Monday mumblings

Re: Monday mumblings

  • Low-key Thanksgiving for us. The entire break was relaxing and I feel like I was paying for it this morning. I was out of breath already as the kiddos were coming in. Luckily, I had a 1/2 day for a dr's appt-easing myself back in. ;)

Did some shopping online and then my mom, sister and I went to the outlet mall yesterday. I am actually in a good place gift-buying. Trying to minimize the amount of exchanging we are participating in this year. We are participating in name-draw with DH's siblings and their spouses for the first time ever. It lightens up our load a TON. Also, I spoke with my cousins about taking our kids to an activity together like bowling or ice-skating rather than exchanging $30 toys/clothes.
@redneckmomma25‌ What about calling some other Targets in your area? Maybe they can ship to you? I have always likes their customer service.

  • Thanksgiving was nice.  :)

I have a couple bitches & moans unrelated:

MIL asked for a Christmas list from DH, W, and me late Wed night.  She texted me asking if I had it 10 times during the two days we were with my family for Thanksgiving, BLAH.  I sent her a list with links and photos Saturday.  She has texted dumb questions about every single item on the list.

For example: For Winn I put a barbie and ken doll with barbie car.  She asked me if I meant a car W could ride in or a Barbie sized car.  Yah, I was suggesting you buy her a $500 power wheels....LOOK AT THE PICTURE with the dolls in the car ::EYE ROLL::  I have 17 texts and 3 missed calls from her today with questions - I AM AT WORK WOMAN.  The greatest gift she could give me would be to not put me through this exhausting crap every year.

  • We had a good but exhausting visit with family, it was fun and now I'm glad to be home. We put the tree up on Sunday, no decorating until this week. I also managed to clean the dining room and get all our advent books wrapped and stacked for tonight. Now all I need to do is find DD some wooden blocks, she played with DH's all weekend and loved them!

  • Second bitch:

I had customers ask to come down today to tour our new facility at 11am since they hadn't been here ("We've heard it's awesome!" - really upbeat).  Sure -  quick tour, some chatting, I'll take them to lunch, be done by 1pm.  First day back after a short week, really shitty day for this but whatever.

They get here a half hour early with notepads and I'm thinking....hmmmm something is up.  Yup, they were here to discuss problems.  Tense meeting from 10:30-4:45pm.  WOW.  I offered to take them to lunch to continue the meeting three times and they declined.  HELLO, pregnant chic here has not eaten today.  At about 3:00 I started having pretty strong braxton hicks contractions (first time this preg) and felt light headed and nauseous.  The end of the meeting and them leaving is kind of a blur.  They made multiple comments about how I was looking splotchy in the face, then when they left the lady asked if I was feeling ill.... yah turds, it's called food.  Most people eat a meal in the middle of the day.

We got all problems worked out, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they acted like they were coming for a quick happy tour; why not be up front?  We have always bent over backwards for them, we would have made it work.  I would have gotten here at 6am to get some work done before the meeting with them and pulled all their files in preparation.  They had our CEO and President in the meeting too, this day got totally fucked.

Now I'm in my office eating combos trying to feel better so I can drive home.  I didn't bring a lunch because I figured I'd be having lunch with these turds.

  • When would you be concerned about poop? G has had loose stool for about 2 weeks. Normally she is every couple days solid pellets. Today was green and nasty smelling. She had that fever last week and a cough is breaking up so she's going through something. Plus 2 yr molars I think are bothering her. It's just so not normal to have this kind of poop. Not sure if I should be concerned. It's not explosive and multiple times a day or anything.
W has loose stools because of her teeth.  Between the molars and her being sick, I'd wait another week and see how you feel.  Also, sorry about your mom :(  That is sad and frustrating.  She sounds like she is in a chronic funk, maybe with depression and/or self-pity issues.

  • Have you tried probiotics @redneckmomma25‌ ? They usually help Sean out pretty quickly.

She has struggled with depression. She was seeing someone up until about 4 years ago and she stopped. So I know a lot of it is mental as well. It's just hard to be the one to always initiate and always try and get nothing in return.

I bought a pair of maternity leggings from target the other day. Full panel. Cotton. They only had 1 pair in a L so I bought them. I want more. I cannot find them online. The ones in the store were $16.99 on the tag. There are none online for that much with a full panel. These are perfect. They are long and perfect.  I want to ugly cry over this.
I can't find long ones anywhere (full panel).  Let me know if you find some!

I don't remember them daily but she's been on them about a month or so plus a yogurt a day. I'm guessing it must be teeth coupled with whatever virus is running it's course.

I don't know if I should be concerned or not....  I have been having issues since the severe back pain started with this pregnancy.  I constantly pinch nerves in my mid right back area.

A week ago pelvic / bone pain started.  I feel constant pressure on my crotch, and when I stand up after sitting or laying down HOLY MOLY I have to gimp around for awhile before the crazy bone/pelvic pain subsides (it is definitely not round ligament pain, I get that too).  It's a problem 24/7; it's hard to even get up at night to pee.

Then today I had a good hour and a half of strong BH contractions, they are not as bad now.  They made me sweaty and nauseous - I don't remember that with W.  Very uncomfortable, but not anything really painful.

This kid is always kicking like crazy, and it's painful at times (didn't have any pain with W)... and since the BH stopped tonight she is back to being completely wild.  I'm getting a little paranoid that something isn't quite right.  I haven't had an appt for 5.5 weeks because they double booked last time.  I hope I can wait until my appt Thursday.

Does all of this sound normal for 30ish weeks?

If you are concerned go in early. For what it's worth I was much more physically uncomfortable with baby number 2.

I went through a lot of this with Aedan, he was torturous and the pain was so early in the pregnancy, ugh.  That said - when in doubt - always call the doctor.  If you sense something is off, it's always worth getting checked out.  Always trust your gut.

When DH & I were planning our wedding, my MIL asked what we would like to do for the Rehearsal Dinner. Since she didn't know the area very well, we all sat down and discussed what she wanted to do, then DH & I picked a place and a menu (so the guests weren't getting the same meal 2 days in a row) and handed everything over to her.

For the next 2 weeks I got phone calls and emails every day asking questions, changing the menu, etc. I finally sent a scathing email (CCing now DH) telling her I already gave her all of my opinions and information. If she decided to go another way she could feel free. I had an actual wedding to plan, long distance, and worked full time, and that I would not answer any more questions, she had to deal with DH directly.

I have never had a problem since. My one and only Bridezilla moment. I do not know how you deal with your MIL all the time. I would have gone crazy.

We were in a conference room and it was a tense meeting.  I knew I was hungry but didn't realize how much time was passing.  I went to the bathroom once.... and thinking back, I only drank one bottle of water for the entire meeting, so I think dehydration probably caused the BH contractions.  I drank a ton in the evening and the BH stopped.  I ended up not calling the doc.  My guess is stress, hanger, and dehydration caused my issues.

Thanks for all of the advice :)

I used to get BH with L all the damn time. I worked out like crazy with her though. Dehydration was almost always the cause. I am glad they stopped on their own. Hope you felt better today.
