2.5 years. We did IVF for my son. We have done 2 frozen embryo transfers, one iui, ..sent dh to the male fertility specialist to see if there was ANYTHING to be done to improve his sperm which it did...did a second iui and lo and behold here we are
1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010
Trying for # 2 since 2012. 2 failed FETS 1 failed IUI.
I stopped taking the pill in November and started trying in March. We just found on Monday that we are pregnant. I used ovulation tests. They're like pregnancy tests but they detect a surge in hormones before ovulation.
We were fortunate to conceive our first cycle actively trying for this one... I was charting/temping so that I could pin point ovulation and was taking prenatal vitamins, that's about it as far as doing anything special goes.
I just stopped taking the pill march 1st. I was told it would probably take me around 6 months to conceive due to my history with menstrual cycles. However, we have proven that wrong. I go in may 12th to see how far along we are since I never really relieved a true period yet. They think I may have had implantation bleeding instead. So confusing! lol. So I am very excited and can't wait for may 12th!
This was our first month not using any form of BC. We were just using condoms and the occasional pull and pray method. We had plans to NTNP for awhile and then actively start trying sometime this year. I found out on Monday, but honestly I wasn't testing because I thought I was pregnant. My husband bought blue dye tests that I don't like and I was trying to use them so I could buy new ones without making him feel bad. Turns out the ones he bought worked just fine.
BFP April 28, 2014 EDD Jan 6, 2015 Fur Babies: Mack, Bahamut, and Iwo Jima
I went off of BC in April 2013. Started seeing a RE in November 2013. Had to use Femara, Follistim, Estradiol and Pregnyl for this pregnancy. Fortunately, we were successful with our first TI cycle that wasn't cancelled. We had 2 previous natural TI cycles before my periods stopped as well. Technically I guess we got pregnant within 3 cycles - but it took over 12 months to get there.

TTC Since 4/13 | Me: 28 DH: 29 | DX: PCOS + High T + Arcuate Uterus (11/13)
We are beyond blessed to have gotten pregnant after the second try. I had been charting a solid 28 day cycle for 9 months prior to when we knew we would be trying again. February was the "first try" and of course, that's the month my body decided to stop working as usual and I had a 35 day cycle. This time it looks like I was closer to the 28 cycle as before, and we got our BFP at 14 DPO b/c I had decided to "let go and let god".
I'm pretty sure my mindset helped as it was totally different in March as opposed to February. We just had sex every other day in March, and used preseed.
This was our 6th cycle. I tempted, charted and used OPKs. I tried a slew of other things like eating pineapple core and such but this month we just had sex. Go figure!
3 1/2 years. IUI#1 was the trick. We had been told that IVF was our only option but got a second opinion, and they suggested to at least try an IUI while we saved for IVF, which would have been 100% OOP. Low and behold, it worked!

@dragontears507 I'm curious why they wanted to do ivf? do you have MFI as well? (sorry just don't respond if its too personal lol) I am curious since I have PCOS too but the MFI is what threw us in the IVF category

My BFP Charts This time I'm not leaving without you.
7 cycles (but i have LONG cycle...last months was 50 days) I have a mc in Dec which I'm counting as a cycle. I chart, use OPKs and used preseed. This cycle I drank pom juice everyday and lots of green tea.....not sure that it did anything but I did the same when I got pregnant with my DS. This cycle I ovulated cd20 which is crazy early for me and found out dpo10. Also my son weaned from breastfeeding in there too.
This was our first cycle trying. I have charted my period forever on an app and it gives me the exact day of ovulation. We started trying the day before my ovulation. 2 weeks later I was 2 days late and the test said yes!
Had my iud taken out 3/31 also started my period that day, so my ob told me it was possible to ovulate this month.. Obviously I did! Here we are! So just one cycle of trying
This was our 5th cycle PP. I started temping again in August in hopes of ovulating before my first post partum period. I continued to temp, use OPKs, and having unprotected sex. 5 months and one CP later, I'm here
This is my third pregnancy and we never "tried" with any of them. Just said "well let's see what happens." The first was a honeymoon baby. I realize we are very fortunate.
I stopped taking the pill in Nov 2013, and charted religiously to avoid pregnancy. We were planning on TTC while on our honeymoon in June. I'm 32/33, and have fibroids and endometriosis, plus a family history of IF, so I assumed conception would take some time. In April we accidentally had sex on the day I ovulated, and had a BFP on CD 14. To say I'm shocked is an understatement. I never thought it would be that easy. We got very lucky.
We got pregnant on our first try, last month. We tracked ovulation using the ovulation test strips and an app on my phone. We were not expecting for things to happen so fast, but they did. For that, I am truly grateful.
We weren't technically trying my DD1 is almost 15 months and I'm still breastfeeding. I was on the mini pill until January and HATED it. So I got off of it and we were trying to use the calendar method to prevent pregnancy. Well last month on the last day of the "caution time" we decided it was ok and come this past Tuesday we got our BFP! We are excited though!
Took 5 months post partum. Was tracking everything and using opks. We are happy and hope this is our rainbow baby. First 2 happened the first 2 months.
I feel like we are very fortunate. With our DD I went off the pill but we were not trying...3 months later I was pregnant. This time around it happened the first try tracking my cycle with an app. I think this is part of the reason I am so nervous about having a miscarriage...that I can't be that fortunate. Praying for a healthy baby!
I went off BC and started tracking ovulation in January. We decided to start trying in March, but because of scheduling conflicts it wasn't a very strong effort. We REALLY got to work in April, and I got my BFP on 4/24. We also started using Preseed in April. Other than that, I cut out alcohol, changed my diet to be more veggie-heavy, and started taking prenatals, fish oil, B-complex and fermented cod liver oil.
I stopped taking BC in January of this year and this was our first month TTC. Everyone I knew had such a hard time conceiving and I wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly! Took two tests just to make sure... Husband and I are very excited... this is our first!
We started last summer and tried for 3 months. Then my husband deployed, so we had to wait 6 months to try again. He got home in March and we got pregnant on the 2nd try! So technically it took us about 10 months LOL.
We didn't do anything special, just prayed and knew it would happen on God's timing.

Jan 15 NOV siggy challenge:
We are very very lucky. We weren't trying. I stopped Nuvaring in March and tested positive last week when I was late and had the worst insomnia ever.
MY OBGYN warned me too...she said most of her Nuvaring patients get a positive the first month after stopping so be carefule when we time it.
We didn't do anything special, just prayed and knew it would happen on God's timing.
