The lady down the hall comes in every day to see if I'm still here and ask how I'm feeling. I told her today I was feeling good and she says "you're supposed to say tired and go home to rest." I told her "ya that'd be nice, but 1. I'd be bored, 2. if I can work until my maternity leave starts I will be (only have a week left), since I only have 6 weeks."

Her response? "Don't you think your boss would make exceptions?" (I work for my mom) "At your Dr.s appointment tomorrow have him write you a note to go home and rest."

WTF? I know you're just being nice but I feel good! I'm 9 months pregnant and getting close to my due date but I'm not miserable or dying. Plus, my mom and I have already come to an agreement for 6 weeks maternity leave and I'm not going to take advantage of that. Yes she'll be flexible if I need it but just go away.

I'm tempted to get that note just to avoid being at work and getting questioned every. single. day. if "today is the day!" Don't you think if I knew what day she was coming I'd tell all you annoying ass people?

Oh and BIL and SIL (who had a baby in December) are doing things a lot different then how we are going to try so every time we get together we get side-eyed and questioned why we would do that? "Our way is sooo much better." STFU. Maybe it is. We'll see.

How much harder it is going to be going from 1 to 2 kids. Yeah I know it will be an adjustment but not really what I need to hear right now. Taking it with a grain of salt since when I was pregnant with DS everyone said it was the hardest to go from 0 to 1 kid but now suddenly 1 to 2 is the worst.

Also I am told I am looking huge and I am looking tiny, seriously people make up your minds.

Seriously?!?  I bet everyone really enjoyed that lunchtime conversation.  Some people are just clueless.

They can have baths I recently found out! While bathing baby every day when they are newborn isn't the norm, you can do immersion baths before the cord falls off. It can be very soothing to a screaming baby, because they are used to being in fluid. You just have to make sure and have the cord dry after, before diapering. They showed us some cool videos in our birth/newborn care class on different bathing practices and how to bathe baby fully in water. It was cool! I always thought babies had no baths at all for like, 3 weeks!

I've had 2 people tell me on fbook that I look like I'm having a 10lb baby! Oh and several strangers tell me that I am for sure having a boy when 2 ultrasounds have shown us lady parts.
There is a woman I work with who has 2 kids and laughs at me because I don't drink caffeine, eat raw fish, lunch meat etc while pregnant. Oh and she told me how awful childbirth is and that my hooha is going to look like a purple twinkee after. And that I will grow to hate my husband after the baby. Awesome!
