I will say that yogurt in the vag is a very effective cure for a yeast infection. And garlic in the vag is supposed to help with GBS during pregnancy. Those are the only two foods I would ever stick there, I think.
During school for pharmaceuticals (obviously didn't take that career path) a pharmacist teaching the class did say yogurt was an alternative to traditional yeast infection medication.

Hey, I was just in the class. I remember it vividly because he said "whenever you women in here get a yeast infection, use plain yogurt! It will clear it up really well!" . He was way to enthusiastic about bringing up our vaginas and yeast infections in a coed class. It was pretty awkward. It wouldn't be my first choice but hey if it works and you're comfortable handling it that way, more power to you.
