Try not to worry @erobbins09 Hopefully your OB can reassure you.
Today is going to be a long day. I'm working until 6pm, when I normally leave at 3pm, and then we have Bradley class at 7pm. I'll probably want to skip class tonight but I know I'll regret it, so I'll just have to power through. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!
W let out a rip roaring fart last night in the bathtub. I about feel over from the smell. I thought we were going to have our first pooping in the tub incident but thankfully she waited until two minutes after she had on a diaper.
You HAVEN'T Had that happen yet??? Holy shit, that has happened at least 10 times in the last 2 years. There is nothing more disgusting than fishing soggy poop out of the tub and trying to rescue all the toys before you decide to just give up and throw them in the garbage.
Morning lovely ladies. Is it Friday yet.. sheesh. I didn't want to get up. The bed and DH wanted me to stay in and LO gave me a run for my money last night with hip stretching pain. She must be growing away in there.

Knock on wood, we haven't had it happen yet either. Lots of peeing in the tub (typical boy), but no number 2!

My Random (which is a confession of sorts): I googled the correct usage of I.E. and E.G. last week and I'm really trying to use them correctly now. I always ALWAYS used I.E. because I like the looks of it better. "> I find most of the time I actually need to use E.G. so I probably looked like an idiot for years.
HAH I should probably do this...I don't doubt I've been using them wrong myself.
Oh man, I get a grammar hard on when using them properly. Totally different once you know what the letters stand for!

We've only ever had 2 tub poop incidents. Oddly enough, both took place on Fathers Day - "Happy Fathers Day, DH! Now clean that poo out of the tub!"
I have my A/S today too, at 9:40am -- looks like I'm in excellent company! Sending happy and healthy thoughts to all of us!
Random: when my 3-year-old wakes up in the morning, I usually give her a few minutes before I go in, because she sometimes will go back to sleep, but this morning, she's playing with her stuffed animals on her bed animatedly (we have a video monitor). And I realized that, even though she's almost 3 months past 3 and has been in a "big girl bed" (a twin) for a while now... I don't think she realizes she can get OUT of bed. We don't have a rail or anything, she just sorta will keep herself confined to her bed till one of us comes in in the morning.
I almost didn't want to type my realization out, because I don't want to jinx it, haha! I can't wait to tease her about this 10 years from now...
--- Jan Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives ---
Called my OB and she left it up to me to come in because I checked again before calling and there was zero spotting. No cramping and it seems to have stopped so her recommendation was that I just stay on alert and if it changes to come in. This am it was red red rather than that dried blood color... So I've got my eye on it incase it's the start of something.
For now...I blame last night's shower lovin' ">
She's a realist and doesn't sugar coat so if she had indicated I come in I would.. But I think I'll just take it easy and keep my eye out for anything troubling.
Didn't sleep a wink last night, DS is going in for surgery on Thursday, and mommy is NERVOUS!God, I Hope I sleep at some point before we have to be at the hospital at 6:30am on Thursday.
In other news, my midwife called and said everything with my a/s last week looked great, and that the umbilical cord has 2 arteries this time (something I have been worried about since with DS we had a 1 artery cord) The only thing of concern was that my placenta was a little low... she said it's not something to worry about quite yet, so I'm fine with that! Happy Tuesday!

Well, that settles it--if it turns on @Irishcurls, then I need to go educate myself!

i.e = id est, "that is," or "that is to say." So use i.e when giving further explanation, or rephrasing.
e.g = exampli gratia, "for example." When using a concrete example.
I thought my DS's regular teacher was supposed to be back today, so I mentioned that she should be there to him. He was so excited to go to school today that he wanted to leave 45 minutes early.
Guess what? She doesn't get back until tomorrow. Now I feel like an asshole Mom.
Just spent $46 on two pairs of maternity pants and 4 maternity tops! Woo hoo!

HUGS, it is rough having them go into surgery, we had a procedure he had to be under GA for when he was about 13 months old and I was a MESS!
I live way to close to the mall (less than 5 minutes)...I'm honestly thinking about going to get soft pretzels. Maybe I'll stop by a shoe store and get some blue and red shoes for @PeaceofKia. I also want to look for a diaper bag and get my ring cleaned. DH wants me to find a birthday present at the mall that is not baby related. Then I need to go to Target. Lord save me there.

Thank you @bhjones1980 my little guy is going under GA too... it's making me sick to think about how scared he is going to be when I leave him with a bunch of strangers who start poking and prodding him he is SO timid around people he doesn't know, and he's going to be petrified.
Not to be a crazy lady but I'd envision it without the bumper pads and see if that sways you. If you aren't yet aware of the bumper pad concern id do a quick google of "are bumper pads safe" and evaluate if you will be using them...
@miniwheat10 I was useless at work too. My A/S was at 3:30! I don't think I did anything productive. Good luck!
@chickenonsunday, DS had pooped in the tub about 5 times. It was the most disgusting thing ever. If there are bubbles in the it's even worse, because you don't realize it until way later. Thank goodness DS gets out the use the potty now.

I've been pretty much out of commission the past two days. I was struggling with low blood pressure and I couldn't do much without being dizzy and feeling like I could pass out. I called my doctor and she wasn't worried. She just said to drink a lot more and eat salty foods, which seems to have helped. I'm back at work today, so we'll see how this goes.
I'm bummed because my parents were in town on Sunday and we were going to go buy the nursery furniture, but that didn't end up happening.
I called in "sick" today. I'm sure I could have toughed it out, but I just woke up queasy/headachey and my back hurt and I knew it would be a slow day, so I decided to make the most of it and go back to sleep. I mean, it's RAINING. How was I expected to get moving?
We ordered our nursery furniture, and construction of the addition (where the nursery will be) hasn't even broken ground yet (fingers crossed for town approval of the plans this Thursday- they've already been denied and revised one), but I want to do more. Seeing all the cute bedding posted today makes me feel like I need to really start nursery planning. I wish I could see the space and visualize it!
Back from the a/s today. Turns out our little girl is stubborn or lazy. She was hiding whatever she could from us. Everything they could see looked just fine AND I get to see her in 3 weeks.
The u/s tech commented that hopefully they can get a picture to confirm the sex (we found out via bw) for us to keep. In my head I am thinking I don't really need a picture of my child's genitals...
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

I almost ordered A in white but DH thought it was a choking hazard I had to explain the comforter is just for looks and they don't eat the comforter. He's too cautious sometimes. I pick A @mrsclark731
@sweets0022 --I found a sham at the outlet store yesterday for 'A' and the applequed flowers are really sewen on there, I don't think a little mouth could fit around a petal. But that was just the sham, not the blanket.
I think I'm going with 'A' in lilac! It was my first choice And now that I have a pillow sham in-hand, it really sets off the wall color that I'm going with (Sherwin Williams Tidewater).
Thank ya'll!! I'm still open to opinions if anyone else wants to give one!

@PurpleTink Hugs mama! It's rough seeing your child go through something like that. DS got ear tubes yesterday and it was rough on me. And that's a pretty common procedure. Hoping it all goes quickly and smoothy for you guys!
Feeling pretty good all around this week. We went to register on Saturday. Did it all! Finally decided on a bed set. (yes, it has a bumper -- no, i wont use it)
I finally feel like there is a plan. :-)
Grey walls. DH is feeling creative and thinks he may do a chevron stripe around the middle like a chair rail with tiny pink stripe above and below.
I actually have to work today and will be out at a wellness fair tomorrow, so just wanted to say hi. Good luck to everyone that has their A/S today and tomorrow!
@erobbins09 I'm glad the spotting has stopped. I had spotting at 15 weeks with DS for a couple days that turned out to be nothing. FX it doesn't come back.
On Sunday, DS tripped over his own feet and chipped a front tooth. I brought him to his first pedodontist visit yesterday as a result. Thankfully, it doesn't look like it will die. We have to go back and reevaluate in a week, because it was loose. Meanwhile, it is sharp and he keeps biting his lip. Poor guy In other news, tomorrow is October 1, so I'm pulling out our Halloween decorations so we can decorate tomorrow afternoon. I'm excited, I love this time of year!
F15 December Siggy Challenge: Holiday Decoration Fails
Quick question about car seats: for those with a singleton pregnancy, are you registering for one car seat or two? My husband thinks it will be a pain in the ass to haul one car seat from car to car. Is it ridiculous to register for two just because we're lazy, or is that normal?
Oh yeah, you definitely don't want to haul from car to car. With the infant seats, we bought an extra base for DHs car. Then when we switched to a convertible seat, we bought 2 seats. The one in my car - which DD is in 90% of the time, is a nicer one.
