Hi ladies

Some of you have expressed interest in find a labor buddy. So I'm creating this thread to so you ladies can ask questions or find that special someone you can either use this thread or PM to find your labour buddy. We will keep this post up until next Friday and then we will start a new one for the people who just want to be paired up.

What is a Labor Buddy?

A labor buddy is someone you get to know on here or Facebook or some other form of communication (email maybe) and when either of you goes into labor, the other one updates the board on your progress. It can be as simple as such-in-such is in labor or as detailed as that person wants (please, no pics of mucus plugs ).

Once you have a labor buddy, let me or @mommymeg143 know and we will keep track. I will post those that already have labor buddies in this thread. If you know from the get go you want to just be paired up, also let one of us know. We will commiserate next weekend on who gets who. Try to keep it to just two of you. I currently have 5 labor buddies so obviously the rule can be stretched

Keep in mind that it might be good to have someone that is due a week or two before or after you... if you are both in labor at the same time it could get tricky

I'd like a labor buddy and I'm already finding this so difficult.

1) I don't want to pick someone and have them say no.
2) I don't want to sit around waiting to be picked because if I'm not, I'll feel like that kid in gym class.

Apparently I have a pretty big fear of rejection, eh? Add me to the list of those that would like to be paired up because decisions are hard

I think you should just say bam. You're my buddy. That way nobody feels weird or rejected. If yall go on same day it's ok, it's not like we will be pissed you didn't update ASAP

Would you like to be my buddy? On top of being far enough apart (I think) I know you're on blood thinners, too. Would be nice to have that in common

@flutterbuggie Sorry, @LongIslandMama1114 snatched me up one post sooner. But, I sort of love you and want to be buddies anyways, so we can just exchange outside info and be friends if that's cool with you.

I will probably just let you all know myself when I go into labor,  then dish out the (hopefully) awesome details once I am lucid enough.

@LongIslandMama1114 - I'm due on the 15th, but I'd still be your buddy.  I'm pretty confident that I will probably not make it till the 15th.  I also figured it would be easy for us since we are on the FB  group too.

@Dana633 I actually asked @Lilwatz a few posts earlier! She's a few weeks ahead of me and we're both on blood thinners so I thought it would be a perfect match for us.

However, I'd still love to be buddies Whenever I'm not at work, I'm on the facebook group more than TB so that group will probably know pretty quickly when I'm heading to the hospital! (Plus I'm being induced...I just don't know what day yet)

Looks like we might induce 10/27 at night so a good chance I will deliver on 10/28.  I got really excited for about 3 seconds until I realized that OCTOBER 28th is very different from NOVEMBER 28.
