We called our parents and told our closest friends in person, and then sent out an email with this picture to all of our extended friends and family. Then I posted the same note on Facebook. It was really easy to announce and fun... I'm not normally very "cutesy" or creative, but I had fun with this!
We made it "FB official" yesterday which also happened to be my birthday as well as my 13 week appt. We had a mc in the beginning of Feb (baby #3) that we only told our parents about so this time around I've been more nervous to say anything. DH an I told our families at 10 weeks. Once we heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday and the doctor confirmed all my blood work came back great we told everyone else.
Anyone think it's cliché to announce on mothers day?
I don't! I think it's the perfect day for it. I want to announce on Mother's Day but I'll be about 11 weeks so I might wait a couple of more weeks. We've told family and close friends already. I've had fun this week telling close friends in person. Love seeing their reactions!
My mom always makes each baby a cross stitch Christmas stocking and birth announcement, so I shipped one to the house with a note that said "can you start working on this for us?" She was thrilled!

My aunt thought she was infertile, and she sent my grandma a magnet featuring a very pregnant lady yelling, "Hey, mom! Guess what!"
I am giving a frame that has 4 spot in it to my mom for MD. Each slot will have a pic of one of my kids with a sign and the last one will have the pic of baby booties with date. The pic of the youngest gives ya an idea of what the individual pics look like. The pic with all 3 my boys will be the FB announcement.
Some of our family and close friends know already, but we posted this tonight to share with everybody else. My husband's name is Will, and my name is Kristen.... hence, Willsten. It started as a joke and kind of stuck, more than 10 years later and it's still what people call us! (I hope the attachment worked...)
We're finally telling our families tomorrow when they're both here for a cookout but we'll wait a couple days to put it out on social media. We're big holders and announced our wedding date with a golf themed engagement shoot so this is right up our alley
We couldn't wait so we told everyone at 9 weeks. First, we put a picture of our sonogram in my mother-in-laws birthday card and sneakily recorded her emotional reaction. Then we told our friends while taking a group photo by saying "Say cheese, now say, I'm pregnant!" (I borrowed that idea from someone else) Lastly, we posted this pic of our dogs on our social media sites.
