So my mom let me in on this little secret a while back and I though I'd share. Her Korean OBGYN (old school doctor) told her (YEARS ago) that if you want to have a girl, then douche with vinegar water, and if you want to have a boy, then you douche with baking soda water. Now, I'm not sure if this is a sure fire way to get what you want as far as gender goes, but it worked for my mom 4/4 times.
And I have read in different OB articles here and there that "girl sperm" do better in a more slightly acidic environment, while "boy sperm" do better in the opposite.
Take this with a grain of salt by the way. Just found it very interesting and thought I'd share with y'all. :-) (mostly bc this board is so slow. Lol)

And the YI meds are not safe to stick in your mouth. I'm going with the item that's safe via any route of entry and which doesn't require an extra trip to the store.

I have a hard time wrapping my mind around people thinking it's strange and unsafe to stick milk (which is essentially all that yogurt is - cultured milk) into their vagina but be fine with a chemical cocktail of heaven knows what or KY jelly or a condom covered in lubricant or whatever else is "designed" in a laboratory for vaginas.
I mean, I squirt breastmilk in my baby's eye or on a rash to help fight infection because I know it contains probiotic and antibodies. Same idea.

Or maybe he'd like it. He likes spicy.
Not sure that's what he had in mind though.
If you're honestly curious on how you insert it - some people fill up a tampon and insert it that way. Other people freeze it before inserting. You can also just use your hands - scoop and apply.
But as a word nerd, I enjoyed the debate over the plural of vag. I'm on team vagi.
@sagen FTW.
@octobermama87, I would like to know your feelings about how this thread has turned out

Also putting yogurt in there makes your vagina more cultured.....ba dum cha!
Man I crack myself up when I'm tired!
The yogurt just sort of absorbs and does its job. Some of it comes out, but as DC mentioned, it's not nearly as messy as some of the other treatments.
As far as smelling like spoiled dairy goes - when you eat it, you don't smell like spoiled dairy. Same idea.
The reason the yogurt is effective is because it contains some of the same bacteria that your vagina already contains. This particular probiotic kills yeast. You could eat the yogurt (like doctors recommend when taking an antibiotic), but it would take longer to reach the vagina and it isn't as effective. Inserting it vaginally puts it right at the source so it can start killing the yeast.
Now that I'm sitting here thinking about this, I wonder if inserting a probiotic pill would be as effective and less messy?? Hmm....

Welp, I can attest that this theory is incorrect
