I have a feeling it's a girl...I like the name Amity (Ammie as nn)...but everyone seems to be against me on that one. For middle names I like Charlotte, Jane, Rose...Going to find out the sex asap..if it's a boy I will be in trouble!!
I've had my names picked for a girl and boy ever since I can remember lol because at this point, I have not even the slightest guess of what we might be having.
Girl: Madeleine (Maddy)
Boy: Nathaniel (Nate)
And because I LOVE names haha all of my kids will have 2 middle names as well
We've had our names picked out since before we even got engaged, about 5 1/2 years ago. We've actually been able to keep them a secret between just us and probably will continue to do so until we know the gender.
PCOS--TTC since 11/2010:
5 cycles of Clomid: all BFN, 1 cycle of Follistim:CP
1 year break thanks to deployment.
1 cycle Follistim: BFN, Lap to remove peritubal cyst May 2013
2 cycles Follistim + trigger: BFN, Gonal F +IUI April 2014: BFP!!!!!!
I've come to the conclusion our baby will be nameless. We actually like TOO many names and I simply have no clue how we'll narrow them down in the next 35 ish weeks.
(Zoe Claire- born at 33.6 weeks- November 19, '14 - 5lbs 15oz)
It's still so early on the pregnancy, but we decided on names the day we found out! If it's a girl, she will be Emma Rose and if it's a boy, he will be Christopher Jackson (after my darling hubby ).
If there's one girl: Kayleigh Joanne (Joanne was my mom's name) Two girls: Alexandra Rose
Boys...no clue!

@karla1301 - Norah is my DD's name. We always get compliments on what a pretty name it is.
As for me, I haven't thought about it. There are some names I like, but we have to go through and see how popular they are. Our rule is no names that are "on the rise" or in the top 10. Both me and H were branded our whole lives with "First Name, Last Initial" as our first name because of other kids in the class having the same name. It sucks and I don't want my kid to go through it.
Before we ever could get married, I had to agree on a son's name. My DH is an IV which means that if we had a son, it would be expected to be a V. So that makes baby names easy if it's a boy. If it's a girl, we like the idea of using family names. We both have grandparents who have passed and hope to incorporate their names somehow.
I tried discussing names tonight with DH and he wasn't up for it. I think he is still adjusting to me being pregnant and worrying I will miscarry. It's going to be a very interesting topic when it does come up. We have different taste in names. Our last name is very Germen, and few non Germen names go well with it. It took us weeks to decide what to name the first two.
DH refuses to decide on a name (for either boy or girl) until the baby is born - he wants to see the baby to make sure the name fits..... I'm okay with it. I don't want to find out what we're having, so it evens out.
That being said, we'll keep lists of top contenders.
I love names like Ingrid, Josephine, Oliver.... I've jokingly offered up Otis, couldn't do it for realsies.
We haven't really talked to much about it, but we both really like the name jarrah for a boy and he likes jade for a girl. I'm sure we will have a few others and I like the idea of naming once we meet the little one to see if it fits!
I love the idea of waiting until delivery! I also think having a short list is a great idea. I can't imagine having to decide from scratch! Too much pressure! It's what they will be called for the rest of his or her life.
DS was expected to be a girl and we were pleasantly surprised so we didn't have a name picked out. I felt when we picked out his name it fit him right away while dd's name had to grow on her (since it had been picked out months in advanced). We have agreed to bring a short list and make the final decision after we meet him/her. I'm excited for this!
My biological brother and I are both named after the same island (we're Ailsa and Craig), so I'm fairly sure I'm going for an island name. At the moment I like Fara for a girl and Innis for a boy, but I'm not 100% sure on either. I am fairly sure I'm not going to use a middle name, but if I do it'll either be Blaine (my dad is Blane, but I think Blaine is nicer). My bioDad's family have a tradition of having Alba (for girls) and Alban (for boys) as the middle name for the first born (even though I wasn't the first born and my middle name is Alba), but I don't really fancy doing that.

I'm liking Easton for a boy and Quinn for a girl, but with DD she wasn't named until 2 days after she was born, so something tells me once I know if it's a boy or girl the names will go out the window and I'll walk into deliver with a list of 5,10,100 (that being says DH named DD so this time ultimately I get the final say)
If we have a girl it will be Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) which is a play on my grandmothers and my names. WIth two boys already we've used up our name reserves so we need to brainstorm something.
Proud Mom to the ZooCrew - Jack 3 years old and Joey 21 months.
Excited and delighted to welcome the 3rd member of the ZooCrew in 2015! We can't wait to meet you Matthew Henry!
We are undecided, but if it is a boy, I'm leaning toward Damon or Andrew, while DH likes Christopher or Michael. I just don't want my kid to be known by his last initial because there's 8 other Chris' or Mikes in his class. But for a girl, my heart is set on Katherine Veralee, DH thinks its too long, and "not normal." *sigh* plenty of time for me to prove to him he's wrong on both accounts

Is anyone planning on waiting until kiddo is born to choose name? H mentioned this last night.. he kinda wants to do this. Go with a small list and make final decision once we see him/her. I said that's probably a good option because I think it will take us THAT long to decide, anyway.
This is what we did with DS1, we even waited a day to name him. We are thinking Sam for #2, unsure of a middle name or girls name yet
We also decided on names way before even TTC. If we have a boy he will be Doyle Patrick (husband's family is very Irish lol) and a girl will be Kara Michelle (after my mom).
@motherboy Sometimes people don't tell the name because it's hideously awful and they know it. My niece (so this is DH's sister's daughter) has such a yucky middle name, and they didn't tell anyone before she was born because they knew they'd get ripped apart for it. They thought since they waited, and her middle name would already be settled, that no one would tell them the name was ugly. They were dead wrong. DH and I were a bit more polite, but most the family said they were cruel, that the name was ugly and gross sounding, and that my niece would grow up to resent them. It was pretty intense.
My mom knows the names and she knew with our first, but no one else knew.
It wasn't that I was embarrassed of the name- its just I wanted to keep it a surprise- especially since our first's middle name was after my grandfather. We wanted it to be a surpise for the family.
For a boy, we are recycling the one that didn't get used for our daughter: Frederick Joseph. Frederic Josef was my maternal grandfather and then it gets to incorporated DH's name as the middle name.
A girl would be Vivian Edith. We just like Vivian and Edith was my paternal grandmother.
TRexsMum, we had that problem a lot with my first pregnancy. I wouldn't doubt if the questions will come soon with this one, too.
Announce you're pregnant and suddenly everyone claims to have more right to your kid than you. You know, the person actually growing the little human inside their own belly.
If we have a girl it will be Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) which is a play on my grandmothers and my names. WIth two boys already we've used up our name reserves so we need to brainstorm something.
My niece's name is Margaret Elizabeth, and I think it's lovely!

If I have a girl, I really want to name her Willow Anneral. Willow, I've loved since I was a teeneager and Anneral was my paternal great grandmothers name. She passed away in February. Only problem.....DH's horrer of an ex-wife named her dog Willow. DSS talks about Willow the bad dog all the time and it kills me. For a boy, we are completely unsure. We both really like Henry, but I'm afraid living in TX people will call him Hank, which I hate. I'm sure my in-laws will be the perpetraitors. There is no other name we like as of yet.

We have had our names picked out since we first started dating.. I'm sure that sounds a little crazy but we still love the names.. Boy: Samuel Scott Girl: Emmalyn Ann I have this feeling it's a boy... But I am so in love with this girl name that I have to have a girl someday!!
I really like the name Adelyn for a girl. Whatever the first name is the middle name will be Isabelle after husband's grandmother. I cannot for the life of think of a boy's name. My gut is telling me girl and I would really like to have a girl and boys names just seem so... boring! Girls names seem much more fun to look at

After 2 years of trying we have definitely thought about names- or at least I have LOL.
Our son is Michael Orvin - named after DH and DH's father (Michael) and my grandpa (Orvin)
So I would like to stick with family names
For a Girl Amelia Anne - after my great grandma and myself
For a Boy William Scott - after my great grandpa and DH's middle name
So that's what we have so far. We have a long road ahead - so things can change- but for now those are on top contenders.
