    It's super common where I am from to have a second shower. Personally I am not a fan but it's something that seems to always be done here.

    I feel your pain! I will not even find out the sex ahead of time because if it's another boy I will be slightly disappointed. If I give birth and they hand me a boy, I  will be happy regardless.

    ETA because that sounded really ungrateful:

    My mom died super young and my MIL just died recently. Between my husband and I, we have 4 brothers (between the ages of 27-38) and no sisters. None of them are married or even have girlfriends. I live with my husband, 2 sons and 2 boy dogs. This is why I REALLY want a girl.

    10 years apart is not tacky IMO as long as you aren't throwing it yourself or asking for it to be thrown for you.
