@psychobutthead is it possible they are being washed incorrectly? I know my mm stuff is a PITA with the washing instructions. Gentle cycle, line dry shananagans.
Still super sick and icky...the only reason I came to work today is because the thermometer didn't read a fever...although I had one yesterday and felt feverish all night. I have my emergency lesson plans complete because if I don't feel better by 6 PM tonight, I'm not coming in tomorrow...
OAN: Sorry I have only been on here to complain, I've also been busy packing up my classroom because they hired a new Kindergarten teacher who will using this room and she starts on Friday...I'm going to be stuck crammed in a room with 3 other people...yippee.

Nooooo @Maddscientist my DH just got his first speeding ticket over the weekend. I was PO'ed enough about him actually getting it (I'm always on him about his speed. I tell him he has to set up a lemonade stand to pay for it) I didn't even consider insurance ramifications yet...
Just an FYI for those of you that are stuggling with maternity clothes. I have been addicted to the GAP tank tops.
I bought some non-maternity tall essential camis that are pretty awesome. They are super soft and will be long enough to last to the end (at least for me). They are great for layering and/or sleeping in (or by themselves).
I also really like the pure body maternity tanks. I've pretty much been wearing them under all my suit jackets. These have ruching and I know some of you don't like the ruching. Then I put leggings on when I get home and they cover my ass. I don't usually wear leggings in public with tight tank tops, but I've been caring less lately because they are so comfortable.
To the ladies who haven't gotten to feel their LOs yet, I apologize, but this is just so exciting...DH felt our little Maddie move last night for the first time!!!

My H swears if you get a lawyer to fight it, it is worth it (e.g. only have to pay once instead of 260 for 3 years (what they keep on ins.) and that they can get rid of your points, or keep it off your driving record (which is what the ins. increase comes from - not positive which one it is they just said it was on my 'driving record') even if you do have to pay the fine. As this was my first and I didn't know I didn't follow up at all with a lawyer - so I am not sure if they really can do anything. But, given how my ins. increased because of it (Progressive - although they claim all ins. will go up for it) I would definitely look into getting a lawyer for it. At least asking if they can do something to keep it from your record, if not dismiss the fine. sorry. hope yours turns out better.

Probably. I would love to have a clothes line but Dh refuses to install one becausr apparently he hates crunchy clothes

@Maddscientist thanks for the advice. Ill definitely relay the info. Our big problem is my genius was driving 2 states away so it's like a 6 hr drive to fight it... did your DH give any indications how much would a lawyer would cost for something like this? I'm wondering if it would negate the cost savings of keeping it off the driving record. The weird thing is the ticket doesn't even say how much it is. You have to plead guilty before they send you the bill.

Mine was in a different state as well (which is one of the reasons I didn't follow up, mostly lazy and thinking it wouldn't be a big deal though). Honestly, after the ticket I got a bunch of lawyer letters in the mail from lawyers in that state and county who would want to (and could) handle it. This time around, I would probably take one of the letters and call for info - could they keep it off my record? their fees? would I need to be there in person? etc. - I was under the impression that I would not have to appear in person, but I might be mistaken about that. There was no info about how much a lawyer would cost, but with the increase in my ins. projected over the 3 years before it comes off - if it is under 800 it would have been worth it. My ticket was for just over $100 (80 in a 70)
@jaztastic same boat...I am really missing my double doses of NyQuil with this cold I'm fighting...and robitussin is useless!

Hey ladies.. it's Tuesday. No randoms for me besides I finally have and avatar. Today's gloomy my dad passed away one year ago today and I was daddy's girl so it's a rough one. I need some laughs for the day. To all those not feeling well get better soon. To all those having crappy days today ... I hope it gets better for you too.
There is no D in front of the H this morning. I have training all week and get to sleep in. H turned the lights on all over the house while leaving our bedroom door open. When H gets to sleep in he doesn't even know I left!!

DH got a speeding ticket in NY state- we live in MA. He would have gotten points on his license. We have a friend who is an attorney there, so he fought it for him (DH did not have to appear) and it was dropped down to a parking ticket- no points, no insurance increase. It did cost- court fees (I want to say around $85), ticket (another $200 or so), and attorney fees (if we did not have to pay for the attorney, but he would have charged like $250). Not having points or an insurance increase was worth it. The ticket would have also ended up being somewhere around $500 due to the speed and the additional fees NY state charges for moving violations.
Swimming lessons were an overall success. She was a bit freaked out but I hope she gets more comfortable over the weeks. She was very happy for the most part though, so yay!
In my excitement I sent a really embarrassing email at work this morning. I was emailing with a reporter who was looking for data, and her first name is the same as my boss, Jane. I got an email from a Jane saying "Can you do this by 10 am?" and thinking it was my boss, I wrote back with "I'll try, but I was originally planning to spend the morning doing X and Y and plus I have my doctor's appt and I'm going to find out the sex of the baby!"
A few minutes later I get a response back from Jane, the reporter: "Wow... how exciting. Well, I just need a few stats if you have time."
Thanks. It's ok. My DH said something that made me want to cry when I explained to him my hurt that he won't get to enjoy his granddaughter and vice versa... He said he enjoyed her while she was up there with him, now she on her way here for us to enjoy her. It made me feel so much better.

Last night whiling trying to fall asleep, DH kept marveling at how huge our bed is (upgraded to a king - it is fan-freakin-tastic!). He was like "I rolled over to snuggle and you were still so far away!" He was also talking about the possibility of doing co-sleeping. Now I don't know much about it, so any of you ladies that have experience/know anything, what are your thoughts? The thought of having my newborn sleep in my bed with me scares me a bit, even though DH and I are pretty light sleepers, I'd still be terrified of something happening. We do have a rocking sleeper we were given that I planned on keeping beside the bed for the first month or so to have Peanut sleep in the same room with us. Ahh so much to think about!
I really loved my co sleeper. It's almost like they are in bed with you

It's definitely a personal call. We had Ella in our bedroom for about 4 months or so (to be honest I can't even remember) but she was in a co-sleeper, a bassinet, etc. She was never in bed with us. It freaked me out way too much and I was absolutely not comfortable doing it.
For me, I felt a million times more like a human once she was OUT OF OUR ROOM. It was like I had my own space back again!!

Ok so have any of you been able to kill a whole 12 inch sub from Subway in 1 sitting while pregnant? I just ate half along with the chips and want the other half now. Is this normal?

Man! I would be up for this if it wasn't for the fact that we are spending every free moment we have working on getting the basement done. Would have loved to have gotten to meet some of ya'll!
Speaking of eating delicious things. I bought a pumpkin spice danish (12 inches long, 4 inches wide) at the grocery store on Sunday. I have eaten all of it except about a 2 inch wide strip at the end.
I have no regrets. I might go buy another one today. Eat all the pumpkin things.
Let me preface this post by saying I HATE McDonalds burgers. HATE. I juat ate a Big Mac and large fry for lunch. I'm pretty sure I will live to regret that decision.

@mandamoochie I just double checked with DH and he said that the court fee and the downgraded parking ticket was just under $200 total. So even if we had to pay an attorney (we did end up sending him a fat giftcard to a local restaurant), it was well worth it. Especially not having to go there for it!
Venting... Im tired, sick and dont feel like working, but I really have to get a move on this project. Still trying to avoid going out of the country for work stuff.
All I want to do right now is sit home, eat, watch my DVR/OnDemand, and shop for baby shit.

Does anyone have a sleep number bed. We have been in the market for a new bed for a while and now that the townhouse is sold and we are not carrying two mortgages it is time to make it happen, especially since I want some GOOD sleep for my third tri.
Any reviews, like it, hate it?
We are leaning towards the memory foam Sleep number bed with the adjustable base (that brings your head up into a recline position). PERFECT for MOTN nursing!
