I have a real confession. Only mildly flame worthy.
When my BSC aunt posts comments or wall posts to my FB I delete them. Even if they are pretty normal sounding. I'm just so annoyed by her right now I can't even look at a FB post. What makes it a flamefull confession is I lie about it say it didn't post and make her think she is doing FB wrong.
@amjoy, riddle me this. If I am healthy in every measurable aspect (BP, heart rate, BMI, cholesterol, other medical things I can't think of), I am happy with my physical appearance and health, does it really mater WTF I eat? Within reason? I'm not talking about stuff loaded with chemicals, but white potatoes, rice, egg noodles, some white four stuff thrown in there. I mean really.
I don't give a tiny rats ass what you eat, just don't (not you specifically) go around saying you can't lose weight when you are carb loading all the live long day. I'm happy with you, if you are happy with you.
For example: I have a new patient; he's elderly and diabetic, the doc says he needs to stop eating carbs and lose weight. Pt gives me the big eyes. I say, "don't you worry your pretty little head...if you're happy with yourself and your A1C is under control, I could care less". He made himself a friend that day.
Yeah, but I think your militant anti-carb stance is colored by where you work. Or maybe I am living in a dream world where most of the people I know are healthy, fit individuals who eat normal and reasonable (to me) amounts of carbs and are fine.
It deft is, but I am not as militant as the doc I work with...he side eyes any employee eating carbs...we have employees that hide to eat McDonald's. I'm like, I don't give a shit what you eat.
And the bolded...you don't treat or see overweight patients, which is 75% of my job. It's rampant overeating, making bad choices, sedentary lifestyles...if I have to be a little militant to save people's lives, so be it.
Oh, in terms of definitely vs. defiantly - just sound it out! Sorry, had to get that off my chest. It just seems like such an easy distinction to make.
Umm... I've had Trader Joe's frozen meals every day for dinner for the past week. That's all I've got.

No! I had the same conversation with my FI the ther day about this..
If I were to guess by looking at the two words, defiantly seems right to me because of the a. I would think definitely is like defiant...ok as I'm typing this I see what you're saying. But I guess pronouncing it out loud just throws me off...does that make sense? Hopefully I'll always remember now lol
It does when you eat french toast for breakfast, cereal and chips for lunch, and mac & cheese and fries for dinner. IT'S TOO MANY CARBS sleepy.
I beg to differ. It does if I ate 5 pieces of french toast for breakfast, 3 bowls of cereal and a whole bag of chips for lunch, and 57 oz of mac n cheez for dinner. Portions, yo.
@sleepy33 I read this as "I ate..." not "IF I ate" and got to the 57 oz of mac and cheese and was all like
Now, on to carbs talk. I'm tired of having to eat! What can I eat that will fill me up and give me ~2700 calories per day? I'm so hungry all.the.time, but I hate cooking. I just ate half of a frozen pizza for lunch (3 out of 6 "servings") and I'm still hungry. I'm losing weight because I'd rather be hungry than prepare food, and drive thrus aren't as fun when it means waking up Baby from naptime. Are those weight gain bars from Mean Girls a real thing? Are they tasty? Do they make you stop being hungry? /hungerrant
@breadandbutter07 for a while I was using Ensure shakes in addition to all my regular meals. Here they are crazy expensive though, so I stopped and am still trying to find a solution.

Haha how do you pronounce definitely that makes it sound like it has an "a" in it??
It's amazing how often people misspell words because they mispronounce them.
Sure, be militant about it at your job, b/c that's your job... But like, you know me, you can see I'm clearly a healthy adult with a good BMI. You don't have to tell *me* that carbs are evil and I shouldn't eat them, because I am obviously able to maintain, and in fact lose weight, while eating carbs. Also, carbs are cheap and filling and I'm broke, yo. #Ihavealotoffeelsaboutcarbsobv #canthandletheamjoyguilt
Srsly this shit about carbs is BS. No hate, Amjoy, do what you do but I'm with Sleepy. I'll always advocate for portion control. I don't believe cutting out all or the majority of a food group is necessary and can sometimes be detrimental. It's not healthy, in my mind, to deprive yourself of sweets because it's "healthy." To me, it's healthy to have an occasional sweet (or even an everyday sweet!! if you account for it). Exercise is, of course, a must for not only a healthy body but a healthy mind.
ETA it can be detrimental because when you are craving sugar just have a little sugar. If you constantly suppress the craving, you will drive yourself mad with the cravings and binge. Eating "right" is totally a science and you can add/subtract.
I agree with the one comment @sleepy33 made about religion lol but I won't repost it. Mostly because I don't remember and partly because it seems that ship had sailed.
Aldo, @btimes3 made a comment quoting something I said and I just want to say I'm with you. I get it. I can't remember specifics (wine) but yeah. I had a friend that was Pagan and he was cool. We never accused the other of being wrong or stupid for having different beliefs.
@bkeane619 I don't have a problem at all with you having different beliefs from me or thinking my beliefs are crazy, but you've never called me out or tried to start an internet fight with me over how stupid you think I am. I don't get upset about someone having a different religion. I DO get upset about them shoving it down everyone's throat, though. I'm not even fb friends with that guy but we have a lot of mutual friends and he posts the most aggressive anti-religion stuff I've seen. I have a hard time ignoring him... I'm like...
I didn't say I thought you were stupid, I would scroll back to find your original post about him but I need to make some pulled pork.
I've been practicing this all day while on conference calls and I think I got it down. Let's meet up IRL and make this happen. #dontletmedown #ireallydidpracticethough #needalyfe
For the past 3.5 years I have worked at a turrible place. It's full of back stabbing, high school drama, everyone underplayed and treated like they suck at life... Oh and sexual harassment.
Today I got a new job offer!
#thatsrightmotherfuckers!!!!!
A huge raise, better benefits and I freaking get Christmas to New Years off now!
#thankyoubabyjesus
So, I've been a little MIA on here the last few weeks because I was busy updating my graphic design portfolio for my interviews. I'll be around more often again.
#missedyouall
Eta, I haven't told my job yet since my boss left an hour early today... And he has been known to be an internet stalker so if he reads this hiiiii!
Woot woot!!!! That's awesome congrats on the job!!!

I guess I use kind of an aish sound. If I had to sound it out it would be defa-nit-ly LOL this is weird

I could see this. Def-an-ATE-ly instead of def-an-IT-ly. If I were to say it out loud, it's obviously wrong, but just sounding it out in my head, I can hear it.
DH and I did a little too much drinking today and decided that since the season 4 DVD set of breaking bad hasn't made it back to the library and I have been #1 in line for it since early July, we would just buy the entire series on DVD. It will be here Monday. #amazonprimeftmfw

LET'S DOOOO IT.
But we have to hang out in front of a pawn shop to make it reals. At least for a minute.
Or until someone offers to buy our babies.
On second thought, let's go to a park instead.
