Starting these early today because many of us start work today and I know I need the distraction. So hugs to those struggling this Monday morning.

I am going to try to shake it off and have a good first day!

So we tried arms out swaddling last night. Fuck that. DD wasn't having it. She was wrapped up with arms in again at midnight. I'm terrified of her rolling while swaddled, but it is the only way she sleeps well. I wish I knew of a way to prevent rolling. :-<

Starting to understand how parents reach the end of their rope and let babies cry it out. Three months old and waking up every hour. I can't do this much longer.

@mrssinner402 I'm sorry   We did small rolled up wash cloths under the sheet with DS1 to keep him from rolling at night when he was not ready to give up the swaddle. Then we started leaving him um-swaddled for naps during the day to help him slowly adjust to not being swaddled.  I think it took us a week before he was ready to go completely without the swaddle.

First day at the office. Woke up at 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep (C was snoozing away). Leaving to take C to day care in about 15 minutes.

I read that you can start trying to break them by just leaving their non-dominant arm unswaddled first for a few nights. Then try both later if she does that ok. Maybe this would work better?

But my DD still has to sleep swaddled, too so I dont have any experience with this. She hasnt started rolling in her sleep yet. Good luck.

Thanks! @keelyd‌ suggested something similar to this, too. Shes such a wiggle worm at night and ends up in a different spot than I put her down. I never swaddle for naps during the day. I'm desperate to try anything. I even ordered the Merlin suit with 2 day shipping at 11pm last night. :-<

I went to bed at 10:30, LO slept until 4am- love her...but I decided to stay up since my alarm was going off at 5am anyways. It is going to be a loooong day.

I feel like Im really sucking at being a mom to two AND being a wife. I have a better sex drive than I did after my last birth, but when I finally get DD to bed for the night, I just want to go to sleep. Sex is too much work. Im tired of being touched, and tired of feeling needed all the time. I don't know how to switch from mommy brain to wife brain.

It is something like -25 degrees with windchill here. We could get 9 inches of blowing snow. Uugh.

We will be leaving for daycare in 35 minutes.

@sweetadeline31‌ our pedi said pretty much the same. Swaddling, white noise, it all does nothing. He wakes up no matter what I do. Unless he's in the swing, which he's almost too big for and is a habit I don't want to have to break later. I cried this morning for the first time since he was like 6 weeks old. It sucks. Nice knowing I'm not the only one though.

I am trying to get DS back to sleep so I can leave for work, but the guy next door is scrapping his windshield and our walls are so thin. Baby just wants to chat with the man outside.

Kids back to school today, Mom and Dad leaving for four months in Florida today, and daycare starting tomorrow, which means I have to motivate myself to work...:(

@windwithfingers‌ I'm so sorry you're in sleep hell. I feel like a zombie with my every 3 hour boy so I know you must be in a world of pain. If you decide to try the CIO method just try realize that happy moms make happy babies so even if LO's upset for some time LO will benefit from you being in a better, healthier state. That being said I know none of us want to try that method. So. No advice here. Just hugs.

Any advice for soothing a baby while hooked up to a pump? Especially when LO is across the room? I hate when this happens.

When I try to unhook tubes and walk over to soothe DS I inevitably spill.

In order to save my sanity I'm going to stop tracking nighttime sleep. It just makes me more crazy and upset.

I'm going back to work today, starting at 12:39 so I have a few hours until I have to leave. I woke up with ibs symptoms from nerves. I wish my body had another way of dealing with stress than by having an upset stomach!

Do you have a bouncer? I put DD in her bouncer by my feet and bounce her if she starts to fuss.

DH has today off, so he has DS, but all he did this morning was complain because DS woke up "all night" - aka he woke up at 11:30 for a bottle, then woke up at 1 (startled himself awake) and I pulled him into our bed to sleep since he wasn't falling back asleep in his crib and I had to work so sleep won. He woke back up at 5 for a bottle and I was surprised he didn't wake up at 2:30 because he had been eating every 3 hours. 

DH got up at 5:30 because DS was starting to squirm around and I didn't hear him while getting ready. He doesn't understand why he isn't STTN yet and why we can't just give him food to help him sleep - so he's been talking to his mom and she thinks you should just put cereal in his bottle and cut the tip bigger. I'm so mad that I had to leave instead of stay and help DS get through the day. Only 6 hours left here.

@windwithfingers My baby sucks at sleep too. I can't get her to sleep anywhere that's not touching me. I love all the baby cuddles but for real baby, I can't hold you 24/7.

Thats an odd time to start a shift. But for realz, I hope you feel better and your shift goes smoothly and super fast so you can snuggle LO.

My kid woke up every 2 hours and that was even in my bed. I don't know what to do with her, I'm pretty sure this is some form of torture. Her first day at daycare is today. It's only 4 hours though because DH doesn't have a full day. I feel really bad for the daycare person but this baby sucks at sleeping I didn't know what else to do but swaddle. I know there are going to be a lot of baby tears the next couple of weeks while she adjusts and it sucks knowing that. 

Also I got my mascara wand caught in my hair this morning and gave myself a black streak of hair. andplusalso the person at work who's supposed to help me with my accounting shit chooses what she wants to help me with so I'm going to need a drink tonight.

Hell yes! Quentin Tarantino has him in a bunch of his movies. He has an eye for great actors. And Christoph Waltz makes an awesome bad guy.

I did this today  as well! Thank God I was just down the street when I realized. Would have sucked because there is no where around my work I could have gotten new parts and I didn't have time to pump before leaving the house so I needed to pump soon! No bueno

@windwithfingers‌ ((hugs)) Is LO working on a new skill? That sort of waking during the night at 3mo sounds like milestone to me. Does he at least go back to sleep easily?

The best thing about infant sleep is that if you don't like it, it will change soon. The worst thing about infant sleep is that if you like it, it will change soon. All babies constantly go through periods of frequent wakings and periods of long sleep stretches, based on their nutritional and developmental needs.

Baby will do one 2-4 hour chunk of sleep in the bouncer chair. Otherwise he will only sleep on me. DH keeps bitching about baby not sleeping in the crib yet. He seems to have forgotten that none of our kids slept well lying flat until after 6 months.
The cat woke me up by meowing at the door pretty much anytime I fell asleep last night. If he does it again tonight, I'm going to wake DH up to deal with it. I deal with the baby, he can deal with his cat.

@MrsSinner402‌ yes! The bouncer is great but my issue is when he falls asleep in the swing and wakes up mid pump. (:|

@Sweetsurprise2014 -  I know how you feel. I had an epic spill the other day while trying this.  I ended up buying DD a bouncer/rocker that I could keep in front of me while I pump and rock her or hit her little toys with my toes to kind of play with her.  It keeps her content long enough to pump. 

@bazingabee - Just no.... on the cereal unless your cool with that. I told H under no circumstances are we putting cereal in DD's bottle and she will only have milk exclusively until she hits 6 months - just our plan, but it is annoying when everyone thinks they have the answers. GL I hope you get more sleep soon!

@Crawford411 - hope your feeling better soon.  Your inspiration for some of us other working moms! I am getting on the 30DS bandwagon. I keep telling myself if you ladies can do it with work and babies, dammit so can I!! 

GL to all the ladies back at work today.  I am not going to lie I am happy to be back today... I needed a break as horrible as this sounds It is supposed to hit -57 Degrees today with the windchill.  MIL is watching DD at our house today so we didn't have to take her out. So grateful for that.  On top of that she is folding and putting away the mountain of baby clothes we washed over the weekend and never got put away. That woman is a saint! 

I have not started my sugar detox yet but taking somethings out of my diet already like the coffee creamer I love so much.  I miss it already! I drink so much of that stuff it isn't even funny.
