Santa Claus is coming to town. Tonight!!

DH and I went to his friends Christmas party. I did have fun. I am pretty anti social so I need the push but once I'm there I tend to do okay. I just wish I knew more people. It's his old coworkers so I'm the odd man out really. But it was fun even if it was a bar and we don't drink. DH got water. Bwahahaha! I think the bartender hated us. Diet coke and water please. Lame. I still gave her a good tip though because I knew she wasn't making money off of me.

The countdown begins for battling the CEO Catholics for seats at Christmas Eve Mass.

(That's Christmas & Easter Only for the uninitiated.) Fortunately DH is taking the day off, the family Mass starts at 4, which means we need to be there at least by 3. And then it will surely be close to 2 hrs long with all the extra people there receiving Communion. I'm pretty sure my children can't be charming for that long. 

Too bad it is not socially acceptable to bring a flask into church.

Hope everyone has a restful and not too chaotic day today

On an unrelated note, I'm having a hell of a time learning to use my Diva Cup properly. I can't get it to not leak. It's so frustrating, I want it to work. I've had it work once so far. And there's only so many times I can redo it before I have to give the lady bits a rest for the day. Urgh...okay gurus anyone have any helpful advice??

I didn't know one picture could cause so many emotions. Lol.

When we went to Mass on Sunday the heat was out. It was cold. My pastor just posted pictures on fb, apparently they couldn't get the boiler fixed in time for today, so in the  meantime they brought in a portable boiler. Its hooked up to the church from a trailer in the parking lot. I just thought that was cool. 

He also posted some of the finished Christmas decorations:

@queenbone I know what you mean. People always start arriving for Midnight Mass at 11 here, so they started the tradition of singing carols before Mass. Now people get there even earlier, to make sure they have a seat for the music. Christmas and Easter are really bad when you go to a church that looks like that^, and is known for its professional choir.

I seriously can't believe it is Christmas Eve. I only have a few hours of work. The gifts are all purchased. The presents are almost all wrapped, and the only ones that aren't wrapped are for next week. Food is purchased and made for Christmas day. Cookies are made. Let the holiday season begin!

Morning. Not a great night here. The kid slept great. Not a peep! I was up with cramps all night. Mh was up sick to his stomach at 4am.
Ugh. I thought he was feeling better! Hrhs been having "digestive issues" for over a week. I hope that he feels better today.

At least I only have a half day today.

Aww thanks for asking. I had PT last week and it went well. He told me I'm in a lot less pain than what my MRI shows. Or I can handle it more? IDK. Anywho, I was on a weight restriction at work and then my back would feel fine. Lately I've been doing a large dog here and there and I have some pain.

Enzo was quite upset that there were no presents under the tree this morning. Sissy confused him when she told him "Santa is coming tomorrow" last night. He was quite concerned about the whereabouts of his puzzle. A few weeks ago, I did the Portable North Pole video, and Santa told him that he was bringing him a puzzle. He has been quite obsessed ever since.

I spent yesterday cooking and cleaning. DH helped me last night so we cleaned until 11. 11 people tonight and 21 tomorrow. Tonight we order Chinese so all the cooking is for tomorrow. I am so excited for Christmas! DS cannot wait and tomorrow is going to be so fun with DD and DS!

Happy Christmas Eve to you ladies! DH works until noon today and then we are headed to his parents for the night. I love my in laws but their Christmas traditions are so different than mine and it just makes me miss my family when I'm not with them.

Blah. I finally rolled in to work. 12 new requests I have to process. 12 is a little on the low end, but pretty much like a normal day. And all requests go out through FedEx, who informed us yesterday that they won't be picking up packages today. So now I get to leave at noon, but have to fight my way through traffic to make it to a FedEx drop location, because some of the packages are needed by Friday and Monday. I know the salespeople are making last minute pushes for the year end, but can they just stop?

Merry Christmas Eve! Today's plans... Pack for trip to Richmond, bake cookies and relax... Then head to rehearsal for our Christmas Eve service and the service of course. After that we have our big family dinner and get together with all the cousins and aunts and uncles etc. we all eat and then someone dresses up as Joulouvana (Estonian Santa) and we perform to get a gift. It's hilarious and ridiculous and my family has this ridiculous mashup planned that we put together last night.

Good morning and happy Christmas eve! Busy day here, I'm trying not to work, but am on call till 5, then I'm free! Lots of baking and last minute grocery shopping to do. Going to my parents tonight for Christmas eve dinner, lobster bisque, it's my mom's tradition, and it is so good.
