Teddy has a cold. On the positive side, he slept really well. But it was only top of me and I'm now covered in baby drool and snot. Being a mom is so glamorous.

If my baby wasn't a unicorn that gave me 6+ hours two nights in a row, I'd be more pissed that she's terrorizing my nipples. Seriously, this shit hurts. We haven't had this issue since the beginning.

I started leaking while picking up DS1's toys, so I lifted my pj's to keep from soaking my shirt. DS1 comes over and wipes it off, then licks his hand and excitedly states "milk!".  It's been 11 months, how does he even remember that?!

I have a thyroid ultrasound today.y endocrinologist thought it felt a little lumpy. It was probably just a side effect of pregnancy. But it will suck if I actually have a thyroid problem on top of my diabetes, gastroparesis, and PPD.

On the plus side, I get to leave The Screamer with a babysitter for a couple of hours.

The wiggling and grunting started at 4:30 this morning. DS has had major farts since yesterday. Right now he's eating and pulling off to coo and make noises at me. :x

I made DH take a night shift because DD has been sleeping 2-3 hours at a time. The bad news is she gave him her one 5 hour stretch!! The good news is that I slept fooooreverrrr

So, Christmas is two weeks away and I have so many gifts to make! I love to make gifts, so Im doing the kids gifts this year. Plus since things are tight this year, it saves money. But, I need to get busy! I still need to make DD pajamas, a skirt and for the other cousins, Im making the string backpacks. I need 7 of those! Im filling the bags with little gifts. For DD and two other girl cousins, I made cloth baby doll diapers. But that is all Ive made so far. They are so cute though!

Eta: i forgot i also need to crochet MIL fingerless gloves. Yikes.

My brother and SIL are coming in town tonight. I'm so excited for them to meet Noah. Problem is that we are going to do Christmas while they are here and I have gotten them nothing and have zero ideas. I guess LO and I are going shopping today!

@tarraberra‌ t&p for your friend. I had meconium in my amniotic fluid and I was a nervous wreck. I was very fortunate DD was just fine.

@sweetadeline31‌ glad you are feeling better! I had some baby blues in the beginning, so I am sure continuing ppd has been so hard! I had to get myself into a routine with dd in the mornings and evenings so that I felt like there was a clear start and end to the day. It helped me a lot!


DH and I were cleared for sex after my pp appointment. We tried after DD went to bed last night, and it looked like she would be asleep for the long haul. But then she woke up and it took HOURS to get her back down, so we never made it past foreplay. I joked she wants to make sure she is an only child.

We were able to sneak it in this morning and it was not very pleasant. FFTC I think the last time we had sex was June bc pregnancy killed my sex drive. Poor DH. I felt like it was my first time again...plus the motion hurt my incision site from my c section some. I am sure it will get better...

Woke up to the clock reading 5:30. Hell yes baby, first ever 7hr stretch! Usually were lucky to get anything over 4hrs. My tits are a hot sopping mess, but SLEEP! Then I realized I'm getting the mirena put in today. Hasn't my ute been through enough?!

My kid is dead asleep on me, but super fussy when he's awake. It's been 3.5 hours since his last diaper change. I think it's time to wake the bear.

I tend to cuss a lot, I tone it down in front of the kids, but I still do it. The oldest two understand that those are bad words and they aren't allowed to say them. DD2 dropped her juice this morning and said,"Aw, balls!" Fuuuuuuck. MOTY.

DD's barium enema test got moved to Dec 26. Like the day after Christmas. When we have family plans. Ehhh so annoyed. And of course I really don't have a lot of flexibility to switch because I go back to work Jan 5. So pissed off right now.
I just want her to be healthy so changes to this plan just remind me that she might not be and it makes me sad. (

I'm bringing S with my to my root canal appointment at 12:15pm.  Is that a mommy achievement?  I already took a xanax, and I'm looking forward to the N2O, but I wish I was going alone so that I could actually have oral or IV sedation.  I'm a baby when it comes to anything mouth related.  DH worked from home on Tues so I could go to my PP appt, but today is "bonus & review day" at his fund, so he couldn't work from home.

I've been dragging my feet reserving hotel rooms for my family, and they're arriving on the 21st.  I should probably get on that.

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE our holiday cards!  I bought a gold sharpie yesterday so I can write personal messages on the back of a few of them.  Return address stamp is one of the best things I have ever purchased - makes things like this so much easier!

Day two back at work, and though I am exhausted it feels great to be back at it.  Almost feels like I never left.  Lots to catch up on, but they still need me here so that makes me happy.  Really is helping me to feel more like myself again.  I have really been struggling with this lately.  I dream of the day DD sleeps a good long stretch again.  She did ok last nigh; however I cannot seem to get my shit together and just sleep myself.  Eventually we will get on a good schedule

She doesn't poop often (like once a week) and when she does she scream cries like she is in pain. She seems better lately so I wish we could just cancel the test but her pediatrician still wants to check her colon just to be sure.
Blockage, irritation, indications of other issues in her digestive system.

We also have a pediatric surgeon consult regarding her umbilical stump so I am just overwhelmed by it all.

Baby is super fussy this morning.  Pretty sure he just needs to fart.  I got a few out by bicycling his legs, bu he was still inconsolable so I opened his sleeper and put him skin to skin on my shoulder/chest and he calmed down.  So I'm bumping one handed and enjoying some morning snuggles.  I would like a shower at some point though.

Ermahgerd. DD is a pain in the ass to feed right now! She's squirming and pushing with her feet and flailing her arms and head around and barely eating any. She's had 2.5 ounces (normally eats 4) in like 25 minutes. If I take it away she cries... what gives?!

I love when I'm bumping while BFing & all of a sudden the screen changes. Then I realize DD pushed something with her finger. 2 months old & she already wants all the attention!

So I complained on FB last night that I was going back to work today. I got a call from one of my coworkers saying "uh, your sub is going to be here through tomorrow we didn't think that you were coming back until Friday".

I've made sure she is as dry as possible after changing her diaper and have tried desitin, a&d and monkey butt diaper rash cream. Any other ideas? Poor thing looks awful! @MRSclarke08‌ I loved having short hair but hated the constant haircuts needed to keep it looking good. And the growing out phase is horrible, no matter how often you get it trimmed and styled.

My DD does this sometimes so I moved to a faster flowing nipple for the bottle. She seemed to get really frustrated while eating and would be so pissed she would just cry instead of eat. I also found that sometimes changing positions helped. I would lay her on her Boppy Newborn Lounger and feed her that way.


Oh maybe I'll move to the medium flow! Good thinking. I ended up standing up with her and she stopped crying... now she's in her bouncy seat watching tv while I pump. I hope it distracts her long enough for me to finish.

You just reminded me and now I am sweating... especially since we're having Christmas the weekend earlier.
