@gutsymama I had slightly suspected bui... but I've said plenty of similarly unintelligible things while sober.
Busted.... Since MIL showed up early, DH and I may have mapped out our next set of major life decisions over margaritas last night ;;)

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I just checked the academic calendar of one of the universities in KC to see if we might be there in time for me to teach a summer session course.
Guys, the calendar says FINAL'S WEEK. 5 times, on each day of finals week, so not just a single typo.

@robynloureed you could have a cute little monkey on your butt and then your shirt could say something like cutie on it or maybe princess in training, haha.
@lizabethann06 I wouldn't mind twins (1st go round). They run in both sides if our families.
So there was a woman on BBC (yes I infrequently lurked them during DSs pregnancy) who had (spontaneous) triplets and was on the July board I belive. Last I checked her blog she was still BFing all 3 of them and pregnant again (with a singleton) due in either March or April!
I'm friends with a girl here who had spontaneous identical trips in November. I can't imagine bfing 3... You only have 2 boobs! I bfed the boys, but that third one seems like a game changer.
@haddocky LO has four of the same kind of blanket, but different colors...he prefers the green one and wants to carry it all the time...everywhere. I consistently ruin his days by the amount of times I have to wash it.
So DH took Adrian to our 18mo check up today and to get his flu booster shot. I'm so proud of DH, he's never taken him to the doctor on his own. They drove up to Bloor and hopped on the subway to the doctor's office, he handled the shot perfectly, and even packed him a snack and some toys for the trip, without any input from me. Such a good dad :x
I am a bit sad though, Adrian's lost a bit of weight - he's now 23lb14oz, which is down from his 15mo appt. He's shot up in height - DH thinks she said 35" but I'm confirming because that's a huge spike (he has grown quite a bit but still, that's off the charts). Dr. isn't concerned, he's a super active little guy, running around like a mad man, and he eats well.
I love the Cashew Clusters with Pumpkin Seeds from Costco.
We also have backed out of our baby girl name for the time being. We are thinking we will know when we see her what her name will be...we have three choices ready, so we aren't completely without a name, just do not know which to use
Looks pretty calm around here today with not many sick baby or mommy posts! FX its all gone!
Went to gym for 20 minutes, realized I forgot my fitbit. %-(
Went home, got fitbit... Hoping for a do-over and the guy who screams and hollers like he's in an orgy while he powerlifts is here. Yay. The first day, I laughed my ass off all alone like some kind of schizoid and today I'm just hating his face. %you loud powerlifting guy. Go enjoy life elsewhere.
@econmama
Yay! I love happy news on a Monday.
@JTA2426 congrats
@picklex have fun settling in.
I hate painting. I used to love it but it lost its appeal over time.
When we moved into this house we more than doubled our space. For several months we had lots of empty rooms including the living and dining room. It was all echoey!
DH wanted J to be twins. He thought it would be perfect to have a set of boy girl twins and then be finished.
During the dating US I was lying there sobbing at seeing an actual heartbeat and he was happy but he asked "only one" With this hopeful note to his voice.
The tech was laughing at him.
I was terrified there would be twins both times. According to some research, which hasn't been backed up by further studies but also hasn't been refuted, you're WAY more likely to conceive twins if you're still nursing when you conceive. It said like 10% chance of twins or something. So I was making myself crazy the second time around
Both pregnancies, at my first US my first question is THERE'S ONLY ONE IN THERE RIGHT?!
At our first u/s, after confirming heartbeat she said, "Ok, I'm just checking to see if there's another one" all casual-like and DH just about passed out. Apparently it had not occurred to him that there could be more than one....

Re: Twins : I am a fraternal twin. So the gene for hyper ovulation runs on my maternal side. Every ultrasound I was semi-worried and/or excited that there might be twins. H jokes that our next rodeo that we will probably get twins because that seems to be the irony of our lives. Shoot for one more baby & we get two. I'd be happy either way. Happy, healthy & adorable!

DH's one supervisor has three girls. They were trying for "one more" bc the husband wanted a boy and they ended up with twin boys! They have 5 kids ranging from 7 to almost a year.
Also I may need someone to smack me real hard, because I have been finding myself thinking lately that L really isn't all that much extra work aside from taking a few minutes a day to prep TPN, so we could probably handle another baby right now, instead of waiting until Ivy gets the boot again, because L is really super awesome so then double the awesome! Plus babies. (Never mind the potential for hospital stays, or all of his appointments, that I don't have a job, or ........... )
I suspect I will no longer be thinking those crazy thoughts after tackling dinner + TPN prep + bedtime all by myself on Wednesday.

Sounds like they need you.
@KittenD - that's what I was going to say!
@econmama - been sending you good US vibes all morning and am so happy that you already have good news before I could post!
Congratulations, @JTA2426@atlvol, I'm sure your 3 (or 50) shades of black\gray looked nice @robynloureed - get a fitbit and join the faction! You can try to catch @fabk like @ashie624 finally did this weekend.
Howzabout some more coffee everyone?
Congrats @JTA2426! I thought I recognized your siggy when I was lurking J15 the other day and was all "wait...what?!" I agree with @kikicohen about that board. I participate a little, but my prediction is that board will be a ghost town once the ink dries on all the birth certificates.
@PickleX's have fun redecorating your new house! Some people's design choices really make me scratch my head. When we moved into our current house, we had to replace leopard print foam toilet seats. And peel gigantic butterfly stickers off the kitchen cabinets. @-)
@primrosemama@casey78@lizabethann06 okay thanks - I was getting so worried because I felt like all of a sudden I could feel his ribs when I picked him up, but it's nice to know it's common for them to skinny out. I looked back at his his 7month photos and MAN he was a chunker, I miss those baby rolls :x
OB called in a prescription for anti-nausea meds, but CVS is out of stock. I can't get it until tomorrow.
Our Walmart pharmacy is constantly out of Zofran. The first time it happened, I literally had one pill left, so I had to have my prescription transferred to a neighboring WalMart. After that, I submitted my refill request a few days in advance. Ain't nobody got time for that!

I even asked them to check the two other CVS' in the neighborhood, and none of them had it.
Annoying!
That's crazy! It's like you need to know a dealer lol
@econmama, I ran into that at Walgreens with my nausea prescription. After they told me no Walgreens had it, I asked them to call Kroger, CVS, etc. Transferring the script was a pain for them, but it was better than waiting several days for me.
They said they'd have it tomorrow, so I'll just wait. And be annoyed about it ;-)
Candied ginger in the meantime? Hope the nausea settles down.
My cousin had a set of boy twins and then had trouble getting pg with another baby a few years later. They really wanted just one more so ended up doing ivf and low and behold had another set of twins. She was so shocked and panicked but it's worked out well!
I always secretly hoped for twins but this shop is closed so no more babies here!
@econmama : congrats on a great ultrasound today! Sorry about the zofran shortage.
This drink kept me from feeling like poop last time. It's spicy, but a tiny bit sweet. You can find it at regular stores usually, but I ordered it from Amazon. I still use it for Abby when she says her tummy hurts or if I'm nauseated.
C has thinned out a lot recently, too. And now with this past week of sickness, he has lost weight. I can feel his little ribs and spine poking through. Its sad, but his appitite has picked up today.

I can't believe I did it! Major props to @fabk for doing that like every day. It'll probably be a long time before I take almost 25,000 steps in a day again.

@caffeinerain Looks like I missed something with you, too! Congrats!!!! <:-P
Lucas is kissy right now too. My favorite is that if he bumps something, instead of me kissing the booboo he needs to give me a kiss. Perfectly round little pucker :x

Great, now you guys have me wanting to make more coffee and it's 2:30 in the afternoon! I think I will though...I have to go to a long night of dance class and it's freezing ass cold here and coffee sounds so so good!!!
@robynloureed that's the worst! It's frustrating when you want to do something but have to sit around and wait for them to wake up. Who knows if it'll be 5 minutes or 2 hours??
@ramy3 what are you trying to show us?? Now I'm curious!
So now I've just chugged 2 huge cups of coffee and am off to class. First up is a wild group of K-1st graders, so much fun! They get a kick out of me when I'm silly and active so I'll be up for the task today for sure! :-)
The group that uses the conference room across from my office on Mondays has cookies and fresh fruit brought for their meetings. There is always something left. Be it strawberries, oatmeal-raisin cookies, or a combination of the two. I have been working here since August. HOW DID I NOT KNOW.
Oh and @caffienerain is there a special reason for your mens aerobics siggy? I ask only because I know someone who was actually in the 1987 video and your siggy makes me giggle every time. I think it's a clip from the same one the guy I know was in.

Looks like my Fitbit is out for delivery today! \:D/
DD has sleep deprived herself this weekend so I'm thinking we will have to do two naps today. She's been a hot mess.. Fun times.
Yay @econmama for only one healthy nugget! <:-P
