@econmama thanks for that, I did get the size 2 now that my vj is old and worn ...I think my problem is that I was being a bit too dainty with the putting in part and it was unfolding too soon. I got a bit more aggressive this am and it made a confidence inspiring noise and all seems to be okay now. I just have to get over my ickiness issues.

Alexa has Croup. She's getting better but we took her to her Dr on sat and he heard her poor little barky cough, and diagnosed her right away. They said adults don't typically get it, but I didn't factor in that I could get just a regular old cold from her. Feeling sick now and not wanting to do any of the things we have planned today!

@Stina0124@maryannespier I think we have the same moms. We had to stage an intervention on menu setting because it's always out of control and so stressful for everyone, and she still went behind our backs on two additional dishes. She has a disease. A Martha Stewart Syndrome.

Haha! I almost did a fist pump in the air because I was so happy it finally worked. It seriously made a suction cup noise. From my vag. So gross!! The idea of this thing is great but I swear the first time I tried it I had a panic moment trying to get it out. I was seriously freaking. Keagels to the rescue!!!

So, no liquor store in my area had Carmel vodka today. I finally find one last bottle and the back label is on top of the front label, looks ghetto. It'd be fine if it wasn't part of a gift. Whatever, bought it anyway.
Rosalind can climb into the little kid chairs at the game store. Which is great until she stood up on one and then fell, hitting her head on the table on the way down
Five minutes after she calmed down from that fiasco she was climbing into the chair again and tipped it over, falling and getting mad

and in the last 10 minutes Feli has twice managed to sit on it, hold onto the handlebars, then leeeeean to one side and be FURIOUS that the thing fell over.
Also, irrationally disappointed that we're not doing gifts tonight (German tradition) and doing them tomorrow morning instead. Feli was in one foul mood all day* and no sense in extending her bedtime and forcing present-opening stuff on her if we can all do this in a much better atmosphere in 12 hours.
*All four canines coming in at once. Took a 3.5 hour nap this afternoon and was just not herself. She has never really complained about teeth at all before these, so I don't want to know how much they must pain her. Poor pumpkin.
When Haddy goes to bed tonight, I'm going to wrap a few of his gifts in some tissue paper I bought today. I need some wrapping in my life and I'm slightly giddy over it.
My mom kept telling me we were going to hate my grandmother. I walked into the spare room and found out why. Can't wait for crash bandicoot to get on this.

It's kind of a farce. The one bar/liquor store is technically outside city limits but as the town grew they just drew a dotted line around it.
But I haven't ever entered the place. Too weird to do a booze run -- weirdly I feel like I am disobeying house rules if go. I also have my doubts about the quality of booze sold there.
Probably will drive to next town for better selection.
I once lived on an Indian reservation. The entire rez goes dry for 2-3 weeks a summer. That entailed either driving across an international border or 2 hours for booze. I planned ahead.
I still have so much to do I can't even decide where to begin. Wrap all the presents? Finish assembling the gift for dh? Make an egg bake? Stockings? Finish the cinnamon rolls?
In other news, I am about to take the darn cold medicine, nursing be dammed. I not really worried about supply at this point.
So dh's parents bought us new fiesta ware dishes, six place settings. I'm grateful except we do not need new dishes and I still very much like the ones we already have. Guess we'll make room in the cupboard for some new dishes.
The kids got spoiled big time by grandma and grandma which was so much fun!
@casey78 & @lizbethann82 - Addie received a toy Dyson vacuum from my parents and had been vacuuming non-stop since. Hands down, this is her favorite gift. Hilarious!!
My mom made cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole for the morning. So exciting.
Christmas is basically over for us. The next two days, we will spend lots of time with family, which will be great, but all of the other traditions are complete. I'm really sad about it. This year was so fun.
