I have yahoo, ill have to look into that. Gee thanks everyone, here I was completely content to be an overloaded email slacker and now I'm gonna have to put on my big girl pants and start organizing
Ok, I got all distracted by school, but a flat white is like a latte. However, it has 2 concentrated shots of espresso and is mixed with a whole milk micro foam. It only comes in a tall, but it's very creamy and not strong coffee taste. It's really nice. I drink cappucino at home. I love that coffee crema and milk foam top. Thats essentially what it is.
@sarenu1 -- in theory, looks awesome. In reality, my bones and eggs are getting old. And yinz keep reminding me how hard it is to be BF'ing a NB around the clock, or dealing with sleep issues during those early months.
Not that DS is a peach now about sleep. Oh, yeah. It's a bit hard to TTC when there's a toddler in the middle of your bed.
I have a newborn that proves this wrong. Beds are overrated, anyways.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
@charmingthemoon I think it is perfectly reasonable to ban dairy from the house. If P remains allergic to nuts I plan to be a nut free home. It's just safer. Plus consecutive reactions can be worse and worse. Not worth it--- home should be A's safe place. Hugs to you both. Poor A.
TTC with PCOS since November 2009

No chocolate chips in my banana bread. Something about the combo is just weird to me.
I found a good recipe that used coconut oil, then I subbed out the regular sugar for brown sugar. And I added some cinnamon and a dash of vanilla. And coconut flakes on top. Oh man, it turned out so good!
I'm just nearing the end of my rope. I am feeling so overwhelmed and stressed and tired and I don't know what to do anymore. I barely slept last night so I'm probably extra grumpy from that.
I have a university degree but I'm working a stupid part time retail job that I hate and our job market is still so bad I don't see this changing any time soon. We need more money coming into our house but I've been unsuccessful at making that happen so far.
DH is useless. He thinks his only obligation is working 8-5 every day. I'm expected to do everything else. I've tried so many times to get him to understand that I can't do everything myself but he just doesn't get it.
Now the cat (that I never wanted in te first place) needs surgery because he is so stupid and eats bottle nipples and now he has one stuck in him somewhere. I can't afford to just whip out thousands for this surgery and DH thinks I can just magically make money appear. I feel so guilty about the whole situation because I've never been a fan of the cat and we have pet insurance for the dog but haven't gotten it for the cat yet. But I don't know what to do.
Sorry for the downer post I just needed to get it out.
I'm sorry @km_md. It sucks to feel like you're the only one holding everything together. I hope you are able to get through to YH that you need more support from him.
Hugs @km_md. Even if it can't help money-wise, we're always here to vent to. Hopefully your (dumb) cat comes out okay, and the surgery doesn't burden you too much financially. Is it still possible to hope he poops it out?
Am I the only one who prefers banana bread sans chocolate chips?
I have never had banana bread with chocolate chips so I don't know which way is better.
Me neither. I didn't know this was a thing.
Add me to the club. Never tried it.
Whaaat? Every time I encounter banana bread growing up, at relatives' houses, and now at work, it has chocolate chips in it. I used to eat around them, now I just pass it up unless I really need to eat banana bread for some reason.
I forgot to put the clean diapers into the dryer/on the rack last night, so I cheated this morning and threw the BG 4.0s into the dryer with everything on low. The suedecloth was SO SOFT when I took them out!

I asked the vet about that, and he said probably won't come out on its own because it's been too many days now and it would have come out if it was going to.
I'm just worried about if there are complications or something and the surgery ends up costing much more than he said it would. As it is, it is a big all at once expense for us (just after Christmas, mat leave pay, and our hours at work being ridiculously low) but if they have to keep adding on to it, it could easily get out of hand. I had to pay $225 yesterday just to find out that he needs surgery. I told him that eating that stuff would kill him but he didn't listen to me!
We do have a local organization that can help with some of the financial stuff. I've put in a call to them to see what they have to offer us. If everything goes smoothly, it won't really be an issue, we will just pay for it and just have to put extra back into savings to make sure that we build it back up. But if there are complications, it is a few hundred dollars for every additional thing that they have to do.
I really just feel horrible. I feel really embarrassed about the whole financial situation. But we are basically a one income family, and we've had quite a few big expenses lately, so we just don't have the big savings account like we used to.
Everyone is OMG THE COLD here today, so I decided to stay inside. Right now it's 15 degrees and sunny with no wind (for folks who live in warmer weather this means that the weather is totally fine for going outside in). But since I already decided to not go outside for our daily walk, M is now napping on me while I walking slowly on my manual treadmill. Perhaps this might make for acceptable winter exercise?
If I had some pressing reason top go out I would. But bundling up multiple children, getting in and out of carseats, etc, just gets old. I'm not going anywhere.
My coworker just gave me 3 vintage wooden puzzles from her basement. They are so neat. One is a farm and when you lift the piece the animals are underneath (the piece is a door to a barn or a wagon or hay or something). The other is transport - so the plane is in the sky and when you lift it - there are the people. I am not sure M will be able to put them back in - but she'll love peeking at things - and she has gotten really good at putting her simple puzzles back together lately.
My MIL got a puzzle (luckily for her house) that makes noise and needs batteries. WTF?
Is 70's/80's ok to be vintage? Yikes.
Those puzzles sound awesome stringy! I saw some of those noise making, batteries required puzzles last time I was at TRU, and also said WTF? Why does a puzzle need batteries and noises?
The car said 6 this morning. It was sunny, but we have some nasty wind that is making it feel colder.
I still bundled up my daughter and got her to school just fine.
C is staying home, he has a bad cold. He was at the doctor's yesterday and they checked him for flu (negative) and pneumonia (negative). We just need to sit it out.

School was cancelled here today due to wind chills of -25 and colder and ds2 could have gone to music class today but I decided I'm not setting foot outside until I have to go to work......mail is still out side cause I have refused to even open the door to get it.

Bummis, but I've had nothing but problems with their wet bags.
And I have never had a single issue with my bummi's wetbags, and I've had 5 of them in rotation for 2.5 years.

I'm a Peyton fan as well. He is partially the reason behind me slowly converting to a Broncos fan. I'll have dual fanship with them and Washington.
