@minibean16 for me my LO saw the doctor at 5 days, then at 2 weeks, then the next appointment is at 2 months. Can't remember if that's standard everywhere.
I haven't even heard of a super or two level target and now I want to go! I love target. Though mine has a cafe and I would love it more if it were a Starbucks instead.

Most of the targets in Oklahoma have Starbucks in them
Thanks @flutterbuggie and @Ineedmorecoffee. Those answers make me feel a little better; I was afraid everyone was going frequently and my girl was neglected. I'm still going to investigate because that seems like a long time if something was off (and how am I supposed to know?)
I'm in the 'metro Vancouver' area (read: suburbs) where there is a shortage of doctors. My family doctor is not my favourite person, and we're changing next year when a new clinic opens up. In the meanwhile, blah.
@minibean16 I'm sorry you don't like your doctor that much. That's the worst. And also when I said everywhere I totally meant everywhere in the USA. I obviously need sleep lol.
@minibean16 in Ontario we go at 3-4 days after discharge from the hospital, at 4 weeks and then at 8 weeks and so on. We don't have a paediatrician either, we're just taking LO to our family doctor.

In the first two weeks I had three home visits from my MWs to check on both of us. Next appt is Friday in the clinic (3 weeks). Then another at six weeks. Then at two months we transfer to our family dr for that appt. (we live right in the middle of Vancouver. But I think I told you that already...)
It sucks you don't like your dr! I hope you find a great one next year. I'm a little afraid mine will retire soon. But I hope she gets some sort of replacement. She always finds someone good when she goes on holidays.
LO has been eating almost nonstop since 9:30. Maybe he'll sleep a really long stretch tonight. We have his first appointment in the morning at 9, hopefully it goes well and he is gaining weight (eating this much I don't know how he couldn't be lol). He was 9lb 13oz when he was born but dropped to 9lb 4oz by the time we left. I am just hoping in a week he at least got back up to birth weight.
I think he is out finally. Gunna sit like as still as possible for 10 min and head to bed. Night ladies! (Hopefully, anyways)
Our ped saw them at 2 weeks and not again till 2 months.
All the targets here have the cafes, but I have nevet seen a 2 level target.
I had to take dh to the dr, because his heart rate was extremely fast and he had a headache and nausea. They drew blood and did an ekg. It only showed an excelerated hr, so they put him on beta blockers and are sending him for an echocardiogram tomorrow or the next day. Right after releasing us, he started throwing up so we stayed longer. Then when we went to get the Rx the pharmacy was having issues with the insurance card. What is up with dh getting sick when I have a kid. He got mono right before I had dd and now this.
Luckily his sister was still here since she came to town to fill out job apps and to watch dd and the boys so I could do homework, so she stayed longer to watch them instead of dragging everyone out. Now she is coming in tomorrow so I can get work done since dh will not be able to help with the kids much. She is also going to try and start moving in.
Thanks for all the information regarding doctors appointments, ladies. I feel fortunate that public health will let me go in/call anytime of the day since my doctor is so lax with visits. They even offer 75% of the shots instead of having to got though the doctor each time.
@moroccojade it's so funny how popular MWs are in the city, and how sparse they are out here (approaching the Fraser Valley). Not a single one of my friends or co-workers had one to recommend. My new doctor will be the one I saw during my pregnancy. She currently works through a maternity clinic and is opening her own practice. I told her I'd be her first patient and I'd bring cake. It makes a world of difference when you're comfortable with your care-giver!
