No go on my latest hormone course. So we are back to the drawing board. My doc wants me in for monitoring tomorrow morning before 9. I have an 8am dentist appt. Guess I will be moving that! I hope they can just push me an hour so we can still get on the road at a normal time.

I am pissed and emotional over this whole stupid process. AND I have to face the majority of my family at a Christmas party this weekend and really don't want to lie about when we are adding to our brood. I am really thinking about staying home now...

Yes, it's very odd.  I call BS too.  Also, even if I did have hemorrhoids, I would not tell anyone that I work with ever.  Ew.

Both I think, he has lived in the 'engineer uniform' (khakis with a polo/button down/ sweater) for like 7 years I know nothing about men's fashion.

Hugs @flamingemu. GL at the doc and with whatever comes next in the process. I can't even imagine the stress you're feeling. But, that said, it is no one's damn business whether/when you're having another child. I'd start working on some phrases like, "Oh, we thought about trying to conceive before the holidays, but then I wouldn't be able to drink this giant glass of wine to block out your idiotic questions."

Kohls, Macy's JC Penney

DH rarely needs a suit, but Macy's is our go-to for that.  Button-down, long-sleeved dress shirts usually come from one of the three listed above and he just pairs them with dress pants or khakis in the winter.  In the warmer weather he wears a polo or short-sleeved, button-down with dress pants.

Maya's pre-school concert was this morning.  It was so cute.  Of course, she wouldn't sing or do any of the dances, she just stood in the back and swayed back and forth, waving at DH and I intermittently.  It was still cute though.  At the end all of the pre-schoolers sang "Let It Go" together.  It was deafening.

For biz casual (not suits), DH loves the dress shirts & sweaters at Banana Republic (we get a lot from the outlet as well if you have one by you).  He is also wearing a lot of the Izod stuff at Kohl's.  He buys other pants at Kohl's as well.  

If you're looking for a place to start - I'd go Kohl's or Macy's.

This also depends on your budget.  We'd spend all our money at Banana Republic on clothes for him, but I'm cheap.

DH is tall and broad shouldered so when he buys a suit he needs someone that actually knows what they are talking about. The majority of his suits are now from Brooks Brothers. He did the Macys suit thing for a few years, but they never fit perfectly, even after tailoring, and they are legit the only thing he wears 5 days a week so money well spent.

The engineer uniform sounds like a typical business casual environment. Pick out a couple fun ties to pair with his button ups and a couple pair of slacks instead of just kakis. Macy's will do tailoring there and it is not terribly expensive. Jos A Banks always has a sale going on if you are looking to buy in bulk (buy 2 shirts get 2 free, etc.); they also have tailoring onsite.

I really, really hate when people stick their nose or opinion where it doesn't belong. I can't imagine what you're going through and I'm so sorry you have to think about our family butting in. It's no ones business when, where, how you add to your family. I hope they are actually respectful and don't ask. ((HUGS))

Our Walgreens's is always insane! It's the one reason I won't switch pharmacies. Also going to buy a gallon of milk=guaranteed 20 minutes, 19 of those in line. I always have the internal battle with myself at the counter, "Is the 19 minutes in line really worth saving $.50?"

My doc told me to get something for my head congestion to take with my antibiotic.  So I looked around the pharmacy and felt overwhelmed.  I asked the 100 year old pharmacist what he would recommend for the symptom, because a couple things on the list my doc gave me said they could address the symptom. 

He said he'd recommend I'd tough through it, that "it'll be worth it."  Didn't ask what my other symptoms were, how long I've had it, how far along I am, if I've been taking anything...nothing.  So I said okay thanks, and walked straight back over to the medicine aisle. 

And my "it'll be 10 minutes" z-pack took over 60 minutes.  I used to be a pharmacy tech.  Slap that fucking sticker on the box if the customer is waiting, come on.  Get the sick people out of there.

Today my SIL finds out if she's having a boy or a girl! (The one we're super excited for, not worried about.) They have 2 boys And REALLY want a girl.
There is a small possibility they'll tell everyone but me today. At other BILs wedding this BIL told me I didn't get to know until he got back the combined 18 months of his life he spent not knowing about my girls. Rude.

@flamingemu I am really sorry!  I can't imagine how difficult this has been on you and your DH and I know the last thing you need is nosy family.  Just take a few extra sips of a yummy drink and tell them to fuck off if they ask about it.  I've been thinking about you (in the least creepy way) and hoping that you would have some answers soon.   >:D<

@tinyhumantoe, grrr! about "just slapping the sticker on the box"...as a pharmacist, I'm anti-Walgreens, but since you're a previous pharmacy tech I would think you would know it's not always that simple. (But hope the med kicks in and helps soon!)

And as I just polished off my second slice of Christmas fruit cake this morning, I suppose my love for this tasty treat will be my UO.

@melody921 I bet there is more to the story - my dad has chronic problems with an anal fissure from a botched colonoscopy and it really affects his life.  She may be in extreme ass pain and in need of a surgery - who knows - she might be bleeding through pads or diapers or have open sores. 

Her time off doesn't seem that strange to me.  We technically close Christmas Day and re-open Jan 5.  So if her business is the same, it's really like she's going to be out Thurs and Fri of this week, and Monday and Tuesday of next week assuming they take Christmas Eve off, too (many companies do).  It sounds like a lot of her Holiday is going to be spent sitting on a donut pillow.

I say this from the perspective of someone who is sick the week before holiday... I don't want any major projects until after Christmas.  I just want to address urgent stuff and hit things hard when I'm feeling better.

I totally used points and money that I used on couponing apps to purchase Christmas presents.   There is no shame at all!  Most people told us to just not get them anything.  We have 8 nieces and nephews, 5 brothers/sisters and 5 parents to purchase for.  I think I got everything for under $100.

The last couple times we went on a road trip, I made an effort to buy only foods in the Feingold diet. In hopes it would keep their hyperness down. We always stop at Cracker Barrel for dinner and/or lunch. The kids like the food (breakfast all day!) and they can play in the store and walk around for awhile. We bribe them too and tell them they can get a toy when we stop if they are good. We plan one other stop to get out and walk. A park if the weather is nice, a museum or other indoor point of interest.

I had a dream that I got a Hercules half sleeve tattoo, other huge arm tattoo and a full back piece of a biblical dipiction and my BFF told me I couldnt be in her wedding anymore because I was going to ruin the dress. I woke up and checked my body to make sure I was only inked in the places I had gone to bed with.

Other then I've clearly been watching to much SoA, I wonder what the means. . .

He mostly gets stuff from Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, JCrew. All have decent off the rack suits, or business casual if that is what he wears.
