I have a BSC aunt who thinks she's my mom (and that I'm an incapable child, apparently) and regularly sends unsolicited emails about how I should take all of her wonderful advice on how to be an adult. Today's email was about investing in retirement and how she can give me all the right information to do it properly. I always just ignore it entirely, but I'm really tempted to start responding to each of them with just a simple 'lol'.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
Guise, I worked at my old job this weekend and I miss it! ( Is it unreasonable for me to ask them to fire my replacement and consider my quitting a two year maternity leave instead????
@mandmeesh, I hope last night wasn't too rough. I know you've tried everything, but I just thought I'd throw this out there too. When I try to get DS1 to bed, and he won't, I'll just lay down on the twin bed in his room til he falls asleep. Sometimes I think my being in or next to his bed is a bigger distraction nowadays. So he knows I'm there but can't see me I guess? And at least I'm not on the floor or in his bed too. Or just tell me to shut up, :-P
I haven't been doing anything differently, but my blood sugar levels have been unusually low all week, and I haven't had a high one in over a week. I had been having one over ideal once every couple of days before. Not bad low, just lower on average than before. Weird.
Guysssss! M fell asleep at 9pm. He woke up at 9:45 and I just sat with him, parting his back and shushing him. He cried for five-ish minutes, but eventually rolled back onto his belly and fell asleep.
His next wake up was at 1:30-he nursed back to sleep perfectly
Then he slept until 6am!!!! I also nursed him back to sleep and he woke for the day at 7:30 :-D
I got so many hours (4.5) of straight sleep that I woke up disoriented. Yay for M!!!
And @flummadiddle85 he actually goes to sleep pretty easily. It's the multiple wake ups that are tough . I think if I didn't sit right at his toddler bed he would just cry and get up to come to me. But thank you for the tip
Oh my gosh. My husband who knows nothing about washing laundry, diapers, or any Of the conversations on this board just started talking about how clothes can get detergent build up on them because people use way too much detergent. What is going on?!
Let me guess, he also believes in unicorn and moose? (Moose? Moises? Meese?) Everyone knows detergent buildup isn't real.

My washer keeps doing this to some items-it's like a gross black stain, crusty. It seems like the clothes are getting stick somewhere? I don't know. I don't see visible black Marks on the inside of my drum, just on the things being washed. This is a kitchen towel Ideas on how to fix it?
Yay Meesh! (Not for the crusties, but for the sleep) about the crusties, do you have an hE machine? Or have you recently washed some wicked dirty clothes (like with oil from working on machinery or clay-like mud)?

It's just a regular TL and no super dirty laundry :-/
Meesh, could they be getting hung under the agitator when the washer drains? I have a FL but on rare occasion something will get sucked toward the drain and have a yucky spot when I pull it out.
I've been dairy free for two weeks now, and I am starting to feel a little bit stressed. I am in a bad habit of grabbing a granola bar or cheese stick as a quick snack during the day, and nothing about this diet feels quick. I'm not trying to complain; it's just such a huge adjustment for me that I am a little daunted right now thinking about doing this for a whole year. I plan to go to Earth Fare tomorrow to hopefully scrape up some quick snacks as a crutch. I've got the ingredients for homemade Lara bars, if I can ever find time to make them. (I am afraid to run the food processor when L is sleeping b/c ohmygosh *sleep!* but he is still a hold-me-all-the-time baby so I can't get it done while he's awake either. And despite my best efforts, I suck at cooking while wearing him. Is that weird?) The LC I saw yesterday encouraged me to do the Whole30 diet as a way to stave off thrush/yeast, but looking at that today just sent me to a new level of stressed out. Anyway, that's my randomz right now.

Jane, after the initial adjustment period of figuring out what you can eat, it gets so much easier to do dairy free! It becomes second nature. I'm not saying you won't miss pizza because you will but you'll figure out quick solutions after you've read All. The. Labels.
A lot of pop tart flavors are dairy free. Pirate's Booty carries a snack that is similar to Cheetos, but dairy free. You can get all kinds of dairy free yogurts and ice creams. Dried fruit and celery with peanut butter is a good snack. Most pita bread is dairy free and that's good with hummus and tabbouleh, both of which are pretty much always dairy free. If you like Wendy's, they have quite a few dairy free options. Chipotle is another good one. Look at restaurant menus online ahead of time so you know what you can have when you're in a pinch. I hope that helps!
ETA: Tortilla chips and salsa! Actually most Mexican food is dairy free as long as you don't put cheese on it and it's really just as good with a nice squeeze of lime juice and some fresh cilantro.
Why won't my toddler eat anymore? How did he suddenly become a picky eater? He also hasn't had a real nap today. He also screams and cries more than the NB.

This is us too. The toddler cries more and sleeps worse than the newborn. What's up with that?
DH lost my only PW wetbag while out walking the dog and DS today. I think he overstuffed the stroller basket with groceries and the wetbag must have fallen out the other side. I think my Totsbots Sealife and a Simplex were in it.

He retraced his steps on his evening walk with the dog tonight ... No luck. The supermarket was closed, so I'll swing by there tomorrow and ask if anyone picked it up.
