Everyone's favorite day! MONDAY! more like Mon-yay!

Anyway. I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting for my boss to get here. Our new store manager starts today. She's coming back from maternity leave (but a brand new manager at a brand new Starbucks!) so I'm nervous/excited to see how she'll be. Hope everyone has a great day!

I've been up for a couple of hours already. We were having some wind and rain that I just couldn't fall back asleep during, so there is likely a nap in my future.

We take possession of the car today! I'll get the registration and insurance done tomorrow, but yay!

Thing I love: @maasybaby‌ I too love laundry. It's the only chore I actually like. I'm going to go with flying and airports are my things. I will tolerate the security, but I think airports are fun: I can eat crap food and get fancy drinks (admittedly at a premium, but whatever) and a stroll through duty free can be awesome. I also love looking out plane windows.

Woke up at 3 when hubby got up to get ready for work and haven't been able to fall back asleep... Might get up and have a bowl of cereal. I hate feeling so tired but can't sleep.

Too tired to think of something I like that everyone else hates.

It wasn't quite as hard to get up today because it's a teacher workday. While the morning is being taken up with pointless "trainings," we have free planning time in the afternoon. Plus, we're not due in until slightly later... And I can wear whatever I want. Ah, the illusion of having a little more flexibility and freedom!

I actually do like the dentist. Maybe it's because I've never needed anything major or painful (aside from braces and extractions), but I love that super clean teeth feeling you only ever really get from the dentist!

I should go for a run but my dog and I are snuggling with hot chocolate and I should look over some work due today... So... Maybe a quick Tracy Anderson workout instead?

GTKY: I love making the bed. I like knowing it's ready for me later that night and it helps me get up and go in the morning.. Like a promise I'll get to come back and sleep later. Plus it makes the whole room look clean in a couple minutes.

Good morning. Just another manic Monday here. This last week the round ligament pain has kicked in. Good gracious that is uncomfortable!

My OB just added me on LinkedIn. Soon he'll be endorsing me for writing, AP Stylebook, childbirth.

GTKY: I love the dentist, too. The one I go to has a very relaxing office. His hygienists are awesome and have never caused any pain. He's a pleasant guy. I walk out feeling mellow. It's like going to the tooth spa.

@kkleigh10‌ haha I know! I think my mom was always about super cleaning before we went out of town so I'm especially crazy bout a clean home and made bed before we go anywhere. I know a lot of people scramble before taking a trip and their house is a mess and I just can't do it. People laugh at me because I always include a big clean in my trip preparations... But I can't imagine it any other way. So I think the made bed thing is my everyday manifestation of that.

Good morning, ladies!  It's a rainy icky day here in North GA....so rainy that when I woke up at 7:25 (SLEPT IN!), I thought it was about 5 AM.  

Last night, as DH and I sat on the couch watching DVRed Survivor, I had my arms wrapped around my sides.  I felt something, so looked down to see that my boobs had leaked all over my shirt.  OMG.  I was embarrassed, cracked up, disgusted, etc.  DH could barely stop laughing long enough to take a picture and get me a new shirt.  Note to self:  Don't accidentally squeeze boobs together anymore.

I don't like making the bed, I don't like the dentist (you people are nuts), I don't like doing laundry......

Hmmmmm....I got nothin'.

@erobbins09‌ - Yes!! I do the exact same thing. I stress myself out packing because I wait until the last minute to do it, but I also freak out doing a deep clean of the entire house. As much as I try to plan for it, I always seem to run out of time. DH doesn't understand my psychosis so I'm always the only one running around with a bottle of bleach 20 minutes before we have to leave for the airport. It's so worth it to come home to a sparkling house, though. I actually look forward to it when I know everything is clean

I DO THIS!  I'm not a great housekeeper, but I INSIST on having everything at least straightened before we leave for vacation.  It is so satisfying to walk into your house (usually late at night for us) after returning from a trip to find everything pristine and clean.  

DH's nephew (31 yr old) rents our basement, and you have never seen rage like I had when we returned and he had messed up the couch cushions, had dishes in the sink, the coffee table was crooked, etc.  I went INSANE.  Let's just say he won't be doing that again.....

I loooove going to the dentist! Eventually I will be going back to school to become a dentist. I've been having trouble finding dental schools wherever we move so I have to wait for us to settle in one place before I can go back.

I've tried to contain my snark, but I totally agree.  Mine has been relatively easy, but I don't think it is okay to wave that in the faces of those that have had a tough time.

So I am finally starting to accept that our oldest dog is losing his hearing. I was trying to call him in this morning and it was as if he didn't hear me at all and he didn't even attempt to come in until my corgi ran back out side almost like she went to get him. Then he came in super happy and ran back to his bed.

GTKY: I've mentioned this before but I love C-Span, I haven't met another person that can watch it for hours like I do.

The pregnancy comparison threads are dangerous, IMHO (how's it been, movement, etc.). Someone's bound to say something that's side-eyed. And I get those questions every single day now. I come here to not talk about my pregnancy ... or I keep it to the spam thread.

Happt Monday! I need a mental health day off from work. I had a great weekend for the most part, but the house is destroyed, as we are trying to move stuff in a couple of rooms around to make room for baby. I had a crying episode on Sunday because my husband wanted me to use a plate for my taco. I did NOT need to be told how to eat a taco, and I didn't want a plate (it was already wrapped in foil, and on a place mat). We went to the Texans game after, and JJ Watt was awesome (sorry to go on about ti again, but seriously, I witnessed the most amazing play and will talk about for years to come). 

Does anyone follow Scary Mommy? It's a blog, and I love to read the read the blog entries. Some are really funny, and some really hit the nail on the head. Like today, there is an entry about how it's not ok to ask a person ever if she is pregnant. 

I love the taste of OJ after I brush my teeth.

A week from now I'll be waking up in the Caribbean!! I am so ready for his vacation. DH has been stressed lately and we need time to reconnect. I'm still a little worries about bringing a 14 month old on the plane, but I'm hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

I love brussel sprouts. Steam until they are soft, then pan fry with butter, salt and pepper until the outer leaves are crispy. YUMMM!

@kefttsc‌ im actually in the waiting room now. Woke up feeling alright, but as I got my day started, the headache was coming. I called the advice nurse to inform her of my symptoms from the weekend and she told me come in. FX that's it's not pre-e! I can't afford to miss work yet!

So pitdigger's post reminded me of something I wanted all of your opinions about (but I didn't want to hijack her thread). DH's cousin (whom he is close with) is getting married in mid january. I will be 38 weeks and the wedding is 4 hrs away (and I live in an area where it snows, especially the last few winters).

His sister (not the bride) acted all butt hurt when he said he probably wasnt going. Yeah, um she's never been pregnant. I do find it unreasonable she thinks it's ok for DH to travel 4 hrs away and leave me at 38 weeks alone with DS. I don't have anyone to watch DS or anyway to get to the hospital if I do go into labor. (My water broke at 39+2 with DS) am I being unreasonable? My compromise was if DH took DS with him to the wedding but I think that's more of a hassle than he's willing to take on. Any other ideas?

So I feel old every Monday and Wednesday when I walk over to the university to continue my seeming never ending degree collection. But sometimes... It's pretty funny to see what those crazy kids are up do.


Like advertising that you practice safe sex by showing off your condoms in the mesh part of your backpack.

Waiting to find out if we were pre approved for a loan to purchase a house. We get to go walk through the house tomorrow. I'm so excited and so nervous at the same time! We've been renting the house we're at now for 6 years, but I'm so ready to get out of here and have something that is "mine". Fx everything goes through ok and this is where we are meant to be!

Random, I must be the worst substitute ever I woke up this morning saw that there were 4 available jobs all at high school level and decided I didn't want to work today (and those are the easiest kids to sub for).

Another random, I'm doing laundry and dropped a shirt and I used my toes to pick it up. My laziness today has been kicked into high gear.

She said my BP is more elevated than usual, not super high though. Gonna have some blood work done... 24 Urine collection and no work for the whole week.

My principal won't be happy about that, but I have very detailed plans so if she finds a sub, she'll be good to go.

It isn't even noon and I'm ready for today to be over. Our weekend was amazing and I think everyone was sad to see it end. We took all three girls to Howl-O-Scream becauwe we live near Busch Gardens and had a blast. A few of the houses legitimately scared our 10 year old, but as soon as we were back outside she was fine. No one had nightmaires. The ridiculous part was that it rained the entire night - and not just a sprinkle. I'm talking monsoon like conditions. Lucikly we only had to wait in one long line that didn't provide any cover. Hubby treated his girls to pie at 2am to end the night. Sunday was shopping day - clothes and groceries - neither of which I enjoy but the family time was well worth it.

GTKY - I love waking up early, when the light is still gray and everyone else is still asleep.

Please keep us updated!  FX that it isn't Pre-E for sure.....I know they can do things to put it at bay, but it's not time to miss work yet!  I hear ya!

Well, your principal will have to get over it.  Take it easy!!!!  

Don't stress about your job.  Your detailed plans will pay off and the sub will be just fine.

So I generally don't like bugs at all... you could maybe call it a phobia, but it's more like I just don't want them in my house. I don't usually freak out if they're outside, because frankly, where else would bugs be? But I prefer they keep to themselves. We get ants in our house, but I don't mind paying for a regular exterminator visit, because it really helps my peace of mind so much, especially with a kid around who's dropping crumbs left and right.

So of course, during the emotional times of my pregnancy, we have a mysterious infestation of houseflies in our bedroom/bathroom. Picture me last night after we found six or seven dying (big!) houseflies on our bathroom floor, probably dying because there's no damn food in those rooms, WHAT ARE THEY DOING THERE ANYWAY. I literally told my husband, you do what you want, I need to sit on the bed, close my eyes, and take deep breaths to try to calm down. He said he's going to do something about it today, but I have to not think about it, because ugh, it icks me out soooo much and then I start to spiral into a worry cycle where I can feel myself lose track of reason.

So that's what's up with this household!

GTKY: I really like sitting in LA traffic when I know it's going to be happening (e.g., when I start a commute and know it's going to be 45 min minimum). I love the alone time, and I bask in the sun, put on my favorite music, sing along loudly and off-key, and sloooooowly inch forward. By the time I get home or to work, I'm honestly refreshed! (obviously, I'm not a speed demon or master weaver)

I'm currently trying to motivate myself to get to the Restoration Hardware outlet this morning. They have crib bedding I'm gaga over, but I don't have any desire to spend $300 on bedding for my $99 Ikea crib. I already did a bunch of work this morning for my Etsy store....I gotta get in a load of laundry before I hit the road too. UGH. Coffee please..!

@PeaceOfKia Hope everything is okay enough for you to keep working! As @kefttsc said, your principal is going to have to suck it up! You're carrying twins! My principal and VPs were pretty understanding when I had to start taking half-days for appointments and left work early a few times due to RLP.

GTKY: As a kid, I loved to eat pineapple cores. Now as an adult, I can't eat much pineapple--it's too acidic for me.
