  • Oh, Meesh and TJ. I love how you think MIL might be willing and able to do these things in a way that wouldn't leave me with a permanent twitch. :p

  • I started a loaf of bread in my bread maker last night, but apparently N bumped the cord and stopped the cycle. I wound up with a mess of flour with some stuck to the sides. I dumped what I could and put water in the pan to let it soak. When I dumped it out in the garbage, the paddle went with it. I've been through the nasty trash (I just prepped a roast, so there's onion peels, raw beef packaging, etc) three times, and I still can't find that dang paddle. I checked the sink and counters in case maybe I didn't put it in the pan when I started the loaf. I still can't find it. I'm stuck with trying to rifle through this trash again or just buying a new machine. I'm pretty sure the one I have is at least 15 years old. Agggghhhh. Not my day.

G has outgrown his NB simplex. I don't know if we will have more babies or not. If we do, there will probably be a larger age gap. So, do I sell them, or keep them for a while longer? I got them on a great deal if that matters....

ETA: If I sold them, I'd likely just buy more diapers.

Such a tough question.  I finally decided that 1.) I would want something to do for 9 months waiting on a new baby.  Shopping for diapers is a suitable option.  2.) I would most definitely want an excuse to get all the new cute prints.

So I say sell all except any prints you love & would be sad to not have for a new baby.

That's the other tough part tho! I only have 4, and 3 of them are cute prints (owl, giraffe, monsters). Owl is retired, and monsters is one of my faves. Plus, i have matching coveralls in the monsters and giraffe.

That is tough.  I change my vote. I think I'd keep them.  Given that owl is retired, and I have a feeling giraffe might be retired soon since it's been around so long; I'd want to hold on to those for future babies.  Probably not worth your time to sell one simplex.

I didn't want to start a new thread. Is this plum or purple? I ordered plum and it's more purple-y than expected. Are the online images deceiving or did I get sent a purple?

  • Plum is a shade of purple?

Yes, but they are different PW colors. And the online image of plum looked a little more Merlot and little less Barney the dinosaur

The teal liner I ordered turned out a lot darker than I expected. Computers lie.

Oh and he also cries for kisses and then when I kiss him he spits in my face. At first I thought it wasn't on purpose. 3 days later I know it totally is!!

Omg. M does this through the stair bannister. When he goes up for bathtime he purses his lips and goes "mmmm!" Really loud to mh to come kiss him. And when mh gets close he smacks him in the face

We were sort of in the opposite boat when MH was traveling so much for work, and I hated his dog, and I was pregnant and moody.  But we actually grew quite fond of each other during that time.

I think the big issue is that SO has never ever had a dog before, but I have. So he doesn't take care of them or know how to handle them when I'm not around. He likes them sometimes, but the second they piss him off it's over with. I just think we should of stayed cat people. I love my dogs and have put so much time, effort, and money into it. However, it's gotten to the point where it's a strain on our relationship and a stressor to my already stressful life. My time is going to become shorter and shorter and if SO isn't going to put the effort in, then the dogs will be miserable.

It's just a lot to think about right now. When we got both dogs SO said he'd put in the effort and I thought there would be more support, but I should of known SO wouldn't stick by his word.
