I stopped taking the pill last month and we found out two weeks ago that I'm pregnant. We didn't do anything special, just said whatever happens happens.
Started trying for #2 in Dec 2013. Found out preg Jan 2014 but unfortunately m/c a week later at 5.5wks. Started trying ASAP when that was over and just found out preg again a week ago on 28th April at 12DPO. Very excited but nervous. Praying for a sticky bean this time round.
We tried for 3 years. Over the years with the RE, we had monitored cycles with Femara, tons and tons of testing and one cancelled IUI in October 2012. This pregnancy is the result of our first IVF and I'm still in disbelief that it worked since I've never seen a BFP before.
Same!!! I was on depo shot for 6 months. Jan 17 it ran out! First real ovulation April 13... Home Ept came up positive April 23 and two betas to confirm! 10 dpo - 34 and 16 dpo - 507!! Congrats to you... We have some eager peanuts ))
We have tried for 5 years and did some fertility treatments but pretty much gave up. We were in the middle of home study for adoption and poof a + test. Very excited..it happens when it is the right time I guess.
Live like there is no tomorrow..Love like you have never been hurt...
With DS we got pregnant the first month trying off BC (which was the second month off BC)
With this pregnancy I started tracking with OPKs and temping 4 months ago, but since I am still BFing my cycles were all wonky and I couldnt confirm O, this month was the first month I confirmed O with tempting and OPKs/CM and it all matched up.
I went off the pill in August 2013 and we were just winging it based on when I got the period the prior month until March, when I started to get frustrated. I saw an OPK on Amazon and Primed that baby right to my house.
I used the OPK for one cycle and BAM, pregnant. Turns out I was ovulating WAY earlier than I thought, so we missed the window every month. Wish I would have known about those OPKs earlier!
2nd cycle of "come what may" - not "trying" but not "not trying". We've been using the Marquette method (which uses Clear Blue fertility monitor and a few other simple rules). It really helped us get to know cycles, when ovulating, how long luteal phase, etc and worked great. The first cycle I SWORE I was pregnant... nausea, tender boobs, all the signs... and I got a BFN. Second cycle I was sure I wasn't pregnant - felt normal - but took a test because I was a day late (and I have a luteal phase that is SUPER precise) and I got a BFP!
We were not trying and had one night of not being careful and got pregnant. Same thing happened with DD. We were planning on starting to try in a month or so but one night got carried away and there we were pregnant. We have been very blessed to not have any issues and even though not planned at all we are very excited for this LOs arrival. I am however booking DH in for the snip as I'm getting to old for any more of these surprises
With my DS it was the first time we stopped preventing via condoms lol and this time was the exact same ...however since my Cycles returned in January (when I slowed down nursing my DS) every time I ovulated I could feel it and it hurt like hell (about two weeks after the start of each period) so I kinda knew when to "give er" haha!
Not that I believe in it, but in high school a psychic told me I was extremely fertile so I was completely paranoid until I was married and even after because we planned on waiting a couple years. Turns out the dude may have known what he was talking about haha!
First child took 3 cycles (about 4.5 months) of temping plus OPKs. I have endometriosis and long cycles so wanted to get a better sense of when I tend to ovulate, etc. With this pregnancy (my 2nd), we were lucky enough to get pregnant on the first try. I did temp the previous cycle even though we weren't TTC, just to make sure my ovulation day hadn't changed. This time around, I also used digital OPKs which I felt were easier to interpret.
With our first it was over a year, tried clomid for 7 months with no luck. Letrozole worked the first time with DD and baby blueberry. Took me 3 months to get in to get the letrozole script tho bc we moved and there's only 1 fertility doctor here. We really wanted a November baby but had to wait. Love our health care system. Blessed to have one on the way regardless!
Almost a year, but just six cycles. My cycles were very long and irregular after bfing for so long, and we tta some months because of my work schedule.
It took 10 cycles to get DD. This wee one took 3 cycles of actively trying plus one before that of not trying/not preventing, so 4 total. Both times, I was temping with Fertility Friend and using OPKs.
18 months. I charted, used OPKs, and was on metformin for PCOS. This last cycle I took Provera after 60 days so that we could start clomid next cycle. After another 3 weeks with no period and sore boobs and CM I thought I might be ovulating. I took an OPK that was instantly positive. I had a weird feeling so I took an HPT and positive! We were shocked!
With dd, it was my second cycle after stopping bcp. This time, it was our second cycle trying, first cycle after I stopped breastfeeding. I didn't get my first pp period until the end of January.

4 cycles with DS. 3 with pregnancy #2 (which i lost), and this was the 4th cycle if you count the 3 it took to get #2. only 1 if you don't.

4 years, 3 of which were just seeing what would happen, charting and using opk's. The previous year we began seeing a specialized OB in fertility. He tried us on 3 rounds clomid, no pregnancy. Then in Feb I had lap surgery with an HSG to flush the tubes (they found endometriosis). First cycle out of the gate we got our first ever bfp but that ended in a chemical. Next month after here we are, almost 7 weeks! We are just praying and hoping that God will continue to bless us with this little miracle!
4years TTC. Lap and HSG: 2/14. 1st EVER BFP: 4/7/14, CP 4/9/14. 2nd BFP: 5/5/14. 1st beta: 125 @ 12dpo
It's been a total of 3 years since we started trying with 2 losses in there. This was the 9th cycle after the most recent loss. We had done 3 letrozole/trigger/TI cycles and one letrozole/inject/trigger with IUI. Surprisingly, this happened on a non-medicated cycle.
TTC #1 since March 2011
BFP #1: EDD 4/16/13~~blighted ovum w/ 2 gestational sacs~~Loss on 9/18/12 BFP #2: EDD 9/3/13~~Slow HB at 1st U/S~~MMC -Loss on 2/13/13
9/13, 10/13, 1/14: letrozole + trigger + TI = All BFNs
Four years here as well. Seeing an infertility specialist for the past year (my family doc wouldn't refer me for the first three). Had an HSG and several rounds of Femera, and then we got our positive : )
With my first pregnancy we got pregnant out first cycle trying, but we lost that pg. We tried for 9 cycles after we were cleared (post d&c) before we got this BFP. We had just started seeing an OB who specializes in IF, and I credit success this cycle to my OB breaking through the scar tissue covering my cervix from the d&c when I went in for an SHG.
Not one of the fortunate ones. Started trying in December of 2012. MFI diagnosed in October 2013 after 10 cycles of temping, charting, OPKs. Started with my RE in January 2014. Two medicated IUIs both BFN. First IVF BFP. Still do not believe it's finally happening.
A little over a year. I was having to take provera to bring on my monthly cycle and had just started Metformin. My hubby was taking clomid daily and I was impatiently waiting to start clomid myself when I finally got that BFP!
my heart goes out to all of you who have struggled so much and/or lost along the way. i'm glad you made it here.

1 yr. total from coming off BC, with positive test in October last year and a loss in December, so minus 2 months of having conceived.. We didn't wait any time after MC, started ttc again right away in January and positive test in May. First time ttc was about 6mos. and 4mos. this time around.
We tried and succeeded with one month of opk's and charting. Originally we had been planning on waiting awhile till we could get married as I have just finalized a divorce after 2 years and he must do the same. We put it off because his ex lives out of the country and the divorce is expensive because of this fact. After, bleeding for 2 months on POP pills I went to the GYN and she was worried about possible PCOS. I finally decided to take one month of full pills and then start to try. I felt off around 7DPO with heartburn. I took a HPT knowing it was super early that night. It was negative. The next day we got a positive FRER and digital. We were pleasantly surprised to receive good news and were prepared for it to be a very long process.
Re: How long did it take you?
Started trying ASAP when that was over and just found out preg again a week ago on 28th April at 12DPO. Very excited but nervous. Praying for a sticky bean this time round.

This time, I had my Paragard removed toward the end of January and got pregnant on my third cycle.
Nothing special, mainly just luck. When I got my BFP this time, I was for sure it hadn't happened that cycle.

jan'15 january siggy challenge: baby fails
I'm not even 'late' yet-so my AMA body is doing some wacked out stuff to try and toss all my eggs out before I get hella old.
We didn't do anything special. Unless having sex once, on CD 8, when I normally O on CD 19, counts as special. It's definitely crazy.
DH is very sad that we didn't reach a point where we were 'trying' for a 3rd, and would therefore get to have lots 'trying.' Sorry DH.
