Yup. Feli just stands next to the bookshelf/the closest wall she can find and looks veeeeery concentrated for a minute, then goes on her way, all nonchalant. So no potty training on this horizon yet.
The doll she is getting for Christmas comes with all sorts of accessories, one of which is a potty. BF and I have bets on what she uses it for instead (hat? soup bowl? purse?).

On an unrelated note, I'm having a hell of a time learning to use my Diva Cup properly. I can't get it to not leak. It's so frustrating, I want it to work. I've had it work once so far. And there's only so many times I can redo it before I have to give the lady bits a rest for the day. Urgh...okay gurus anyone have any helpful advice??

No advice, but I'm having the same GD problem, especially at night. I know it's not flattened in there because it's partially working, but it's not full when it starts leaking.

It's REALLY hard not to just say fuck it and take the day off so I have time to make cinnamon rolls or bear claws to eat tomorrow. The elf can be whatever you want it to be. I am hoping to raise internally motivated kids ( I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do) and fear often perpetuates external motivation (I'm doing this because I am afraid of the consequence) so I stay away from the fear-based stuff. Our elf doesn't report back to anyone. He hides each morning and brings an act of kindness for the kids to do. It's been amazing to watch.

My kids have visited nursing homes, donated food to food pantries, helped me cook meals for the PADS shelter, raked leaves for elderly neighbors, attended a dance to celebrate kids who participated in the Special Olympics. They picked out and wrapped gifts to give children whose names they picked from the giving tree. They helped me pick out the softest hats and made pictures to give babies at the NICU.

And even if we didn't do acts of kindness, if it was just a creepy looking elf (I swear the eyes follow me lol) that does silly things like spill marshmallows or toilet paper the tree or spill sugar- who cares. People need to lighten up. :-@

Also re: PT-- take whatever you can get at this age. It can take years to call it done.

However, for the pregnants--- Abby was fully PT until Alex arrived. I'm talking we were winning. Then the new baby & we regressed for about 6 months. We are still hit or miss.

I'm not even actively trying with DS. He can sit & occasionally go (because he sees sister do it) but I'm not even considering it until I see more readiness.

Not even on my radar. I still have PTSD from how difficult Jack was to PT (he has never had a pee accident but omg cleaning his poop accidents when I was 9 months pregnant equaled so much vomiting). I start twitching every time someone brings it up to me.

Hahaha. This is what I want to avoid. Addie is just now getting interested in us using the potty. I promise I won't send her to kindergarten not potty trained, but I don't care if she's trained by 2 or 3. I do appreciate you all discussing. I need to start researching cloth trainers.

Morning! Haddock likes to carry his potty around the house and stick things inside of it. Currently, there's a brown football inside...

I finished my 1% shopping @spartanmomma  and now all I have left is to bake a pie and put a few toys together, yay!

I think I'm going to my sisters this afternoon to make cookies, just because. Have a great Christmas eve, everyone!

Add us to the no thought of PT faction. We don't have a potty, and I just don't see him having interest any time soon. But I PT myself at 16 months. Just flat out refused diapers. Right before we took a 10 hour car trip. To visit people who had just bought a new house with w2w white carpeting. My mom said she was a nervous wreck all that trip. Some babies are just ready earlier than others.

Rough night last night. Jason's step grandpa of 15ish years is in late stages of kidney failure and is refusing to go to the hospital. It breaks my heart and I'm torn between being angry and trying to understand. His son was killed in a car accident a few years back and he's never been the same. But he has other children too. It's just rough all Christmas festivities have been cancelled for tomorrow with his family and my heart is breaking for his grandmother.

In other news packing still sucks.

JFC Mom, it is not even noon and you are freaking the FUCK out about when to put out apps and start cooking the sides for dinner. I swear to JFC the woman has an anxiety disorder.

I just don't see why cooking dinner for the holidays is stressfull. Just cook fucking dinner. I'd be happy to cook the dinner, but she has to control EVERYTHING so she's doing some and I am doing some.

We are not doing this shit next year. One person cooks.

Yesterday, C said "poop" just before he pooped. So he is starting to have some awareness, but nowhere near ready,

Laundry done, cinnamon rolls made, sewing done, wrapping finished, but we all need showers/baths and i need to bake cookies and clean the kitchen. In 3 hrs.

 DH is trying to get C to nap. FX!

I'm freaking pissed because I just wasted my whole morning waiting for salvation army to take away our old couches. I even turned down a play date with @equinus‌ and they wouldn't freaking take the couches!! So now we're spending Christmas around our tree and next to a couch and love seat. This sounds really bitchy as I type, but I have a million and one things to do and I just lost so much time.

I can't remember but 1-800-JUNK might take them? Salvation Army was surprisingly picky about Dad's furniture. Not that they shouldn't be, mind you, but I know how you feel when you just want something gone.

Well, DH is in nap jail. I got a shower, but the baby is having a major meltdown and I haven't managed to get dressed yet. Might be time to start crossing things off the list. The kitchen isn't gonna be clean, and I might not get cookies made at all.

So I've decided I need to wear fashion scarves more often. Today I'm sporting a white tee, blue cardigan, jeans and scarf and I've gotten several compliments. Um, it's my usual look but with a scarf. Easy to look fashionable if you only need an infinity scarf. Done and Done.

My coworker gave me an itunes gift card for Christmas. 1989 purchased. No shame in my TS game.

@miss2697 I'm sorry you waited all morning for them and then they wouldn't take your couches, I would be annoyed too. Maybe next week we can try for another play date. After we were done at the park, I "ran" into Publix, holy hell it was a nightmare in there. The lot was completely full and I had three people following me in their cars to try and get my parking space.  

Note to self avoid all grocery stores on Christmas Eve.

@Karen0477 Sorry about that  bitch showing up, TTC is so frustrating. I don't know how long you've been trying,  it took us over 6 mos to conceive Ian (charting the whole time) and I just remember crying and feeling defeated every month. Fingers crossed you get your bfp soon!

@equinus‌ thanks.....I try to not complain, we have 3 happy healthy kids and I was very lucky conceiving them quickly, so this is new to me.....this was our 6th cycle so I'm feeling defeated.....I'm just ready to get going with our last baby!!

Now MIL isn't coming over tonight. DH waited until today to finalize plans. To be fair, at Thanksgiving I asked her if my meal plans sounded good for her family. But I asked that she not bring her two dogs that poop and pee everywhere. Plus, FIL plays music for a midnight service.

His parents just totally suck. They live 15 fucking minutes from us. How do you not make it work to spend Christmas Eve with your son and granddaughter?

Thankfully, IDGAF about my grumpy Mom or cray MIL. Got my breakfast casseroles done and my prime rib is waiting to be popped in the oven!

Hey pretty mamas! Trying to catch up a bit - its a Christmas miracle! Im enjoying a ginormous Bailey's and coffee while listening Christmas carols. I should ovulate in the next day or two, so h and I are gonna hop in the sack in a bit when Maggie goes down. No work until New Year's Eve. Yes!!!!!

On a lame note, the sun has not been out in Wisco since Dec. 6 and I can tell. I have diagnosed myself with SAD. Ugh.
