GL to everyone going back to work. I go back March 3rd. I had a brief fleeting thought the other day that I missed work and then promptly discarded it.
Had a mini cry sesh yesterday because I never get a real break from this mom thing. Well duh, but it's just that when I'm home alone it's one thing on to the next. I can't just pass her off to DH when I want a break or need to eat or go to the bathroom. So when the weekend happens and I don't actually get to have one day or even a couple hours off from baby duty I start to save a tiny bit of resentment away. Then I feel shitty because that feeling sucks and honestly my H rocks. He's also really good at reading me so he made me fess up, hence the tears. As soon as he realized that what I really needed him to do was watch the baby instead of the insanely helpful post holiday organization, he jumped right in. I fucking love him. I ended up putting the ornaments away and cleaning the kitchen. I almost felt normal.
@bazingabee fuck that! Hopefully your H has the good sense to listen to his wife. There's only one mother allowed in your home!
@MrsSinner402 We're going through that transition as well. We just started putting her in sleep sacks. We have mixed results, so if she wakes up easily one night, we swaddle, otherwise well put her in a sack. Last night she slept for a solid 10 hours in her sleep sack. We put her in it during her day naps as well. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it seems to be working for us.
I'm trying to catch up on at least one randoms thread today. I havent read a full one in weeks. I miss you lady's. Baby is awake now and I only got through page 2...
First day back to work...Baby woke up at 12, I popped the binky back in. Woke up again at 4am, but Unicorn Husband fed her. She got up again around 5:40, I fed her some more, because she was WIDE. AWAKE. Fell back asleep and decided to toss the morning run into the Fuckit Bucket. Oh well. I need to transition to this schedule, right? I'm hoping I sleep better tonight and it gets easier.
Unicorn Husband is all "she is done," so he doesn't feed her enough to keep the bitch asleep. I keep feeding her until she clamps her mouth shut. If she just stops, I'll wiggle the bottle, and she starts again. He does not understand her like I do. Which is why I think she got up again at 5:40, btw.
Dropped her off at the sitter's, and she's posted pictures of her on FB. She says she's super happy. WHAT THE HELL. It's like she realized her mom is the Fun Police, and it's ok to be awesome during the day.
@Nicb13
Are you going to the play off game on Saturday?!
We were but my mom can't watch the kids and I don't really trust anyone else We will go to the next one for sure though!
Are you???
I wish. Tickets for nosebleed seats are going for $500+ each ticket. If only we could skip our mortgage payment, haha.
Actually now that we are playing Carolina, and they suck, tickets are WAY cheaper! But we are saving our money and going broke over the next game instead
I'm jealous you got Carolina. I felt way more confident about beating them than Dallas...
We tried this... only the sleeves were much shorter, felt like I was putting DD in a straight jacket. She actually slept worse with this thing so we stopped using it after 3 nights.
So now that I changed my avatar I'm having a difficult time realizing if I love titted something or not because i'm still looking for my other pic at the bottom of each post. I keep love titting, unloving, and then relovetitting.
Ok, all this talk of moving from the swaddle because babies are rolling over is confusing. APurp is content to stay on her back forever, and I was told that doesn't even happen until 6/7 months. Do I need to be watching for this now? She moves around in the crib, but she's never rolled. And I love the swaddles. Please don't tell me to stop swaddling. I'll die.

Packers fan right? You have Aaron Rodgers...you should be confident! Tony Romo always finds a way to blow it!
Not that it matters. The Seahawks will beat whoever wins. Might as well just call it a season now.
So, remember the guy who came in to do my shit while I was gone? And we hated him? Apparently, he's "awesome" now, and everyone likes him. I'm sort of like an elephant in that I NEVER FORGET, so I'm skeptical, but I now feel the need to pull him aside and apologize for being super pregnant and super bitchy.
There are like 5 new people here. Too bad they don't know how bitchy I am.
When I had started this job, I was just a wee tiny bit pregnant. So, these coworkers don't even know what I'm like not pregnant. I told one today that I was sorry to break it to her, but if she was thinking I was just a bitch because I was pregnant, she was wrong. I'm probably even bitchier when I'm NOT pregnant.
No caught up yet, but 1st day of work hasn't been that bad...except for the fact that I had EVERYTHING organized for this morning except my pump parts were in the drying rack bc I dried them last night. Low and behold...I left them at home! I was already 20 minutes late to work bc Noah decided to finally wake up enough to eat right before I had to leave. My boss let me go back home and get them...but that meant I've already driven 45 miles today and spent 1.5 hours in the car. Daycare sent me a picture of Noah which was sweet. Now just trying to get my work done so I can leave here and see my LO!
Hope things have gone well for other mamas going back to work.

OK, nap number 2 underway. Caught up. Guess no one missed me. Thanks notches.
We hired a contractor to build a deck in the back yard. LO took her first nap in Mommy's room since it's farthest from the noise (cutting through concrete), but nap 2 is now only happening in the mommy since she woke up twice, so that's what's happening now.

So DH loaded my digital frame with pictures of C on it. But he also put on some random pictures of our cat and a handful of cruises. I laugh every time they come up.

So many responses in my head, but I feel like I'll jinx something if I start talking smack a game ahead... I'm a very paranoid Packers fan. As in, I'll change clothes halfway through a game because the sweatshirt isn't working and I need to be in my jersey. Like the commercial says, it's only weird if it doesn't work.

Same here, keeping it to myself... DD will be in her Aaron Rodgers jersey, because the only time the Packers have lost a game since she was born is when she didn't have her onsie/jersey on!!
@MrsSinner402 - I want to block MIL's number from DH's phone so she can stop spewing her 35 year old information to him and making me look like I'm a crazy person. It does not help that her sister bought DS baby food and flavored baby cereal as part of his Christmas gift. MIL got all offended when I opened it and said "oh, this will be nice to have in a few months when we start transitioning him to food." Basically, there's food in the house and I'm worried DH will go against everything I've told him (and the pedi has said) and try to feed him because his mom said it was ok.
@MrsBabe614 - rock that mascara streak! and drink all the drinks later.
Wow. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that your husband had a baby with his mother? I reeeeaaallllyyyy hope he doesn't pull some crap like this. Parents can have opposing views on some parenting aspects, but the tie goes to the pedi in this case, NOT the crazy overbearing MIL.
So today I've flipped off a co-worker for being an asshole, figured out my own damn fix for an issue, and ate lunch by myself at a restaurant like a boss. I'm kicking Monday's ass.
LO's two month appointment got canceled today (it was already pushed back because of the holidays) because her doctor got the flu. It is so bad where I live this year!
Monday has been uneventful but busy. One the plus side DH realized that we could switch lo to his health plan at work and save us $100 a month and it reduced the deductible for $1000 to $500. I all that a win!
Big hugs to all the momma back at work today. Hope your los smile big for you when you pick them up. It seems I am in a mad dash going down the hall of his school to get to him. It takes all I have no to run!
Hope all that are sick get better soon and that these babies start acting right and sleeping!
I had TB based dream last night and it was trippy. Can really remember anything other than I felt like a cool kid. (I'm so lame!)
Hey, at least your not Giants fans!!! I usually root for NE second, but I love Peyton manning so I'm torn. I hope they destroy Indy.
@spurp13
You missed a WK come at me!!!
@SPurp13 I don't know why, but I read something about babies rolling while swaddled with arms in and it's just got me paranoid. She can't roll back to front yet, but I feel like in a swaddle it'll be easier for her to do so because she squirms so much at night. I'm probably preemptively worrying about this, but I can't stop. :-<
