I can't really post pictures here. The attach file doesn't work on mobile or on chrome (and I have a chromebook so no other option). I basically have to host it on a site like Flickr and link them in. I miss out on posting stuff here.

We've been in a barely nursing, mostly pooping and sleeping schedule this morning. I need to get him to sleep elsewhere so I can get up and do laundry and clean the house.

My H will be here next Wednesday! I'm so excited I want to surprise him with a super clean house and a somewhat smaller bod. I think my goals may be too lofty.

So yesterday afternoon I decided to give potty training a try with DS just to feel for readiness. He had an accident with his first pair of underwear so we talked and I reminded him to not get his underwear wet and to tell me if he needs to potty. A few minutes later he shows up with no underwear and asks for a diaper. I figured he'd gotten his underwear wet again so I put him in a diaper, thinking that he might not be ready after all. Then he goes to another room and I can hear him grunting and pushing. WTH?! He didn't want to get his underwear dirty so he changed into a diaper so he could poop! I guess we have to give potty training a real shot now.

We were living in Mo last year, I don't know if anyone remembers all the flooding on the news. I couldn't even get across the highway to work one of the days. I slept through a flooding warning, good thing we live on a hill because I couldn't even get out of our apartment complex, you couldn't tell where the road ended and the ditch started. It was insane. They had a girl and her son get swept away by the water and it took DH and I a week to put it together that it was our anti social neighbor and her son. So terrible!

@sweetadeline31‌ I second @pnwlover12 s rec for aquaphor. I had used triple paste, butt paste, desitin and a and d, and diaper rash kept coming back and took days and days to go away. I use aquaphor last night and it was mostly gone this morning.

I will probably use some of my other types during the day, because I can hear/smell the poops pretty quick so I can get her clean and just use the diaper rash cream as a preventative measure (because $$$), but aquaphor is my new go to for nights and treating diaper rash.

Just pulled my car out of the garage and parked outside because it's raining so hard I think I can save myself a trip to the car wash this way.

Also a little worried that the water level is rising so quickly towards my front door...

@mrsl2b - My endocrinologist thought mine was a little enlarged so had me get an ultrasound last week too. Everything looked normal thankfully… so it doesn't have to mean anything1 Good luck - hope it all goes well!

Thanks for the supportive comments!

I'm not trying to jinx myself here, but The Screamer had an unusually good day. He slept the entire time he was with his sitter this morning, and this afternoon he tolerated his play mat for a record amount of time while I sorted through a few boxes of my childhood crap that my mom brought me. I really didn't need a vase full of marbles and seven used coloring books, but thanks, mom.
