
@abz86 I love how you incorporated your older daughter reading a big sis book. We haven't made an announcement yet, but we just decided we're going to copy you... It's simple but ridiculously cute!
Hello everyone in new to the bump. I'm due November 16 and we announced on Mother's Day with all of our family at a dinner. We did a box with a Hershey bar inside and colored some blue and some pink. With her in pink and he in blue. It was so adorable.

Welcome! Hope you find this board useful with all the information it offers!!
This was our announcement for social media! We took it at the photo booth at my brother-in-law's graduation party last month. We just made it Facebook official today!
Congratulations @swaffles !!!! I tried for 6 months and I know that's not long at all (and it is my 4th) but it made me really think of women who try more than a year. I don't know you but am SO happy for you guys!!!
Maybe it's just my personality or something but for me and for this pregnancy I am totally ANTI bump pic/cutesy announcement story. I told my kids and my parents and siblings right away. Told my friends on Facebook by doing an "unofficial and unconfirmed" mystery pic of me parked in an expectant mother spot when I was like 7 weeks...and didn't say anything else until last week when I hit 17 weeks! Lol.... That's as cutesy and I can muster.
However, I write a weekly column for a local paper and I did write my column last week announcing my pregnancy to my readers...so I guess that's the official way I shared the news.
We both love Disney as well as The Haunted Mansion. We really love it around our favorite holiday, halloween. Mostly because they bring back another favorite of ours, The Nightmare Before Christmas. So we combined everything. Overall, we got a huge reaction we weren't expecting!
This is how we will be sharing the news with my husbands Nana. She is the only one left that doesn't know. She lives a couple of hours away and we wanted to tell her in person
Re: How we announced our pregnancy!
Revealed the sex in the caption and with the pinkish cake.
